I realize it may be a bit of a VRBO cliche, but Mel and Jason's home is truly a home away from home. I've been booking VRBO for nearly a decade now, and my family and I have not stayed in a homier spot. The beds were super comfy, the entire place is decorated with the utmost care and attention to detail, and I would challenge anyone to find a more well stocked kitchen on VRBO than Mel and Jason's. We stayed in mid December so we did not take advantage of the pool because the weather did not permit. Next time . . . The home is located 16 minutes from Usery Mountain, the view from which is breath taking. There is lots to do and eat very close by; within 5 or 10 minutes. Sittting here now, I can't think of the inevitable negative. I suppose one could say there was no magician or chauffeur, but then again they didn't advertise them, so . . . Finally, I would recommend this home to my closest family and friends and would stay here again without hesitation. Thank you Mel and Jason for offering such a lovely home.

Great home in great location!

We had a wonderful stay. The beds were extremely comfortable. Nicely decorated throughout entire home. The place was fully stocked with everything we needed and more! The backyard was amazing. The communication with the hosts was great. The location was great with many amenities nearby. We would and will be staying here again! Highly recommend!

Great Stay

I would almost everything was perfect. My only complaint is the bedroom with 2 small beds. I think they were really meant for children and I had 2 adult kids with me so my son was not comfortable in the bed that seemed smaller than a twin.

Nice place

Easy to find and park. Convenient to places in Mesa, Gilbert and Scottsdale. Good area for morning walks. Enjoyed the puzzles and games, use of kitchen and washer/dryer. Pool was too cold to use yet, but that was expected.

Safe, Comfortable and Relaxing Getaway

Lovely home with all the luxuries of a home away from home. Palm and Cactus rental is complete with comfortable beds, television options in many locations, open kitchen, dining and living room with a beautiful backyard to view or enjoy. The yard is well kept and the humming birds enjoy visiting the floral bushes. The patio and pool is clean and roomy. This home is designed and well equipped for families with children visiting the area. This location is near grocery stores and places to eat. We were here visiting family in the area and celebrating my dad’s 80th birthday.

Family trip

The house was perfect for our visit to Mesa where my parents live. The open living space and well-stocked kitchen were great for hosting family dinners. The back yard was a great place to hang out and drink coffee in the morning. Overall the house is super cute and clean. We'll go back!

A joy-filled week-end

I recently rented this unit for a visit for my grandson and his family - 2 adults and children aged 12, 10 and 4. It was the gathering place for the entire family while they were in town. I cannot express how wonderful this unit was and the hosts amazing. Each concern was addressed within minutes and with courtesy and a solution. The home was fantastic. The children and the adults loved their rooms and, of course, the pool. My great-grands who were visiting and the ones living in Mesa had never met, but they got along like a house on fire. This house was so well-stocked and amenable for cooking and gathering. I cannot begin to express the pleasure of all us as we gathered to cook, play games and visit. Mel and Jason are amazing hosts and their home is a welcoming and fun home where you can thoroughly relax and enjoy your visit.

An Oasis

We loved staying here. The house was fantastic and highly accessible for my two vision impaired daughters. Great decor, clean and had everything we needed (including high performance AC to beat the 110 degree heat). The backyard was phenomenal. Awesome BBQ and lots of comfortable seating. The pool was perfect and really refreshing. Lots if shopping close by. Mel and Jason were so easy to work with and very quick response. If we return to Mesa we will stay at this oasis!

Our Stay in Mesa

Our family stayed at this property for a little over 3 weeks this past February and March 2024. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. The property was beautiful, had a well-stocked kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, beautiful pool, an eating and sitting area with a TV outside. The home is beautifully decorated and is located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood in Mesa. The hosts were always available with any questions we had. We highly recommend this VRBO home!

Perfect for a small group

I stayed here for a long weekend with my adult daughters, we were in town for a bridal shower. The house is convenient to many different businesses (we walked to Starbucks) while still being in a residential neighborhood. There was a good amount of space, the house and pool were immaculate, the sheets were soft and the beds were comfy. Ample basic supplies were provided, we stayed for 3 days and didn’t need to buy anything. The owners were responsive and all communication was clear. I’d 100% stay here again!

Great place.

Everything was great. well stocked kitchen. Location was good. Nice neighborhood. Smallest bathroom by kitchen could use a better toilet paper holder as the paper kept falling off. Everything was well stocked and we appreciate that. An amazing home. We will definitely stay there again.
