The place was filthy the aircon takes a whole hour to get cold enough so you can rest peacefully and even then you can’t control the room temp on your own accord. Mould on the ceiling mould on the bed frame and the mattress was as solid as a rock. I booked for 4 nights stayed one night then bailed with no refund that’s how bad it was. Staff are not to blame the owner is wouldn’t recommended to anyone

If you’re planning to enjoy a vibrant party scene throughout the day and night and just need a cozy room to rest and freshen up, this hotel could be a great fit for you. Just note that it’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the beach activities, so renting a moped would be a convenient option to easily explore the area.

Good location, not far from main activities as well as shopping malls. Very friendly staff. Nice little refreshing pool. Great Breakfast! But internet was problematic, getting disconnected every 6-7 minutes.

You get what you pay for. Good location. Many restaurants and convinient stores around. The toilet will get wet when you have a shower, have to move toilet paper. Very low pressures with the shower head - feels like it's just dribbling. Bed is a bit too firm. Staff are helpful

Booked on a whim just before heading off for what was to be a recharge 10 days away, at first I was what have I done, then I remembered, for me it was relatively cheap at 800 Thai Bhat per night. You really do get more than what you pay for, staff are great, 24/7 front desk, convenient scooter hire, you are at least 15 min walk to the beach, walking is healthy and by walking you get to see so much more of Phuket. So park your expectations, lower your budget, stay in the back streets of Pa Tong and I guarantee you will see and do things you would never have done should you have booked in a $100+ per night resort. Travelling is about experiencing local culture and people, at Forty Winks you can't not do this. I will be back. Also I highly recommend eating at the fresh food markets each night down the street, you cannot go wrong here, if you're worried about getting an upset stomach just be sensible in your choices, ask them to cook it well. It's the freshest padthai I have ever had and for only 80BHT what can you say but "I'll have another thanks". (my only real complaint would be the bed was very firm.. .but that's just for sleeping anyway)
