No WiFi which worked in our room, poor cleaning of the room and room was bot cleaned after 3 pm, staff spoke poor English so we got wrong order from the room service and different answers for the same question, TV channels of very poor quality, etc. Good things were that room was big and quiet. Shower had a good water pressure. Breakfast was basic but OK, hotel staff very friendly. In other words, you get what you pay for!
All was good Nice breakfast. But we had a problem with climate system. And staff need 3 days to fix it - too long. Also there was a poor WiFi in our room. But I’m lobby it was ok. Not very comfortable
6 of us stayed here for 4 nights . rooms were perfect .. bed was comfy , rooms were big .. nice bathrooms , water pressure in showers were great , nice balcony ... lots of plug ins in room as well .. hotel had a nice pool as well . Breakfast service was great .. huge selection as well as a guy making eggs to order . No complaints what so ever about this place ! Location was a block off the Main Street of Patong ... and a short walk to the beach ;the hotel is on a side street with a cuple restaurants beside it , along with a cuple small bars , laundry , hair salon ,atm.
Excellent place to stay, very clean and maintained, I was there with my family , good location right near market , 5min walking distance to Bangla Road and Patong Beach, all restaurants and food joints are right on the road,
Nice location with friendly staff, some room are outdated but the staff compensate for that .-) Very nice hotel manager that sorted out every request we had. The only downside , the pool area. It's mostly in the shadow all day. we will return.
We spent there for about 2weeks enjoying every day! Well done htl with non obsessive design. Comfortable rooms. The A/C is so powerful even if makes low. The staff is friendly, professional, polite. And charming smiles!!!! Additional thanks to the staff of the breakfast restaurant. Service at the highest level. All the dishes were tasty and delicious! The only pity is the full absence of the shortest way to the beach (if to turn right from the entrance).
We booked this hotel as a mystery hotel, but were able to guess that it was Poppa Palace as the descriptions matched. We got the room at a good discount. We booked a deluxe studio poolside. We arrived mid-morning due to the arrival time of our flight. We were asked to wait about an hour, which we did without complaint, while they made up our room. When we went into the room it was a standard double with a view over the roof of a building next door. We complained that it wasn’t the room we booked, certainly not a poolside room. The staff were extremely rude and tried to fob us off that that was the only room available. We had booked months before. Staff spoke very little English and it was not until after some forceful argument that they asked us to wait a few more hours until they could put us into a suitable room. All this fuss was completely unnecessary as we were totally aware of the check in time and were prepared to leave our bags in their safe keeping until the room we booked was ready for occupation. The staff were talking very loudly to each other in Thai and we could tell they were talking disrespectfully about us by their gestures and looking daggers at us at various points in the conversation. We never got a poolside room. Two rooms later, we ended up in one on an upper floor overlooking the free form pool. Disappointing. All further conversations with the staff at reception was curt and unfriendly, even those who were not on the shift when we checked in. I would not recommend this hotel as these staff members truly need some further training in customer service. We just wanted the room we booked. Our double studio room was quite nicely decorated and had a balcony. Sheets and towels clean and fresh, but the room was not very clean. The floor had not been mopped and was covered in dust and grit for the duration of our stay. There was no hot water in the shower, just luke warm at best and not enough pressure to rinse out the shampoo in my hair. Housekeeping was poorly lacking. Tea and coffee and water was not filled daily unless we sought her out to ask specifically for them to be replenished. Some days she didn’t even bother with the room at all, despite us putting the ‘make up the room’ sign and she had disappeared by late afternoon so that when we returned we couldn’t get the room cleaned. This lady clearly needed some retraining. The rooms were noisy with doors constantly slamming at all hours and you could hear and understand conversations taking place in the corridors. The poolside furniture was mouldy and dirty. Fallen leaves everywhere which were only swept once during our stay. Barman disappeared into his little room as soon as we approached for pool towels or a drink. Didn’t want to serve us. On the positive side, we had fantastic service in the restaurant at breakfast. The staff there were very efficient at their job and very friendly. They were able to remember particular preferences for coffee and eggs and refilled and refreshed the food choices in the buffet in a timely fashion. Tables were cleared and reset quickly. We ate our breakfast at different times each day depending on what we were doing that day. The food was always precooked before service so everything that should have been hot was already cold when it was refilled. The choices available were tasty though. So congratulations to the staff members in the restaurant and it is because of them I give three stars, not less. It is a shame that such an attractive hotel could be so badly let down by the poor attitude of the majority of its staff.
First of all the staff is extremely friendly. They always smiling and asking how everything is. The hotel room was very comfortable and quite, the space in the room is also big enough for 6 days of stay. Breakfast was everyday the same but everything you need for a breakfast you had. You can get here daily fresh beach/pool towels which you can bring back in the evening and pick up a new one in the morning. The location is also very good, across the street there is a very good Thai restaurant. My special thanks for the lady at the reception which we had a long talk on my last day, I will definitely come back to this hotel again.
+ Room was a good size. Comfortable bed. Good Shower. Good cleaning maid. Good bellboys. - Pool area, chairs and sunbeds were that dirty that i never used them. When i complained to reception they said i should complain to the pool staff but never any pool staff around. - WiFi was very bad, even in reception area.
Overall good location. Staff very friendly esp Tu. Nearby with eatery places and all within walking distance to tourist areas. Quiet hotel environment n pretty decent. Will definitely return n recommend friends to this hotel.
