Such a beautiful part of the world, and such a great location, right opposite the beach, but this hotel doesn't have all the bells and whistles if that is what you're after.... however,...… we stayed for one night, arriving late from our international flight into Phuket and we were leaving by 11am the next day, so it was a great stop-over hotel, as it has clean rooms, lots of space and had everything we needed, TV, air-con, lockable doors, comfy bed, bottled water and a balcony. This hotel is sweet, and in a great location right in the middle of the town and opposite the beach... next to shops and restaurants and everything you need.... A good choice for this part of Phuket! We'd stay again!
Best hotel on naiyang beach, good view and just 15 min from phuket airport
We stayed here for 6 nights after a wonderful time in Bangkok , 3 nights, and then Naka Island , 3 nights , so we were ready for some island action and with Sangran , Thai new year , looming we knew we have to organise use ourselves , trips etc , prior to the holiday when everything shuts down !! This involves getting covered in colour and then drenched in water most of the day !! The accommodation was fabulous, rooms open onto stunning secluded. terraces with fabulous day beds and loungers , the bathroom opens up into the room so loads of space to move around , great storage and after a couple of technical hitches the air con worked beautifully . There is a bath and a shower with masses of gels , creams etc . Kettle and nexpresso machine , fridge etc The bed was really comfy and they even gave you flip flops and robes , so you felt really looked after . Service is a bit clinical and micro managed ,so no real personal touches . Mind you I did ask for an item form the Sangran and the duty manager did kindly deliver a super little cup that was used by the Monks to bless all the guests . There are 3 restaurants at the Resort , we ate mostly at Rock salt as the food was more cooked to order , fab pizzas and freshly grilled fish , delicious and the staff were more fun and chatty !! And you could wander up the beach before supper , we drank the local beer as the wine is punitively expensive! as we experienced in all our hotels and the local Phuket beer is delicious and cold ,bearing in mind it is a constant 36 c here day and night in March . The excursions we took , one a must , to the elephant sanctuary where you feed , scrub and wash the elephants which was brilliant and self gratifying , and the other was a boat trip to the Phi Phi Island , which was fabulous ! Take the whole day and you visit Maya Beach , Monkey and. Bamboo islands and have a super lunch on Ko Phi Phi . Nai Harn beach itself is a stunning beach with loads of activities and not too many people , there are good little shops , my wife and daughter as a massage , 350 Bhat Up the street and there are some local bars to wander to if you get itchy feet . The local town Rawai is a 650 bhat taxi ride away and has some good local eateries , not cheap though , we ended up at Nakitas restaurant great food and service and fab atmosphere . Nai Harn resort is in a great location for seeing all that Phuket has on offer. There is a super little back packers beach a short buggy ride down the road at Ao Pane , that the hotel buggy will take you and collect you . Excellent little beach for a snorkel and cheap snack . Oh and do use the hotel kayak for a 20 min trip for a super snorkel off the small island opposite the beach . All in all this is a great place to stay as clean and all the staff , especially the reception and concierge service guys are most helpful , just don’t stay here as Phuket has so much to offer !! Most importantly please give the ladies at the first bar; outside the hotel gate , a few hundred bhat when you leave to feed the beach dogs , they are super dogs and need looking after , thanks 👍
We have stayed at the Nai Yang Beach Resort 7 times over the past years and have enjoyed each and every stay. We always stay for a few weeks and have got to know a lot of the staff in that time. They are always very happy and very efficient. Rooms are very well set up and very clean throughout. We would never stay anywhere else and we look forward to our next visit.
We stayed at the hotel for only 1 night, in which case this may not be applicable to many. The service was sharp and well organised and the rooms themselves, although simple, were still perfect for this type of environment
I spent one night each at the beginning and end of my holiday. The first room was rather run down, with clunky air-con and a very hard bed, but the second visit in the newer rooms was much more comfortable. The hotel seems to be mostly occupied by sunburned Russians. It was not overly busy but felt like it would be noisy in high season. Breakfast was good, not great. The pools were very nice. The hotel is close to a beautiful beach and several restaurants. It is very touristy with prices to match. One tip, ensure you book transport from the airport in advance. I was charged 400 baht at the airport taxi stand, which for a 5 minute journey, is a complete rip-off. The advertised fare into Phuket, which was a lot further, is 150B. This soured my first impression of Phuket.
A great area with clean beach and sea. Great and helpful staff. Good restaurants and bars nearby. You can also find shops and pharmacies very close. Highly recommended for couples and families with kids (no night clubs close)!
I have stayed here twice over past 4 months - both times on last night of trip so as to benefit from risk free 5 minute transfer to the aerodrome. I think some of the negative reviews are rather unfair and I really like both Nai Yang and this Resort. The rooms are large and comfortable, the three swimming pools are big, attractive and uncrowded. The beach is stunning - one of the best on the island. There are several inexpensive but very good Thai and Italian restaurants right on the beach. There are several massage places and on both trips I have had the best Thai massage on the last day at Nai Yang. My only regret is having only spent one night at Nai Yang Beach Resort & Spa on both trips. It is easy to think of it as a “last night - close to the airfield” hotel but it is rather better than that. I shall plan 3 nights here on my next visit. The Resort is not 5 star and the reviews need to be written and read in that context. I normally stay at 5 (or at least 4) star and this resort is a little less sophisticated. That said I like it very much and it really well run.
We stayed in the resort for just one night, even though we booked a room for 2 nights. Unfortunately, upon our arrival it turned out that there are no rooms available and we were moved to the other hotel (Proud Phuket Hotel) for the 1st night. This was very unconvenient because the Proud Hotel was not so close to the beach (which was one of the main reasons we chose Nai Yang Beach Resort) and because we had to switch hotels in the middle of the only full day we spent on Phuket. Probably we were just unlucky (we were told that heavy rain the night before damaged our room) and hopefully the case described above is not common. The resort itself seems really good. The location is great - close to the beach, many restaurants nearby, very short drive to the airport. Rooms are spacious and convenient. If you're more lucky than us, probalby you will really enjoy the stay.
It was very convenient for us with local restaurants and massage. A nice range of swimming pools and easy to get to the beach. The beach was lovely and quiet. Rooms were clean and good value for money.
