We started our 2 week trip (with kids 2 and 3year) in Thailand there. Choosed it cose of the nice reviewes and location just 30min drive (around 400B with buss) from the airport. And did not have to disappoint! The pool is amazing (warm and private). Since it is mainly first/last stop hotel you hardly see any other tourist hangig around. All are sleeping and that gives u feeling like you are onlyone there. The restaurant food was good and choises were wide. Prices 80-350 B. Rooms are simple, clean and cosy. There were some minor hot wather problems at the shower but all in all the weather was so hot that we didn't mind that. We loved the small but lively Nai Yang beach just a 6min walk away from the hotel. There is a wide choice of restaurants, shops, bars and massage salons with all kind of price range. Defenetely must go area! It has a lovely thai feeling and the beache is not overtaken by masses. We loved it so much that we booked our last 4 days there too! Thank you L'espirit!
At 65 USD a night, this hotel is fairly good value for Phuket (not worth it if you have to pay the full price). It's located within walking distance from the beach (with a little river and small park crossing which is difficult at night). Staff is quite friendly but scarce. The room was large and quite comfortable with a balcony over the pool. The pool area is beautiful, but the main hotel wing is rather charmless. (Thai) Food was good. The gym is tiny and only has a couple of elliptical machines. Although the hotel was fully booked, it also seemed entirely empty with large tour groups coming at night and leaving in the morning.
Although the beach is visible from the rooms there is a small, but significant, river between the hotel and the sea. The hotel offers a little raft to cross however should you miss the deadline or the man not be there on your return the walk is, wait for it... an hour!! 5km rather than what would be a short, if possibly perilous, swim. I couldn't believe that without the 5 second raft journey you'd be forced to walk so far. And yes, I double checked. I even took a shortcut. Rooms are a nice size but a little tired. Food seems expensive so never tried. And when leaving it was suggested a taxi to the hotel was 400 Baht. It would be 800 from the bottom of the island some hour away. Crossing the perilous river (by raft) soon found someone who'd do the 10 minute taxi journey for 200 without bartering with a nice man who seemed to be very very pleased with the price. I liked the beach and the area. Stay a few metres down the beach and on the corr ct side of the river. :)
We had a lovely stay here. It is located close to the airport. I booked directly by e-mail with the hotel. They tried to charge for airport pick up but it was in our rate. Once I pointed this out it was fine. They were a bit slow to get back to me at times, but all turned out fine. There are no lifts at this resort, and I asked for a ground floor room for my parents in law, which they don't have. We had to upgrade to a pool side villa for a small fee which was fine. The villa was fantastic! It was very quiet at the resort as we travelled in low season (August). It didn't rain very much. We spent 2 nights here, and each morning we saw an Asian tour group getting ready to leave. We didn't hear them get in at night and they were gone as we were having breakfast. The pool side villa may be a bit noisier in high season. We had twin 5 year olds in my room. My husband and I shared a bed with 1 of the kids, and the other had a roll away bed. It was fine for 2 nights. The room was large enough for us all and there was a balcony. To get to the shops and restaurants, you need to cross a small river on a barge. This was a fun thing to do especially for the kids. The beach was deserted and pretty clean. There were a few stray dogs though. We ate dinner one night at the hotel which was fine. The staff were lovely. We couldn't hear any airport noise.
We stayed here for three nights with friends for their wedding. The 3 day wedding was amazing and it was a nice place to relax and it was away from the hustle and bustle of Nai Yang. We had a villa that accessed the pool and this was nice but very open to other guests opposite so even though we knew most people we had to keep our curtains closed to ensure we weren't baring all when changing in to our swimmers. Our rooms were cleaned well. In our bathroom there was always a small puddle of water near the toilet and it was hard to have a hot shower. The bathroom is outside so it is very noisy at night with frogs and bugs so you had to make sure to keep this door closed and I often used ear plugs. The beds here are very firm and would prove to be the hardest beds while on our holiday. Day 2 we had a massage to help the body relax. The massage was good for 800 baht which gave us one hour oil massage. The ladies live off sight so you need to make sure you book in advance. The bar staff and waitresses and waiters were very polite, however there is one lady that is on the desk that came across very grumpy and unhelpful. We went to book a massage with her but she was not interested and walked off, I went back later when a younger friendlier receptionist was only to happy to help. I then went and then we tried to book a tour on our last day but again the grumpier receptionist was on and was busy and not interested so we walked into the village instead. The tour we booked was probably the same price in the end but this one lady whom possibly lets the hotel down with her grumpy manner and doesn't appear interested in being friendly to the guests. The breakfast choices here were ok, but we did have a better selection at our previous hotel in Patong with everything fresh including fresh Juices not cordial. However the breakfast staff were always smiling and polite so this made things better. You had to get to breakfast reasonably early as they had big tour groups that often cleared out a lot of the food if you came after 930am. Would stay here again if the price was right as we did like the privacy of the location. We weren't bothered by walking through the forest but we were always in a group so this may not be the best location for a solo female traveler. The staff were exceptionally helpful to our friends who had there wedding here over three days, however I think they were charged for everything. All in all a good hotel but I'm not sure I'd say it's a 4 star hotel. I think I would stay here again if I wanted to just blob out but I think the fact we were with great friends made our stay great anyway.
