Wonderful Ratana Hill Hotel , in a peaceful , tranquil setting up a mountainous hill . Superb Reception-desk staff , especially Mr. Kenny and Mr. Addy who truly care about their guests' comfort and well-being . There is a 7-11® a few minutes' walk from the property ; as well as a plethora of restaurants , vendors , services , salons , etc . A perfect place to stay , away from the hustle and bustle of Patong City Beach . Recommend .

If you want somewhere clean, don’t stay here!

The hotel is absolutely disgusting on the clenliness front, the cleaner “cleans” your room everyday and it still looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since 1982. Which is incredibly frustrating because the staff are so nice and accommodating. Especially the manager Patty, she will go out of her way to ensure you are enjoying yourself and made sure you were safe! so in that aspect she did try to make us feel at home. However the apartment was disgusting. There was mould in nearly every nook and cranny in the room, the shower STANK and was absolutely filthy. On the first night we arrived, we were shocked, so put in a special request for our apartment to be re-cleaned (we thought they missed it by mistake) they did “clean” it again and it didn’t look any different. The whole place needs to be scrubbed with a bucket of water and bleach. I don’t know if they do food but we were happy to starve in the hotel at night, than dare try anything from the kitchen. There were dead Beatles in the hotel entrance every morning which was really off putting. It’s just so dirty it’s unreal.

quiet hotel on hill not far from beach and mall

Overall the experience was good as we found the hotel pricing to be cheap which is what we needed as we werent planning to be in it much apart from some sleep. The hotel was very quiet we only seen a few people around as we thought we were maybe the only people staying here in november time. The hotel is walking distance to patong beach and shops ect approx 20-30mins. the hotel staff were always able to get you a taxi from the hotel at a set price which was fair and could get you to patong beach in approx 10mins.

After being told to revise my review of this horrible hotel for the 2nd time, I'm just gonna make this short and sweet. Don't stay there. It is the worst place I've ever stayed.

The Location of the Hotel is quiet serene but the edifice is quiet OLD. Excellent for an Economical Holiday, Good for a Holiday with Friends and a Bad choice for a Honeymoon! No Lifts available to any of the floors. Located about 3KM from Patong Beach.

Isolated from everything. I booked for three days but had to leave after one night! No refund! There is no food, no drinks, not even coffee or breakfast in the hotel, and you have to take a taxi to the nearest store about 2 km away. It is not possible to walk because of a very steep climb to and from the hotel because it is on the top of a mountain. When I ordered a taxi, the receptionist offered himself in his private car and demanded the full price of a taxi 300 baht. Stay away!

Vi hamnade på 4:e vån utan hiss. Bra rum men slitet, duschen och toan var under all kritik vilket drog ner betyget rejält. Hotellet ligger uppe på en kulle vilken ger en mysig känsla, nära till natur och jätte fin utsikt på morgonen. Nackdel är extremt mycket mygg och en pool som just nu var under renovering så man fick simma på egen risk. All personal var super trevlig förutom managern som var jätte otrevlig men han var bara där ibland. Taxi bilar hade svårt att hitta och försökte alltid få mer betalt pga backen upp till hotellet. Reser ni utan barn och inte ska spendera allt för mycket tid på hotellet så kan jag rekommendera detta hotell. Men reser man med barn som vi gjorde så skulle jag välja något annat.

Surprisingly good

Didnt expect too much as it was quite cheap. Friendly staff, clean rooms and clean pool. The only con is the location, and 9/10 taxi/tuk tuk drivers dont know where it is. So be sure to bring the card from the hotel.
