Far enough away from the nightlife to be quiet but still close enough to walk every where. The staff keep the rooms and grounds very clean .. the koi ponds and elephant statues arounds the grounds are great and the pool is amazing. Ill absolutely be staying here again !!
It's budget so don't complain if it's not luxury! It was very comfortable, clean and a decent size. I had a walk in shower which was good for me. Staff very friendly and helpful, room cleaned well every day. Breakfast was adequate, eggs cooked to order etc, not 5* but hey it was ok for a budget place. Couple of nice small pools. I have seen that people have complained about the pool chairs. Yes they're a bit old and worn, but please! Get over it! Stick a towel over it or go down the beach!
Poppa Palace is a great hotel in a quiet location but only a short walk to the hustle and bustle of Bangla Rd. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this establishment.
Away from all the noises of bangla and patong beach this hotel has the best hospitality in town... They are always more then welcoming... Loved it.. At first we thought that they wont be able to provide the best in practice services but the rooms were very clean and all the staff was very goood nd cheerful
One of the older hotels in Patong beach but does not have the same attraction any more. At similar prices much better hotels can be found. The bhotel has no direct access to the beach although same mentioned in several channels. The bathroom basins- some of them- are badly designed and water falls all over the place. Wi Fi is pathetic and one had to change rooms twice with great difficulty to get a decent signal. Break fast is wholesome but not exotic or exceptional. The staff by and large cooperative.
Great position of the hotel. Near Bangla road if you wanna party but far enough if you would like quiet. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are very big whit big bathroom and balcony. Breakfast is good with a solid choice of food.
I stayed here for a week with 2 different rooms One was bigger but both were nice room and really comfortable bed Only the bathrooms looked a bit old but the rooms were really nice I like the male staffs here especially the guy who always helped me to unlock my safer because i didnt know how to use it and he let me take his helmet when i needed ! Really good location tho even it is inside a big alley Easy to work to bangla street n many restaurants around I didnt have breakfast here bc i always woke up late so i couldnt say anything lol I rarelt write reviews but this hotel worths my money!
This was my first trip to Phuket and to Patong Beach. I arrived earlier than the check in time so my room wasn't ready yet but the staff looked after me. They gave me a drink and I was able to change into more relaxed clothing. When I was able to check in, I was taken up and shown the room and how everything worked. My room was great. It was big with a nice bed, safe, fridge, shower/bathroom, TV and awesome aircon. I had a balcony and a nice view. The hotel is located in a tucked away area of the main road which meant we had some peace and quiet. However it was close to everything so you could walk everywhere. I didn't have breakfast there as there were a couple of restaurants directly opposite and on the side of the hotel that I wanted to try. Also along the street leading to the hotel were bars, drycleaners, massage places and restaurants. I enjoyed my stay there and will stay there again when I visit Patong.
Location of Poppa Palace is the biggest plus, along with clean rooms and quiet location Easy walking distance to Bangla Rd, beach, Jungceylon etc Staff are not unfriendly, but definitely not friendly and welcoming as most I have come across during numerous travels to Thailand ( housekeeper / maid is an exception to this as she was very friendly and helpful ) Breakfast is stock standard - not a great deal of variety for the westerner, but acceptable All in all, I would stay here again as is value for money Pool area could do with a freshen up and some new furniture, but the pools themselves are very good - clean, good temperature
Overall, a good stopover place in Patong. Stayed 4 nights, reasonable price, helpful, friendly staff, basic breakfast, very firm beds, nice pillows, good tour desk. Hotel itself is a little old looking and jaded. Massage, shops and restaurants really close by and Bangla road and Jung Ceylon only a few minutes walk away.
