Renaissance Phoenix Downtown

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The hotel is very close to the Talking Stick Arena, the ballpark, the light rail and the Phoenix Symphony. Just need to have Sunday breakfast available since there are no morning breakfast places downtown, a Food Island.

The Renaissance was centrally located and within walking distance to great shopping and wonderful restaurants and very close in proximity to Scottsdale and a local casino. The hotel itself has a wonderful little restaurant for breakfast/brunch food and another great restaurant for great specialty cocktails, craft beers and great food.

Love this hotel. Close to everything in the downtown area. I have stayed here multiple times and absolutely love it. Never have I had any problems. I recommend it highly.

The staff was very friendly at the Renaissance in Phoenix. They greeted me with a bottle of water and gave me a map of the downtown area, offering any advice for the area. The bar on the first floor has cool décor. The valet was helpful to me in getting a taxi easily. I would stay here again on my next trip to Phoenix.

This hotel was perfect and is located downtown by the arena and baseball field. However booking with orb was less than satisfactory. When I booked my room I chose the location by the football field in Glendale. But when I arrived they told me it was at the downtown location and were booked already! Orb let me down!

The location was great and the bar in the lobby was just what we were looking for

A very nice Downtown hotel. Walking distance to the US Airways Center and Chase Field. Hotel staff is very helpful and professional. Clean room. I will stay there next time we visit Phoenix.

The hotel was fine and the staff was very nice. The location is the key positive thing though as it is walking distance to convention center and the arena.

The Hotel was very nice. We did have some challenges in making sure that we had actual reservations and finally someone at the hotel helped us out. Really liked the location to the conference center. elevators had some issues. I never did find a business area with computers.

I have never been in a hotel room with so many stains on the floors and walls. There were huge spots on the carpet, parts of wall paper were peeling, and there were even holes in the wall. They clearly put all their effort into making a nice lobby and posting only pictures of what's been updated.....which was obviously not my room.

Very nice, clean environment. Staff was very helpful. I forgot my phone charger at home and they had a box to look through for one that would fit my phone.

This hotel is centrally located in downtown Phoenix, very close to the light rail, with a helpful and friendly staff.

right in the center of phoenix, one can walk to museums and rail transit. It is difficult to find restaurants that are open in the evening.

Hotel has been re-modeled and looks really good. The rooms are nice, but the walls a very thin and hear the next door neighbors. There are extra charges that add up if you are not careful. Park a car is $26.00 per night and they charge extra for wi-fi. The location is perfect for walking and is a safe area. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful with info. Would stay again!!

First - the Wyndham has been purchased and is now a Renaissance, which made finding my hotel very confusing. Second - I would give this place 4 stars, except the walls are so thin you can hear everything said at a normal speaking volume in the neighboring rooms. I woke up at 2am thinking there was a person in my room, but it was just the next room having a conversation.

Rooms are comfortable without being extravagant. Food was good in the hotel, and there is a very nice casual restaurant (Hanny's) across the street. Easy access to the airport and to the downtown (such as it is) of Phoenix, as well as the Phoenix Art museum, the Heard museum, and state and federal courts.

The hotel is very nice and room was clean. Would have been nice to have a small refrigerator and a microwave oven in the room. The only part I disliked about this hotel was the valet parking that cost me over 26.00 a day which wasnt disclosed to me until after I arrived and received the valet ticket. I was there for 5 nights which cost me over 150.00 for my stay. Also some hotels i stay in have free internet in room, that would have been a plus! I will definately check out other hotels on my return to phoenix!

Very nice hotel building and very convenient to the event we had tickets to at concert center..the big surprise was that the name of the hotel had changed from the time I booked the rooms to the time we arrived...it is now another brand of hotel...they were very accomodating to our party of 4 who had booked two rooms for the event...only one reservation showed up on their screen..probably because of the hotel turnover..but they were accomodating enough to honor the reservation and get us the two rooms..Thanks...to the clerk...We totally appreciated it..

The Wyndham Phoenix is a lovely hotel conveniently located a short walk from the convention center. Mt only complaint about the room is that there wasn't a refrigerator.

Starting with Jacob who checked me in, ALL interactions with staff were great. Even passing the bell desk the staff were extremely friendly.
