My husband and I came here for a romantic weekend, this hotel is great, it's adult only, major plus,it has three hot tubs downstairs, get #3 it's the best. We got a couples massage and oh my awesome. The food was really good as well, Chef Alonzo really knew his stuff. The town is total cuteness. I highly recommend it.

This old fashioned Inn is a great get away. My husband and I enjoy the ambiance and the mineral hot tubs in the basement. It's not a 5 star hotel, but it is a comfortable and relaxing environment. The breakfasts are included and include fruit, yogurt, eggs, oatmeal, cold cereal, hot drinks, juice, milk,granola...etc. Wonderful get away.

My wife and I Love this hotel we try and stay there 3 to 4 times a year. We have a plan for when we stay there it's "Soak, Eat, Sleep, Repeat". We love all of the improvements, it's a tough balance to update but at the same time keep it historical and they are doing just that! We are looking forward to the next time we can schedule a couple of days.

Very nice place, building was built in 1914 right on the stream and multiple hot pots to sit in. Several outside and several inside on lower floor. Time sheet allows only who you want in your hot pot, so no creepy joining you or your spouse. Had the couples massage and for me and my wife it was very relaxing. Had dinner in the hotel which was delicious Pumpkin pasta with chicken and shrimp, way good!!!! Had a live band in the lounge and drinks were awesome had a good buzz. Slept all night ,very comfortable bed and woke to have free breakfast. Great time and thank you.

The first time we visited this wonderful hotel was for a wine pairing dinner and overnight stay package. The dinner was phenomenal and the staff (especially Liz, the hotel manager) was so accommodating and friendly. Since then, we have been back several times to stay. The meals are always top notch. The private hot springs rooms are the best. Liz always makes us feel right at home. Kudos to the staff for all working so hard to make our stays so pleasant. And kudos to the owner for having such a wonderful manager like Liz at the Riverside Inn. She is a real jewel; just as much of a treasure as this historic old inn!

HORRIBLE! The only part of this hotel that is good is the couples massage WHICH ISN'T PART OF THE HOTEL. The assistant manager and manager told us to never come back because THEY made a HUGE mistake and charged my card $400 instead of $10 for drinks. When I complained I got "haven't you ever made a mistake before" and don't come back here again and hung up on!? WOW! Another thing is they have private baths, but they are disgusting! The ceiling is covered with plastic, not to mention the outdoor hot tub that could be nice, but the deck is falling apart and the sidewalk down to the hot tub is so bad, someone is bound to fall and get hurt! DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!

The staff, the food, and the private hot springs were amazing. Quiet location with a beautiful view of the river. I was looking for a relaxing stay at a historic hotel and that is just what I got. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Liz. The breakfast was great with a large variety and plenty of hot coffee (my addiction). It was nice having access to the private mineral pools, we didn't have to deal with the over crowded public ones. The onsite resturant was small but the delicious food and live music, not to mention the pomegranate martinis, more than made up for the size. I got a amazing massage and felt so relaxed when I left. I would definitely return and recommend this hotel to others.

Excellent service, nice rooms. There dinner entrees are first class, very nice food presentation. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Wonderful hot pools they also have massage service. Hotel is all inclusive, they have restaurant and bar in the hotel. If you don't want you don't to leave for dinner cocktails or breakfast. Excellent pastries for breakfast meal.

I stayed in Riverside Hotel recently with my dog and e it thoroughly. This is a historic hotel, with a very cozy bar and restaurant. Food was excellent. There is alot of history here. The rooms are nor large, but they are adequate. I had a room on the first floor close to reception. The bathroom was across the hall. Although outdoor soaking was not great the night I was there (water was too cool), the indoor place was great. In addition this hotel is very reasonably priced and located very close to the state park where there are several excellentpools of hot water. I would definitely stay here if I returned.

Leave your "stuff" at home and enjoy the company, the outdoors, the soaking tubs (some private!), the food and drink, and the people here in Lava Hot Springs. With wifi in the Inn and limited TV, you will be able to "check in" but seriously don't you just want to GET AWAY? This is the best place to do just that! Love the quaint room, the creaky floors, the haunted feeling of this place, the charm of everything from the buffalo head on the wall to the lace curtains, to meeting new people in the great room, away from your room at the Inn, where one can have some tea, eat your continental breakfast, read, or just RELAX before or after you soak or get a massage! Cannot wait to go back!
