Room is comfortable with decent size. I happened to got several insect bites. This place a stink a bit like sewage, but a lot of places in city smell a bit. The location is convenient and it was good value for money. However, after check out and return home, they still have not refund my credit card deposit. Laundry services was good and cheap, but shuttle services to airport seem expensive.
Everything was fine, except the loud music in the mornings, what is coming from the garden breakfast area. The room was nice and clean, but water coming frim the AC. The pool big enough and nice.
Blue Ocean Resort was a disappointing experience for me and for my friends. The room smelled terribly as the hotel is just by a stinking river. Breakfast was terrible with very limited choices and breakfast area had no air conditioning. Most TV channels were not clear. This was the worst hotel I stayed during my 10 day Asia trip.
it was very nice hotel i love it everything is ok there rooms, stuff , and everything next time i will be there
The hotel at first was ok. the rooms were good but it overlooks a sewage canal. Breakfast is served outside so the smell of raw sewage and garbage ruins the breakfast. On check out, they would not let us leave because there was a discrepancy over the minibar (220baht, about 6USD). They do not take credit cards to insure expenses so we left the money for the minibar in the room to compensate. Instead, they lock you in at the front desk with several male guards until you've paid. (no joke). Long story short, because we left the money for the minibar in the room (the cleaning staff had it and later gave it over to the hotel so we could leave after an hour of this nonsense), we missed our flight to Chiang Mai (a value of about 250USD). We plan on filing complaints with American Express in order to recoup the loss. Anyway - and independent of the hotel - DON'T GO TO PATONG BEACH unless you're under 25 or trying to relive the experience of being under 25. Go to Kata Noi (15 minutes past Patong) and spend the extra 50USD/night.
The location is excellent, just 500 meters far from the heart of nightlife and 200 from the beach. The rooms are spacious, very modern and trendy with large balcony. Good pool and pool bar and OK breakfast. Absolutely recommended.
