We found this hotel at the last minute and were not disappointed. Perfect for relaxing ,,and partying on NYE.. the band was awesome and so easy to get to the fab party they put on. The staff are so lovely and nothing is an issue, they are friendly and there to help, always smiling .. so if there were any extra details needed during our stay we never thought twice about asking the team. To the beach, we just walked down the stairs connecting the hotel.. poolside and along the street lots of food stalls with delicious local fare. A number of massage places we thought were great, went back a few times. Nice and easy to get around and very relaxing at the hotel with beautiful sunsets over the water. We hope to get back again soon!
Very happy to have chosen this hotel for our stay in Phuket. Only a 15 minute ride from the airport and away from Phuket’s traffic which is really bad. It takes about 1 hour to drive into downtown. The hotel’s lobby and pools are breathtaking and the beach is pristine. Rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated.
This is an Hotel I really liked. Food, position and room are great. The staff is super gentle and the view on the bay is amazing. I went in phuket with my kids and the hotel is also perfect for children.
I have written many reviews over the years, but I have delayed writing this simply because I want to do the hotel and its staff justice. We have just returned from a fortnight over Christmas and the New Year at this excellent establishment. From the Australian General Manager Brett Wilson down, the staff do everything within their power to ensure that your stay with them is as good as it possibly can be. Brett’s obvious enthusiasm is infectious and his attention to detail is amazing. I short, the five of us have had a superb holiday and want to return. Special mention MUST be made of Albert the Director of Food and Beverage who succeeds in ensuring that the hotel’s standards are of the highest order. I must also mention Roberto the Head Chef of VERO the Italian restaurant as he goes out of his way to look after his guests. We really enjoyed each and every meal we had. Breakfast is particularly good as previous reviews have stated. There is a bell push under every poolside umbrella for bar service and the offering in the poolside restaurant Azur is good, but it did get crowded while we were there as the hotel was very full. The pool attendants ensure that beds are not reserved before 10.00 am which is very fair. The main pool has a long infinity edge with spectacular views over the sea and beach. The pool itself though is in need of some TLC as many of the mosaic titles have with come off or are coming off resulting in an uneven and sometimes gritty floor. The rooms are spacious and the family rooms are well designed giving what amounts to a small additional room in the bedroom with bunk beds for two children. There is a good buggy service to give guests lifts to and fro their rooms which are built on the hillside. Also there is a free hourly shuttle service to the town. The hotel is well sited and within walking distance of the local beach, shops, bars and restaurants - there is direct access to the beach via steps albeit about 80 of them! The beach is marvellous with beautiful golden sand. In conclusion I can only say that this lovely hotel exceeded each and every one of my expectations.
Overall I would give this hotel 3.5 if I could. The hotel is about 20-30 mins to the south of the airport set on the northern slopes overlooking Nai Thon beach. It’s a good location if you’re not after too much action because Nai Thon only has a handful of restaurants. The beach is good but because we spent the week before in Khao Lak we were a little underwhelmed. The good: Everything is clean and the staff are friendly, welcoming and responsive to any need. Despite having 277 rooms you never feel like the place is overcrowded. The breakfast is awesome with everything you could imagine on offer. The pool is inviting and relaxing and there are just enough basic sun loungers with a sea view. The gym is very good for a hotel one. The room is modern and the bed super spacious with a choice of pillows. The chill out areas are well designed, luxurious and inviting. The not so good: The prices for food and drink, which are already double than those you can eat and drink for on the beach, don’t include a mandatory 10% service charge and 7% VAT. This means that many don’t bother to eat or drink at the hotel giving it a bit of a empty feeling especially at nights. Furthermore it just feels a bit soulless and inauthentic despite attempts to make it feel so, eg overpriced Thai street food and market. The signature restaurant is Italian which is a shame for Europeans like us hoping to taste some high class Asian inspired food. The loungers by the pool are bagged by people despite them not being there for long periods of time and the weak enforcement of the hotel’s policy of removing towels and belongings from vacant loungers. This breeds a feeling of entitlement for those prime positions round the main pool. The room is good but it’s finish isn’t 5 star with some sloppy painting; see photos. Would I recommend my friends to stay here?! In all honesty, no. Stay somewhere more authentic instead.
Visited Pullman Phuket Arcadia during the NY period and the experience was superb! Location was perfect as it is kinda isolated yet close to popular areas for outings, and attached to one of the best beaches of the island. The service met every expectation and the quality of the food was really high with lots of different options for adults with authentic Thai menu and Italian delicious courses for the kids or grown ups who are looking different tastes, as one really doesn't want to leave this relaxing atmosphere and positive vibes this premise has to offer. Lastly, it is worth to mention the breath take cliff views with an extraordinary sunset that allures every single guest, giving the opportunity to snap the best Instagram pictures ever! Saawadeeka Pullman Phuket Arcadia, thank you for Making us feel Welcome! :)
What a beautiful place! This 6 year old hotel is wonderfully designed, the open lobby overlooking the pool and the beach with absolutely stunning views. The breakfast is fantastic and very international, the staff is efficient and polite. The prices are what you can expect in a 5 star hotel. We had some housekeeping issues very well resolved by the very professional and lovely Ing from Reception, special thanks to her, and by the Operations manager Benoit. The Excursions agent, Fai, has been very patient and helpful to help us organizing a day trip, well done to her. The beach area is quiet and nice to walk along, exactly what we’ve been looking for. The electric cars taking you around the hilly resort are great and so are the drivers. You have to come early to get 4 sun beds by the pool but it truly worth it! The second pool by the Gym and kids Club is nice as well but the view is not as outstanding as the main one. This was heaven for us and we hope to be able to come back.
Thanks to Pullman Phuket Arcadia for making our holidays unforgettable. Thanks Albert, Moo, Sea, Yai, Prince, Ice, Nana, Chok, Fah, Nui, Look, Tick and to the rest of the team for your smile, great service and professionalism!.We are already at home but we keep in our mind a great memory from the staff and the resort. Special thanks to Albert (F&B) and to the kids club team).Best regards from Javier, Claudia, Mila and Lolo.Hope to see you soon!.
Hotel is a bit run down but set on nice landscape. The service is mostly great. However, my room is a mosquito lair. My family has to cover our faces when we sleep and put on repellent when we sleep. The toilet cubicle has an awful smell with flies appearing from somewhere constantly. There are at least 5 flies at a single instance even after we slap the flies.
Many resorts may offer great amenities and fabulous views, but what is most important in making a most memorable stay for the guests, are the people. This is one thing I can say about the Pullman Resort in Phuket. The staff at the Pullman are very professional in providing excellent service to the guests. Whatever your needs might be, someone is there to make it happen. From the reception staff, to the pool attendants, to bar staff to the restaurant servers, your needs will be met. Although everyone we encountered during our recent stay at the Pullman were extremely friendly and accommodating, one individual stood out. Her name is Nin, she is one of the servers in the Elements Restaurant (where the daily breakfast buffet is set up.) Nin was there to greet us each morning with her warm smile and was quick to provide us with our cappuccino. She even took time to chat with us and make us feel very welcome. I was traveling with my 85 and 87 year old parents and each morning Nin made sure they were taken care of, always coming to the table to check on us. In fact, since dad likes to have hot oatmeal, she made it a priority that the kitchen made up a bowl for him each morning. Nin is one of those special individuals that truly gives from the heart. She is very genuine with her actions and The Pullman is very lucky to have her in their employment, as she is a great asset to the resort!
