Its perfectly located either for the beach goers or if you want to explore the city. The Swissotel has all the amenities one could ask for on a relaxing vacation.

The hotel is being painted on floor 2 and smelled very strong of paint in the lobby, enough to make an adult have a headache. The rooms are becoming in need of desparate repair. The bathrooms have mildew and mold, the bathroom door is about to fall off its hinges with water damage. The power outlets were very loose. The outside patio had mildew all over as well. Also trying to book the ferry through them was an hour long process, when in the past at other hotels you just let them know and they book it to the time slot you want without you waiting on them. Its listed as a 4 star hotel, the only thing close to that 4 star rating is the breakfast area which had a good selection of food. In the mean time if they are updating and repainting look at other options this 2018 winter and try in 2019 maybe.

The hotel is in a great location and is very nice. The buffet breakfast was awesome! I would stay there again if and when I go back to Patong.

I have chosen this hotel based on a special offer on Orbitz after having seen the location on one of my previous trips. Located directly above the Hard Rock Café and Hooters with a connected Irish pub is just great. Of course you will hear some noise and music but if you chose a poolside room cannot hear it anymore. The staff was extreme friendly and helpful with anything I was asking. The first pleasant surprise was the bed. on my last trip I suffered from a real hard bed but this bed was very comfortable - I just loved it. The comments I have seen about the smell - yeah well - a little in public areas but not more than I know fro other south east Asian places. The only thing that would have been nice would have been two garden charis and a small table on the balcony. I would recommend and chose this hotel again

My husband and I had a very good experience with this hotel. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The only thing that I would want the hotel to know is that our room had a very smell and we finally realized that it was because of the curtains. The curtains in that room (527), was very old and it had so much mold that it gave us both bad allergic reaction.

Had to switch rooms due to overwhelming smell of mold in the first room. The bed and sofa were both wet and smelly. The second room also smelled of mold and there was extensive water damage in the hallways. My wife and I had breathing probleks due to the mold.

The Hotel has a great location and the room was clean when we arrived. The bad stuff: the room wasn't ready at check in time. We waited more than one hour for the room and the staff didn't offer anything (voluntarily) for the delay. The cleaning service was poor, they only made the bed and change the towels. The sand (from the beach) wasn't sweep, we use the tea maker to warm some milk and they didn't clean it, we also use the cups to drink coffee and they didn't clean it either

The location is fantastic. Only one block from the beach. The views may not be spectacular, but the service and value for the money was right on point. I would recommend staying here if you want to save some money to spend on actually doing things, rather than spending it on your hotel room.

The housekeeping team already has improved their room maintenance by changing our cleaning products supplier with a more effective method in order to avoid such incidents. The location is fantastic. Only one block from the beach. The views may not be spectacular, but the service and value for the money was right on point. I would recommend staying here if you want to save some money to spend on actually doing things, rather than spending it on your hotel room.
