El Paso Motor Inn4.0 out of 5.0

We had a one night stay at El Paso while travelling back from Queensland. We had a Hastings Deluxe room which had been fully renovated with a comfy king bed & a little balcony to sit on. The whole property has recently been renovated to a high standard with a small pool & breakfast included in their cafe on the top floor. The reception staff were friendly & very helpful. The location of the El Paso is right in the heart of town with a close walk to all eateries & straight out the back to the ocean inlet running through Port Macquarie. Credit to the manager/s & staff for making me change my perception of the 'Motor Inn's' of days gone by. This place was great & we will be back on our regular trips to & from Qld to visit our kids.
Reception Staff was very friendly & co-operative. We enjoyed our stay at El Paso Motor Inn. Price inclusive of break-fast & value for the money. House-keeping staff was also very nice and prompt in service.
Reception staff friendly Room spacious Great to have balcony Large tv Effective air conditioner Nicely refurbished Rooms quiet Close to PM Free WiFi Complimentary breakfast Enjoyable, but brief stay..
Way too overpriced for the quality of room you get. Bathroom was a terrible design, couldn’t shower without getting the whole bathroom floor wet which then made it slippery. No fan in the bathroom only a window right next to the shower that once open people through the opposite window could see straight in. Bed was pretty comfortable, this was about the only good thing about this room.
Its tidy with a comfy bed and from discussions with another tourist, recently renovated. I was there peak season and the rate seemed reasonable. Basic cereals and toast are on offer as the included brekky within their upstairs cafe. As fussy coffee drinkers we didn't try the coffees on offer to purchase but espresso was available to buy. If you're heading to Main Beach which is the closest surf beach its best but longer to walk the breakwall unless you want to zip up the hill. The real highlight for El Paso is its proximity to everything in the main town. A short walk to restaurants, pubs, shops, cinema, markets or just walk to see this lovely waterway. Missed the dolphins this year but have seen them numerous times previously coming and going past the breakwall. I would be very happy to stay there again.
I’ve been staying in Port for 40 years and walked or driven past this place a million times. This time we just wanted an overnight on the way to Sydney so thought we’d finally try it. The motel is excellent for what it is. We just wanted a nice, clean, well priced, quiet place close to town to park the car then walk. This ticked all the boxes and more. So quick to walk to the mall, the jetty, walking track and all the cafes/shops. We were woken by lorikeets around 3am going crazy in the pines nearby but that’s not the hotels fault. Nice front desk staff. Would definitely stay here again.
I stayed in room 507 on the top floor. For just an overnight stay it was perfect for my husband, myself and our toddler. Very close walk to everything including all the shops, restaurants and the lovely breakwall. The king bed was extremely comfortable and was a great night sleep. The staff were all very lovely and polite :) The free continental breakfast was also great! Toast, cereal and tea, coffee and juice was very nice.
We stopped here on our way up to Qld. Room was spacious and nicely renovated. Great location close to the break wall and the centre of town. The included breakfast was a nice touch. Definitely would stay here again.
We decided to have a 2 night stop in Port Macquarie this time on our journey from Brisbane to Sydney, and as we enjoyed the El Paso last time, we decided to stay there again. This is a motel, but the room are recently, and nicely, decorated, and everything is clean, and works. The rate includes a basic breakfast, but you can add on cooked stuff if you want. There is a little pool, but we didn't try it. We'll stay there again, as it's pretty comfortable for a motel! And it's really well located in the middle of town, right next to the water.
We stayed in a family room, there was a double bed in the main room, and in the separate bedroom, there was another double bed and a single bed. There was noise from outside, just some late night revelers shouting, but we were very happy with the room and the continental breakfast (which is included in every room booking) was great. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful, and the room itself was big, the TVs were big, and the room was clean. The hotel is central to everything, right in the heart of town. We will definitely consider staying here again.
