A nice hotel ,very central to the shops and waterfront. Very tidy and the rooms are clean and neat. The staff are very polite and helpful. The breakfast could have a bit more variety. Overall a good hotel.

Good central position with street parking or secured for $10. Room comfortable, spacious with a clean bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely meal in restaurant. Breakfast offer for a dollar was excellent value.

This was our second stay at the Mercure Port Macquarie. We found it quite convenient as most things are in walking distance once you park your car. Parking is available on the street or for a small fee underground. Both times we stayed the room we had was a balcony spa room facing the street and churches. Allhough very nice would prefer an inside facing room with balcony next time as it may be less noisy with road traffic and believe it or not the birds in the trees right outside the hotel.(especially if you are not an early riser) The rooms were spacious and the beds quite comfortable. The lounge was in need of a clean as it was pretty dirty. We mostly used the table and chairs on the balcony and in the room to sit when we we needed. There was a large TV which has a movable base which made it visible from all angles. For meals we ate at the restaurant for breakfast and once for dinner. The food was good but we found that the chefs had their versions of how to cook things that may not be to everyone's taste. Most places around have happy hours and so does the Mercure. It is nice to sit in the lounge, have a snack and "bevie" or two in the afternoon but it limited to what you can get. The pool is located away from the noise and inside balconies overlook it. This is a relaxing place to be when the sun is out but can get a little chilly when the sun disappears behind the building. If coming back to Port Mac we could see ourselves staying here again as per my title it is comfort in the heart of it all.

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie is in a fantastic location, a very short walk to local shops, cafes and the beach. Staff service was friendly and helpful, and we were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Rooms were a decent size, clean and inviting. Parking is available on site for $10 per day, and is secure parking underneath the hotel. It was a great stay, and we’ll be back again.

The Mercure is a good base for a family or a business trip to Port Macquarie. It’s busy (not sure how they go with only one lift at peak times) but efficient. The rooms are beaut and you can get a good sleep. We dined in the in-house resturant which was middling-to-good. The bar is beaut and they have Sapporo on tap (a bonus).

Booked short notice for a night passing through with the family. We were given free parking and also advised the Platinum members now receive free breakfast which is a bonus. The room was well maintained with a very comfortable bed and clean amenities. The shops and mariners are within walking distance and the beach is an easy stroll. Would recommend this to both family and business travellers alike. Also the reception staff member that checked me in was extremely helpful and friendly.

Very comfortable hotel, and close to the shopping. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is by far the best thing about the Mercure Hotel. It was a very short walk to a reasonable sized shopping mall.

We stayed one night on the way home from Queensland as have stayed there previously for several nights. This is a comfortable hotel with a nice restaurant and bar - happy hour drinks are a bonus. We were upgraded to a higher floor as a Club Accor member. It is possible to get a sea view, albeit over the top of a car park. The room had a small balcony. Aircon works well. a minor negative is that the bathroom is a bit small, but not an issue for an overnight stay. Note that there is a charge for parking in the security parking area. If you arrive late enough (I think after 4pm), and depart early enough (I think before 10:00 a.m.) you can leave your car on the street free of charge, but check the signs in case they change. I think this hotel is a bargain for the price that we paid.

Enjoyed the overnight stay in Port Macquarie, wish it had been longer. The walk around the town and dinner by the water was pleasant. The local history information around the town was interesting and informative

Traveling for work and always stay at the Mercure. I stayed 2 nights in a standard Queen Room. Great location as this hotel is right on the corner of the shopping Centre. Rooms are quite big and are always very clean. Not my first time staying here and it’s always nice to stay somewhere that is comfortable. Would definitely recommend if you are after a nice standard hotel room at an average price. Only down fall is the parking, you have to pay for park otherwise you can park on the street. Only thing with street parking is that there is a 2 hour everywhere in Port and is always monitored.