We were looking forward to our stay in this hotel. We had stayed in 4 previous hotels throughout thailand and enjoyed them all. When we arrived we could instantly see that this hotel was no where near 4* rating that they have advertised. The staff were helpful and upgraded us to a pool villa. The hotel was really dirty and the pool was full of twigs and hundreds of dead bugs. In between the hotel rooms rubbish was dumped and old units/boxes and rubble was just left. While walking around the hotel there was more rubbish left in piles. The hotel was also extremely quiet. We were the only people by the pool at 2pm on a hot day, I thought that was very strange. There was a deserted forest at the back of the hotel where you had to walk through to get to the beach. You also had to cross a disgustingly dirty river where a man pulled you across in the raft. We were told to take torches through the forest after dark; I was not prepared to walk through there after dark it's was terrible. The beach by the hotel was also totally deserted. If you walked to the right quite far there were more people across the beach. There was also nothing stopping people wandering in from the forest in the night. After spending a few hours here we decided we would look to elsewhere as there were too many reasons not to stay, the main one not feeling safe. When I expressed my concerns to the hotel staff they said they would clean my room and clean the pool but you shouldn't have to ask for this to be cleaned in a 4* hotel! Now we are paying for 2 hotels for the same 3 nights.
I've stayed there for 2 nights and it was my best holiday ever! Special thanks for restaurant team that made my stay memorable. They were kind and smile all the time. About the room, quit old but all facilities still in good condition . Just 1 thing that they have set up honeymoon for me! I was travel alone. But it's fine. hahaha
This hotel has been a bit between average and very good but average felt slightly harsh. The hotel is very open and quite pretty. The grounds firstly are small but well kept. The big huge pool is great fun, however, pretty dirty and also the sunbed area is still part of the pool so it is all slightly submerged in water - personally not to my taste as I was worried I'd drop my phone in it or other stuff. The pool access rooms looked nice but we were in a deluxe room based in the main building. Our room was very nice with a few minor issues - the tap in the bathroom broken, few cracks in ceiling and the floor was broken. Also, we found the air conditioning unit much too loud and it kept us up every night. The breakfast in the hotel was pretty good, nice choice but could have been more fruit and there was no cereal which I found slightly odd. If you want to get to the beach you have to cross this pontoon thing where a man from the hotel pulls you across it. This closes at 9pm. This seemed a bit odd in a supposed 4 star hotel- why couldn't they build a bridge? It also seems slightly dangerous and I wouldn't like to know what kind of creatures live in the river below it...the beach itself is pretty manky and the places around Naiyang in general are not that nice. The staff are really lovely and helpful - I really felt well taken care of! All in all a good stay for me and my partner but we probably wouldn't stay again.
Brilliant place to stay to end an amazing trip! Staff lovely and really helpful a very kind lady came to my rescue when there was an 8 legged friend joining me, food really yummy and good price, pool clean and abit of luxury and my room was spotless with a comfy bed! Real close to the airport but you CAN'T hear the planes! Definetly recommened this hotel and if im ever in the area again would come back : )
This resort is small and very personal. Its very close to the airport, but thats not an issue. The rooms were beautiful and opened onto a timber deck and into the pool. So pretty. The bathroom was open air which I loved, but when it rained the rain came through the open windows and covered the sink area. The staff were fantastic and we had dinner and breakfast here and were very happy with our meals.
