I normally stay at the doubletree for a conference but it was filled. This was a great surprise. The hotel is warm and beautiful. The rooms are big and spacious and the staff is so friendly. Of all of the hotels I have stayed in Monroeville, this was my favorite!!
me and my daughter had such a great time here, my daughter and I where gonna visit GreatWolfLoge but after reviewing the outrageous cost we decide to settle a little within are budget and we could not be more happier with our decision, the room where clean, the staff where helpful and kind, the pool was relaxing, and the breakfast was great.I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a clean, family friendly, and just plan awesome hotel.
To be Completely honest, this hotel is most likely the best in Pittsburgh. From the moment we walked through the doors on a sub-zero evening, Jordan was there to greet us and was very helpful. He placed us in room 412....The Pittsburgh area code! The room was so clean and so well decorated that we felt right at home. The Room was very large and it seemed like it was brand new. The bed was great. ( The sheets were Okay... and I do think they should go with another brand that is actually soft.) The products were Paul Mitchell and that was nice to see. We did laundry there and I bought the dryer sheets and laundry soap from the front desk. Their was a Heated indoor pool! My wife worked out in the gym. ( It would be nice to have seen something for a leg workout) but still, large enough gym with free weights and machines. THE FREE HUGE BREAKFAST! Yes! I was actually surprised that it was so good and so many options! And all FREE! The Lady making the Breakfast was so nice! The lounge and lobby was quite large with many tables and lounge areas for you to hang out if you wanted to. The Fire place was roaring and a football game right next to the fireplace. They had a little snack store with snacks and drinks. The location was Perfect. Walking distance to many restaurants including Buffalo wild wings! Only 3 minutes to parkway and maybe 10 minutes to downtown. I came back at midnight through the doors and there was a man and woman working the front desk and what does the Guy say? ...."How was your night sir?"!!!!! I was like...They just don't do that ANYWHERE anymore. So very nice to see such a great Staff. Whoever choose the staffing here is awesome. Whenever we come back to Pittsburgh, we are sure to stay here....And to think we almost stayed at the Omni.... -Jesse K
Everything about our stay [Dec 2/3, 2017] was great EXCEPT the quality of sleep due to a party late at night. Check-in / check-out painless [Marriott Rewards member]; hotel was clean; room was well laid out and comfortable; room, bed and bath were all clean. Easily a 5-rating by my standards. BUT a noisy nearby party woke me about 11:30, I waited a while, called the desk, still noisy, I called the desk again and finally, after about 1½ hours, the noise subsided. Two issues: It should NOT take an hour and a half to locate and demand quiet at midnight. And during the reservation process, there was a notice that a guest would have to sign an agreement that there are to be no birthday or pool parties at the hotel!! I was never presented with that document, and apparently late night parties don't count. Plus my profile requests a high floor, quiet room, which I reminded the front desk at check-in. It was--except for 1½ hours. This hotel deserves a 5-rating, but not getting a quality sleep due to noise in nearby rooms that was not addressed properly nor quickly likewise deserves a significant downgrade. I complained at check-out and the front desk was aware of the situation; I received only an apology.
Thank goodness, I had directions to find this Residence Inn. It is quite a ways from the PA Turnpike. Nice property. Room was as we had arranged. There was no problem with our reservation. Given that we were tired, it was a welcomed place to find.
Front desk programed my key for someone else's room and I walked in on them. I asked front desk to call and apologize and take them new keys but she didn't. The rest of the week I spent wondering if someone would walk in on me and kept security bar over door.
My husband and I are traveling and needed a place in Pittsburgh but with a huge, popular NFL game happening Monroeville was as close to the city as we could get. What a pleasant surprise Monroeville is. This hotel is located close to a huge Mall and several places to eat. Located up on the hill you do not hear any of the traffic on the main road. There is an indoor pool which we did not use but was well lit and looked inviting. The staff were professional and personable when we checked in. The room was clean and neat with an organized kitchen. After a long drive it was a wonderful respite from the day.
The Residence Inn Pittsburgh Monroeville/Wilkins township was conveniently located, comfortable with a very friendly staff. The room was well appointed and comfortable. From this location you are a short drive to Pittsburgh.
This lovely hotel served as our base for visiting Pittsbutg. Spacious rooms were very nice. Day started with a nice free breakfast as well as evening socials. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of local restaurants.
This was a great place for our stay with friends. This is one of the few places I could find with two separate bedrooms and a kitchen and living space. The location is convenient to downtown access and the turnpike. There are several shopping centers nearby, including across the street and a Sheetz gas station in front. The staff was most helpful and responsive The breakfast was good and had a nice variety. The room was nice though the living space could have a bit more room and seating. We liked the full use kitchen. When we needed ice we were told that the icemaker should be used but they had ice at the desk in the meantime. Our bed was comfortable but was starting to get to the point where it will need replacing in the future. The mixer nights were a nice touch on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Overall 0we enjoyed our week there.
