Great resort! The only problem was that they had not cleaned the chimney that was in our room for some time...which we used the fire place several times and I ended up getting very sick from smoke inhalation, which was a little scary!!

We had a great time here, this still was the most relaxing getaway trips we have taken. The staff were very attentive to us. Our flight arrived late, and then we made it to the resort after getting our rental car. Once we arrived at the Santuary we were greeted by staff while still in the car and they acknowledge knowing us by name. First class service!!!

Incredible hotel in a beautiful area. The valets are the friendliest I have ever encountered.

The attentiveness to detail and service in this facility is second to none! The staff are so accommodating, helpful and extremely friendly. This is one of my wife and my favorite places to stay anywhere!! Have been many times and travel to Phoenix just to stay at this resort and spa!! Highly recommended!!

Loved this resort. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The rooms are beautiful. The staff is so professional yet friendly. The grounds are immaculate. I only wished I could have saved longer. I guarantee I WILL be back. I have stayed at several resorts in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson and would rank the Camelback Sanctuary heads and tails over the others. The ONLY issue I had with the hotel was parking was difficult. I stayed on a weekend and it seemed like there were a lot of people at the hotel for the night time entertainment. I'm not sure if this problem always exists. I will say the staff were helpful in finding parking for me.

This was a a really nice place to stay. The room was beautiful. We attempted to contact the hotel via email to make a request in advance, but we never received a response.

Arrived early (12:30 PM) and was able to check-in so we were off to a good start. Our room had an awesome view of the mountains and the bed was extremely comfortable. The pool is small but nice and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The workout room is also small but adequate. At night the bar is lively and has entertainment so you can have a great time without ever leaving the resort. This is a resort definitely more suitable for couples.

This was a truly amazing hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. From water to helping me with my stuck car key, they demonstrated tremendous hospitality. The location is wonderful, as the trail head for Camelback Mountain is about 1 mile away. The only thing I would say is that they need a few more menu options. The restaurant, Elements, was just okay and a little overpriced. However, there are plenty of options close by. The Spa is INCREDIBLE. I had a massage and facial and both were excellent. The facilities were beautiful and they also offer a meditation garden.

I was recently there with some girlfriends for a spa weekend away from the winter in Minnesota. Sanctuary was wonderful, the spa, pool, food, and service were all top-notch. I especially loved the grounds and picture-perfect surrounding scenery - waking up to mountain views and walking down beautifully landscaped paths every morning was a treat! The spa was outstanding - great facilities, though a bit on the cozy side since it was high season and quite busy. That said, I still felt very taken care of, excellent service, the 3 treatments I got were all some of the best I've had - and I do go regularly to a spa at home and whenever I travel at a resort. The food at the onsite restaurant Elements and the Jade Bar, the pool, and even room service, were all great. Loved that the food was so fresh and healthful but not "health food" -- still lots of rich, indulgent food if you were in the mood. Only downside, the cost is high during peak season and the mountain view casitas are only so-so. They're large, but our bathroom had just 1 sink and a glass shower stall so you couldn't wash your face if your friend was in the shower and wanted any kind of privacy. The beds and linens were nice and comfy, but the bath towels were worn and not soft at all -- they were Frette, but seemed overly stiff. I think the spa casitas are newer and supposed to be nicer, though I never saw one and they are also even more expensive. These are minor nit-picks though, because overall the stay was near-perfect. The resort even let us check-in early and check-out late - they were very accommodating! Can't say enough how relaxing the Sanctuary was, and I hope to return, maybe next winter!

I met some girlfriends at the Sanctuary for a spa getaway and it was exactly what we wanted. The room was crisp, white and clean with all the amenities. The views and weather were unbelievable. The food and drinks were awesome and the spa was a dream. My only complaint: We wanted to hike camelback mountain one morning but they couldn't offer a map of how to get to the trail head. It's a 1.5 mile walk from the resort to the trail head and they gave us some vague directions. By the time we found it we had been wandering around in the heat so long we decided we had better head back. It would be perfect if they could offer a shuttle to the trail head.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in early October. We had gorgeous weather and the resort wasn't packed because we were a bit off-season. The staff were all super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We felt secluded but close to everything! The spa was amazing - we had 2 different treatments, a massage 101 for couples and a detoxifying wrap. I highly recommend both! We're hoping to return for many anniversaries!!

Very clean upscale home like with excellent service

This was our first visit to Sanctuary. What a nice, relaxing place! It was only my wife and me, and it's not really designed for kids. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the decor was amazing.

Very relaxing and peaceful place, except for the food and bar prices. $24 for two regular size vodkas on the rocks is a bit much!! Breakfast of 2 coffees, 2 orders of french toast and bacon over $50. The view is wonderful an the birds and rabbits the roam the grounds are a joy to watch. The floor in the room was always very warm so the air never shut off. It never cooled off in the room.

Staff was excellent at this report. They are very friendly and attentive to your needs. I would definitely consider another visit in the future.

Wonderful candle lit rooms, beautiful views and warm friendly staff!

The restaurant "Elements" is wonderful. The wine, food, and service were highly inspired--including breakfast--that was also a real culinary treat. We were here in July--one of the hottest months in Phoenix--and so-- here's why this hotel is NOT a good choice for this time of year: The beauty of our "suite apartment" was dazzling--we immediately felt excited entering the gorgeous mini-apartment--great view of the desert landscape and super chic decor. HOWEVER: the room was not set up well for sleeping in the heart of summer temperatures. The AC vent was aimed right at the head of the bed, so not only was your face blasted all night with a gale of biting wind, but the unit was loud and would turn off and on throughout the night, as it was set to maintain your specified temp. Not a good room design for sleep comfort--ALSO--they only provided a thick down comforter, not thoughtful for this time of year, so we spent the entire night pulling it on and off--hot/cold--hot/cold, not fun. This set up would be fine in the gorgeous winter months, as you may not even need AC at all. But during Phoenix summers, the room design was not well thought out for the over heated traveler. We woke up every morning with headaches from this poor sleep situation. Also, they had to relocate us the 1st night to their sister property "Valley HO" due to rain leaks from a storm. Somehow, in spite of being "fun to look at" in a topical way, the suites seemed almost like afterthoughts to the spectacular restaurant, or really just meant for the winter months.

Wonderful getaway weekend! Very quiet, peaceful resort. Friendly, helpful waitstaff & concierge. Enjoyed Elements restaurant and bar atmosphere was great.. Workout facility was very clean---poolside waiters were very attentive. Definitely going back!

Our lasting impression of this resort is one of service. From the valet parking attendants to the reception desk to the bar and restaurant staff, the people here are top notch. They know you by name from the moment you check in. The food is also excellent - the chef is an Iron Chef finalist. It was a little cool to swim, but we did sit by the pool. We spent most of our time in and around Scottsdale and found the location very convenient. Only complaints - our toilet had some issues (even though maintenance checked it, they couldn't find a problem), and the path lighting at night could be better since you have to walk on a steep slope. Would highly recommend however and would stay again in the future.

First, the hotel could have not been located anymore conveniently to SkyHarbor Airport- perfect! Situated in a very upscale neighborhood in Paradise Valley we felt like we were home and not in some typical resort or hotel, the setting is beyond words with Camelback as your backdrop. The staff were so well trained on attending to all of our needs and making sure we were satisfied with every request we made. The guest accomodations were impresssive and tastefully appointed. Every inch of our casita was utilized during our stay paticularly the wrap-around deck overlooking Camelback and the praying monk. Will be returning real soon. GREAT Resort!
