Lava Hot Springs KOA

Lava Hot Springs is a great place to go to sit in the three wonderful warm natural springs that the town gets its name from. There’s also a public pool that is huge in great if you have kids. There is a great little Thai restaurant on the east end of town that has very good food.

Room was nice, the mattresses aren’t the best or anything, but wasn’t expecting them to be. The activities within the KOA were pretty crowded (playground, etc;). Lots of teens and adults that didn’t want to move for kids to play. We just spent more time on activities outside the KOA. Staff was super nice.

we absolutely love staying here. The KOA is clean and staff are kind.. Its a place we can travel with pets and we can leave them with out complaints from staff. We always come and stay here when we travel to Lava Hot Springs.

We love staying here. It's quiet. The staff is friendly and they keep the campground clean. Their store is always stocked and they usually have something fun going on for the campers to participate in.

We love staying at the KOA in the smaller delux cabins. Only down falls are there are connections and spots for tv but no tv and the mattresses are very low quality. Location, atmosphere, shade and scenery beats the motels by far and you dont have to listen to people partying all night.

We always enjoy our trip to Lava Hot Springs. We go annually as part of a large family, and its a longtime tradition! We’ve stayed at the KOA for many years 0 convenient, spacious campstes, and nice restrooms.

It was an amazing trip.. The cabin that we stayed in was clean and we were close to the river so that my kids were able to go and have fun and come back to the cabin or the showers that were on site to clean up.

To echo numerous other reviews..... Nice site but far to noisy with trains and trucks going all night long. Easy walk into town to the springs and store to restock the RV. Good job it was only a one night stay else I would have lost even more precious sleep. !!

Campground was clean, but was packed in very close place for travel trailer. Nice river spot but only one restroom which was a bit of a hike. Over all, a nice camp ground but I would recommend a fenced pet yard as I was traveling with two dogs, spoiled dogs that prefer off leash to go potty and the unfenced pet area was by a busy street. Last KOA we were at in Moab, Utah had an awesome fenced pet area so this was a little disappointing, but otherwise the KOA was nice, and walking distance to Lava Hot Springs.

I stayed here twice in September. The campground had a lot of open sites (it was after Labor Day weekend) and I tried out 2 different tent sites. I loved being right next to the river. The bathroom/shower facilities were spacious and sparkling clean. It was rather noisy with traffic and trains but would definitely not keep me from staying here. very thing was within walking distance. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
