Booked a suite. When we arrived, our room was jammed with another bed from another room. When asked, the staff stated they were renovating other rooms and had put that furniture in our room. No notice, no compensation.
We had difficulty checking in but once they found our reservation it went quickly.
It was so expensive I thought the service will be better no breakfast included, they have I think only one resturant, the guy who did the check in for us didn’t give us a lot of info we went to the elevator we didn’t know that it needs our key card to select the floor, it kept going up and down for couple minutes, the hotel is clean but for 300$ a night I expected more

The toilet did not work in our suite. We paid too much to not have a bathroom we could really use.
Hotel is pet friendly and staff was accommodating when we had to leave our yorkie in the room for a few hours.
Honestly you can find a better hotel else where at a lower price. At the Renaissance Downtown Phoenix hotel the room had the toilet paper holder hanging from two screws on the wall, pink and black mold in shower area, bathroom door needs to be shaved so that it can actually close all the way (door between toilet and sink area) plus same door had the aluminum door handle falling off that I popped back on myself, old cigarette in window seal when we opened the window, carpet frayed and sofa most near the window is torn held up by what looked like a Velcro patch? I did mention my concerns to the lady when I requested extra towels (I mean room has two queen beds but only two towel sets for a room that can sleep four) but there were three of us and didn’t want staff entering the room during COVID times but these issues should have been discovered prior to releasing the room to be occupied. Overall not what is expected from a Renaissance hotel. As well, parking elevator at this hotel is dirty (dingy) and disgusting. No pool towels were available. Perhaps management should go stay at the Hyatt Tempe Mission Palms Hotel that I stayed at earlier that week. At Mission Palms management was clearly visible and rooms were excellent and hotel was well staffed and approachable. Perhaps instead of investing in what looks like a premium lobby invest the money in rooms where people actually sleep.
