Beautiful clean and modern hotel, tastefully decorated. Great modern spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast. Lovely pool area with jacuzzi and gym. Very friendly staff. Lovely location. Had a greats night sleep would most certainly return.
It is your typical courtyard Marriott. Basic clean room, etc. The desk attendant wasn’t all that knowledgeable... You have to pay for parking, which is odd because it’s not in a city setting. As the subject says, “it is what it is.” A courtyard.
Adrian B. did an excellent job with the best hospitality experience. It was a great stay at this property. I like location near old town with free trolley services with great restaurant like Malee's Thai Bistro.
I don't often submit hotel reviews, but submitting this one as a warning to anyone interested in this hotel. If I could give it zero stars I would. We discovered bright RED BLOOD on a pillowcase, flat and top sheet. Absolutely disgusting. It was abundantly clear that our sheets had not been changed since the previous guests. The blood had even soaked onto the mattress pad. When I went downstairs to alert the staff, we were not offered a new room, we were given new sheets to put on ourselves instead ... the sheets were for a full bed, not the king we had. We ended up sleeping on two flat sheets placed across the bed. I have never been so angry in a public place. If I were not on a family vacation and if it had not been 10 p.m., I would have stormed out. The next morning the bloody sheets that I had put into the hall were gone. I went down to discuss the incident further with the manager and found that the manager on duty had no knowledge of the events of the previous night. I pointed him to the photos that I was instructed to send the hotel's email. He reviewed and said that before doing anything he would need to see the issue in person - I reiterated that the bloody sheets were no longer on the bed, I had placed them in the hall and they had been picked up. I once again pointed to the pictures. After some time the manager offered to give me the "employee rate" for the night. Unacceptable. By that logic, a Marriott employee could conceivably expect to sleep in dirty sheets (and in this case IN BLOOD) each stay. Throughout the entire experience, I was made to feel as though it was my word against the managers. I cannot believe the extreme lack of customer service as well as PUBLIC SAFETY that this hotel displayed. Unconcerned about health code violations, the fresh blood of strangers or defensive employees? Come on down to the Courtyard Scottsdale Old Town.
I stayed here on a Friday night and was pleased how quiet my room was. I was on the 8th floor and heard zero outside noise. The check in staff was very helpful and the room was in great shape. Slept like a rock, and close to all the Old Town shops/restaurants
We have been coming to this hotel for four years in the month of November to celebrate either a birthday or anniversary. Since we have the black Marriott credit card, we are awarded a free night each year and use it for these occasions. We have traveled frequently to Marriott properties as we are also owners of Marriott Vacation Club properties and we frequently use reward points for stays. This is the only Marriott hotel that puts us in a room in a corner of the front of the hotel next to Scottsdale Road which has traffic noise throughout the night. Other Marriott properties take the opinion that since we use points or a certificate, we are valued Marriott customers and provide us with a nice and sometimes an upgraded room. this property seems to take the opposite approach that since we are using a certificate, put the customer in one of our poorest rooms. After four consecutive years of this treatment, we will consider other options in future years.
My friend and I stayed 3 nights at the Courtyard on Scottsdale Road. This was in a perfect location to walk to Old Town Scottsdale -- about 2 blocks. We got our steps in for sure! Our rate included breakfast. It was convenient to eat at the hotel, although a Denny's was located right next door. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and sourdough toast twice and French toast the other morning. If you can get a cheaper rate without breakfast ... go to Denny's. Our room was nice - we were in a 4th floor room with a balcony and pool view. The folks at the desk were friendly and helpful. They always had a nice pitcher of ice water available for guests. (My friend wasn't as happy with her experience ... one morning she was using the computer in the lobby and some drunk man harassed her for a half hour. She was disappointed nobody from the hotel stepped in to save her.) We had appetizers at Salty Senorita and yummy burgers at Burger Rehab. Would definitely go back to both places.
A great hotel because of the great service and friendly staff. A great and super friendly welcome from Brandon on the reception and from Grace on the bar. Super attention to details and welcoming nature that leaves me speechless.
The hotel is very nice. Clean and decent sized rooms. Enjoyed pool and spa. All staff that we dealt with were friendly and efficient. The restaurant us adequate although getting waited on would be better. A short drive to Old Town it a stroll for some on really busy street. Certainly a good deal and included breakfast.
I'd have to say that this is the best Courtyard that we have stayed in. We've stayed in many throughout the US over the years & this one is so modern & well designed. Staff are great too. As a platinum we weren't upgraded room wise but did manage to get a balcony room overlooking the pool that we asked for. The added bonus of a gift from the market was nice - double choc Ben & Jerrys, yum as well as free parking. Would recommend a room with 2 double beds as it seems more spacious than the king bed rooms. Air con isn't nearly as noisy as in some of the older hotels and works well in the desert heat. Pool area is very nice, pretty quiet and well designed in that the jacuzzi is in a covered area which means you can actually use it in the heat. Seating area inside the pool is great for reading a book in the pool. Easy to walk to a variety of local restaurants. We chose Salty Senoritas which had a good happy hour and was about 2 blocks away. Great relaxing hotel, would highly recommend.
