The hotel is in the heart of Patong Beach. Lots of activity outside the hotel. The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great. Our room was fine, it was a little tired. It could have used some love. The walls were pretty thin, you could hear a in the room next door.
Warm welcome from reception staff member Fhai. We arrived early for check in, she was attentive to our long journey and got us into a new room with 10-15mins of arrival. Location is great. We had the garden room which was good. Such tropical atmosphere once your inside the resort. Bathroom bit outdated but manageable. Buffet breakfast is average although head chef does make great poached eggs. Highlight is the reception staff- Fhai,Jeny and Maureen; they girls entertained and assist our every need.
Check in: We were greeted with a cool fruit juice and a cold towel The staff were really very helpful. The pool: The Pool is good for a dip it's clean and cool, also has great views of the beach. Really nice sea breeze across the pool area. Gym: I didn't use the Gym so I cannot comment. The Room: Our room (313) is spacious, comfortable and clean, it's also quite no traffic noise that's a plus. Bed is comfy. The bathroom: Is dated with a step over dwarf wall into slippery plastic bath for a shower. There is a safety handrail, But Why put a handrail to enter an unsafe area? Just provide a walk in shower. This space is tiresome but ok for couple of days. The Wifi: is ok. Air conditioner: it needs replacing. Breakfast: Pretty ordinary selection, but the chef does great omelettes. The coffee is terrible, "American fresh brewed" l don't think cowboys would drink this coffee. There is a "Coffee Club" restaurant almost directly opposite. Overall; This is a worn out hotel in a great location. It needs a total refurbishment but I would keep the staff they are great. Hope this helps.
By all the services, room, clean, restaurant services and staff help, and mainly by its location, literally over the beach and near all kind of commerce, for me this hotel has the highest score in Phuket.
It was so nice hotel. The view was beautiful. The room is so clean. The breakfast is so delicious. And the location was so convenience. We had a so much wonderful stay. Everyone should stay at this hotel.
Best Experience with family had good time. Sheaf Mr. George is very very friendly natured and prepare ur food as per ur taste. Location of the resort is the best right front of the patong beach and middle of the market
We have returned to the Impiana Resort again. It's been 18 months since our last visit; and prior to this we have returned yearly for nearly a decade. Why the same resort?? The Impiana Resort is the only resort literally on the beach. It's centrally located on Patong Beach and access to restaurants, shops and the like are only a short walk or a tuk-tuk away. All levels of staff are extremely professional and accommodating; and welcoming with their beautiful Thai smiles. Nothing is too much. They all deserve the employee award! Especially the beverage staff by the pool and the gardeners, who do a fantastic job at keeping the gardens beautiful. It is an amazing feeling when you return to Impiana, and are greeted with 'welcome home'. Located on the beach, you have the option of a dip in the seaside pool, or a paddle in the ocean plus there are lots of Watersport options. Safety standards for the water sports have definitely increased over the years as all equipment appears new and in very good condition; in comparison to the previous old beaten up equipment and threaded ropes. The Impiana Resort is a great location for singles, couples and families with little ones. There is also ramp access throughout the majority of the resort. Thank you Impiana team for another fantastic and relaxing break.
I've stayed at the Impiana 3 times over the last 10 years and fair to say that while the location is great, over this time standards have slipped A couple of examples. The day after we arrived, I asked for a room upgrade and was told that they were fully booked but I would be told if something came up - a couple days later I overheard another guest asking the same question and which an upgraded room was found for them. When o asked about this, the person didn't know anything about it. Another example, and reason for the above example is the rooms are getting dated and not what it once was Last example was when we were departing I had confirmed the day before that we would be needing a car. This was already arranged and paid for when I made the reservation. However, when checking out the guy who was doing the administration asked me if I wanted a car and silly me said no because I had already confirmed one the day before. Now, usually the drivers in Phuket are pretty punctual, so after 10 minutes my wife actively encouraged me to find out where our car was. It was then I found out that according to Impiana I had not paid for a car..... this came as rather a surprise as at no time when I confirmed the car the day before there was any discussion about paying for this. After a 'discussion' with staff they were more interested in confirming that the car had indeed been paid for rather than finding a solution e.g. a car, The staffs attitude was definitely not what I would expect from a so-called 4 star hotel and left a lot to be desired. After they confirmed that I did indeed already pay for the car - there was no apology....
Fantastic location, accessible to hussle and bustle and completely quiet and peaceful in resort. Best of both worlds. Beach was dirty and unswimable. Visit kara Noi and Kata and karon also. Karon being the cleanest and safest. However still dangerous conditions rip wise, as beaches go. For July. I imagine peak season the beaches are calmer, without the monsoonal conditions. However the 13 nights on Thailands coast we had sun everyday. Rain at night, sometimes wind. For the specials and the prices, it was worth every second. We also experienced private pool villas, being off season and so affordable so beach conditions were not an issue. There are some fantastic private pool villas out there!!!!. Didn't go north so cannot comment on beaches that direction. Just love Thailand and its culture and people. Impiana would be my first choice again in Patong.
Bring your minors helmet for reading in the room. It's a great hotel and not many others in Patong could compare. Noise from Murphy Bar lasts till midnight, so bring your earplugs. Murphys is down the road, but everyone can hear it at one end of the bungalows.
