Air conditioner is too old or lack of service, not cold, very hard to sleep at night. Broken safety box. We are unhappy to stay here. However, good staff, location (located near beginning of Patong Walking Street) and simple breakfast.
Booked this hotel for my first trip to Phuket. It is situated on the main road a couple of blocks from the busy Bangla Road and Jungceylon Mall. It's also a couple of blocks from Patong Beach. As it's a boutique hotel, rooms are limited to 5 per floor, of which 3 are corner rooms. Each room are cozy with an old charm and industrial theme to it. Breakfast was simple and modest, everything was DIY but good enough to start the day. As there was only 1 lift, so you may need to queue during those peak times. There was a rooftop plunging pool / jacuzzi and a lounge area. The seats/lounges need some work as they've seen better days. Amazing views of Patong, the beach and hills from on top. Everything around Patong is walking distance from the hotel. As it sits just off the main road, it could get a bit noisy at times. Make sure you close the balcony doors and toilet windows. Also, need to close the curtains should your room is next to or facing the street lights. Each room comes with a beach tote and mat, which was convenient for those trips to the beach.
No matter why or when we visit Phuket we always chose to stay at this hotel. It's a good location in Patong. The staff are friendly, the rooms are very comfortable with a great shower. The rooftop pool is great to relax in and je morning breakfast included is delicious and has much variety to chose from. Always love our stay here!
Stayed at the Album Hotel for one night before leaving for an early morning flight from HKT airport to Cambodia. I wanted my girlfriend to experience the action in Patong for one night and that's what you get when you stay at a place like this. Can't say a lot as we weren't there very long. Nothing wrong with it as long as you realize you're in a bustling location of Patong, not a quiet sleepy area. You're gonna hear late night revelers, honking horns, hoots and howlers. We hadn't planned on sleeping much anyways. The room was small, but fine for one night, wouldn't probably stay long term though or if you have a ton of luggage. Has a kind've trendy little lobby area, elevator and service was fine. They arranged a taxi for our 02:50 am flight and everything went smoothly. I can imagine for a solo traveler or couple looking to party this would be an affordable spot near all the action and close to the beach.
I was there with my friend for a week. The room was super nice - small but cozy with own toilet. The staff working was very helpful and friendly. If u don't want to spend so much money and still stay in super nice condition then the Album hotel is perfect!
Stayed in this hotel for a night and must say, it was a pleasant surprise. Most of the middle-class hotels in Phuket are just run down, but not this one. Room is stylish, modern and bright. Facing a busy road, the windows should be more sound proved. Very clean place with very kind staff. On the roof-top is a little garden and a very small pool, more a jacuzzi. It was fantastic to be there during sunset and to overlook the busy town. If you want to go to the beach, wich is very near, the room got a basket with a mat. Towels are also provided by the hotel. Breakfast is simple, but offers all you need. Downside, many noisy Chinese from mainland China. Well, it was Chinese New Year.
We booked our Simon Carabat Show through the hotel's reception. We were told to board a numbered minisbus after the show. As per tge instruction, we boarded the minibus. After 30 min drive we noticed something is not right, the driver asked us to leave the minibus and we were dropped on the roadside somewhere in Phuket town. When I called the hotel's receptionist to find out what happen, the reception said this has nothing to do with them. We were forced to hire a taxi and paid 400 baht to get back to the hotel. We waited for nearly 30min until we managed to hail a taxi at late 11pm. Very irresponsible hotel !!!!!
During my recent visit to Thailand had few friends who were first timers to Phuket. We had planned this small vacation of 10 days through our busy schedule. It was Phuket, Pattaya & Bangkok. So started hunting for a appropriate stay which should be easy on pocket, decked with amenities (most essential WIFI) close to happening location but not in loud neighborhood. As usual with a stressful hunting and shortlisting we boiled down to a property The Album Hotel, it is a boutique hotel with around 5 storey high with a swimming pool on top floor and decked up with all major detailing. Its not a grand put up but trust me you will surely like the place and its location. Few minutes walk from in-famous Bangla Street you will have loads of shops, restaurants, clothing outlets, massage joints etc. Hotel lobby is small and has modern furniture & ambiance. Reception attendant is super efficient, on your arrival you are offered with a welcome drink & cold aromatic napkin to freshen up & in the meanwhile your room allocation is ready. Has a small area assigned for breakfast which is self served. No kitchen so don't expect meals but ya one good part that juice, tea, coffee & some biscuits are on the house 24x7 for hotel guest. We were 4 of us and had booked single occupancy as the rate which we had got was not to be ignored so we opted to book single rooms for each of us. Each of us got rooms on individual floors right above each other. We had got the corner rooms of the hotel side, kindly mentioned your room view choice but as per me just mention required road facing rooms. Rooms were spacious with simple interior but very nice color combinations & placements. They have taken care of every small detailing in the room as there was an open wardrobe with 2 umbrellas, beach basket with mat, bathrobes, digital locker, room slippers, dryer, tea & coffee maker, flat TV, very good shower, aircon & most important this place has amazing WIFI with super sonic speed i have ever got in entire Thailand . Literally one can get the reception outside the hotel without any distortion. Patong Beach is just at the other end of the road with 10 minutes walk from hotel. Incase of one requiring indian restaurants then there are ample of restaurants on the way to bangla street & Jungceylon Mall. One thing is for sure that we had a lovely stay at The Album Hotel & i'm looking forward to get an opportunity to stay at this property once again during my future visits. Do try to get a best rate online though travel portals. Imp. Note: People who are travelling alone or booking room on double occupancy and plan to get a friend or guest for a night stay then keep in mind that as per this hotel's policy you will have to spare 500 THB (i.e. 1000/- INR) to get the guest in your room. This is a guest friendly hotel but only by paying the said amount. Rest this place is best for single travelers & couples. Would not recommend to family travelers as it won't have meal facility except for the breakfast.
This hotel located at Sawatdirak road just a few minute walk from hotel to Patong beach. The room was good and clean but got a bit noisy from outside from street. Breakfast was basis but okay and staff are friendly.
We're currently staying at the album and i'm very happy with everything so far. We payed around 40$ per night and everything was better than expected. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is basic but filling and yummy, the rooms are clean and the location is excellent. At night it can get a bet noisy if ur room is on the street but that's understandable considering the location. My only comment would be the low water pressure in the shower but it's no big deal. Would definitely recommend it!
