After our tiring day of travelling we soaked in the private outdoor pool this place offered. After that we spent most of the night relaxing in our room's jacuzzi tub with glasses of wine. Wonderful place to stay.
Great room very clean. Great customer service. The gals are very nice and know how to treat their customer right. They treat each person as an individual not just another customer. Right in the middle of town. Easy walking access to all the fun.
the room was so nice and clean, kaysai the front desk clerk was amazingly helpful. had a massage and the therapist was super nice as well. we will definitely be returning to this place. the view is great, sat outside on the front deck and watched the moon come up and enjoyed watching the little town. very relaxing. great getaway.
We slept here for several nights while touring the area (for the eclipse). Friendly staff, good sized room with outdoor table and chairs ( this was a courtyard room, i think). The pool was great for private time.
We didn't actually stay here because the bedding in the rooms were not clean. We paid $145 for a double queen room. When we got to the room it was very small and dated but not too bad since you are across the street from the Hot Springs and they have their own private pool (we left before we actually saw the pool). I started to peel back the bedding on the first bed and noticed that the mattress cover was ripped and very worn out. There was a small spot of blood on the mattress cover and when I checked the sheets there were blood splatters on the bottom of one of the sheets. We told the lady at the front desk and she moved us to another room. When I checked the cover on the beds in the second room, there were pink/red spots on the mattress cover. It looked like it might have been make up but it definitely was not clean. At this point, we went to the front desk and asked for a refund because $145 is a lot to spend on a room that wasn't even clean. The front desk lady seemed very embarrassed and she was nice about the whole thing.
The bed in room #9 leaves something to be desired, but the experience of everything else is fabulous. We love that it's like a little apartment with a private hot pool experience. It's walking distance from everything in Lava and perfect after-the-bar stroll. Folks are super friendly and the place was clean. We'd absolutely come back for another little getaway to decompress!
We only booked this because we thought the kids would enjoy sleeping on a bunk bed. It wasn't the cleanest room and it had a funny smell. There is a door to the outside from the bathroom toward the parking and a door to the outside from the front area. There wasn't any counter space in the bathroom - just a small shelf. The only amenity was wi-fi. We had hoped to take advantage of their private hot springs pool but unfortunately it was closed. They did discount our bill because of it but it was still a disappointment.
We were in a Deck room... numbers 1-8. The room was fine but cramped. If it had been 2 of us instead of 4 it would have been okay. The bathroom has nowhere to put things and the shower is tiny. The guest only pool is small and about a block down the street. The staff was really nice and I know they wanted to help as much as they could. No breakfast but there's coffee in the office.
The location was great for an adults, but not so much a family with kids. With the Royal Hotel and the Blue Moon both having patios adjoining the property. It can get a little loud in the evenings. But since it has central air, with the windows closed it was not a problem. Loved the kitchen, lots of counter area to prepare meals. The dining/living room area was very comfortable but the number of TV channels was very limited. Normally not a problem, but since the weather was cold we were stuck inside. The pictures showed a nice gas grill out front, but what there was in reality was a charcoal grill like you would find at a campsite. Their was a nice new deck out front and two large picnic tables in the yard but the weather limited their use. The windows in the bedrooms had shades but no curtains so you get a lot of light in the morning. Overall it is a great place to stay since everything is within walking distance. There is lots of parking available next to the chalet itself and on the street next to it. All in all we enjoyed the visit, maybe next time the weather will be a little better.
The rooms are tight if you need to set up a portable crib so be aware. But they have a front and back door which was fun. Excellent location. Clean. The private hot springs were unavailable so I can't comment on that.
