Do not stay here!

We checked in and went to the side door to walk to our room. There is construction going on outside, but we figured the room would be fine. Got into the hallway where some of the rooms are, and there was ceiling tiles missing with pipes showing. It seemed like there were some repairs going on with the pipes going all the way down the hall. Went into our room and was instantly hit with a mildew musty smell. Walked over to the curtains to shut them, and the carpet was squishy/full of water. We refused to stay in that room as I am pregnant and the rest of the hotel was booked. Crazy after spending $359 on the room. We had to find a last minute room at a different hotel which was super stressful as we drove from a couple hours away. Ended up staying at the Odawa Hotel which was much cheaper and way nicer.

Parking lot very poor lighting. carpet in room ripped up, 60 F. Air Conditioner either on or off. No temperature control. Walking in the room was like going into a freezer, plus very loud. Big bug in the folded towel. Mold around the edges in bathroom. Rude receptionist. Only cold breakfast

The bed was comfortable including the pillows. So comfy i wanted to take one home. 😁 But i didn't. Easy to get to. Right of the expressway. Really nice cause it was right across from m119 to the tunnel of Trees. Will definitely stay again.

Comfortable room except for the noise next door

Our stay was short and the room was comfortable. The bed was great, room clean, plenty of seating - loved the table and 2 chairs in the corner. The bathroom was just fine, clean and nice bath/shower. All that was great. The thing about the room that was problematic was that we had a room with a connector door and we could hear the dog barking and whining in the next room from about 11pm to 11:40pm. I called the front desk and she made an attempt to call the room - I know because I could hear the phone ringing in the room! No one picked up. Dog finally stopped whining. At about 3am, I heard hard knocking on the hallway door to that room. The dog started barking again. No one, apparently, answered the door. The knocking went on periodically, for the next 30 min or so. It ruined my sleep! Finally someone inside the room answered the door and I could here vague conversation. More knocking. Finally it ended. At 6am, a blaring alarm clock started and no one shut it off. I waited 15 min and it finally stopped but only for a couple minutes (snoozed?) and then started blaring. I got out of bed and knocked on the adjoining door and yelled, 'HEY, turn off the alarm!!!" They turned off the alarm. No apologies. The dog started barking. They told the dog to shut up. I couldn't get back to sleep. Something is clearly wrong with the basic attention to noise levels and noise abatement between the rooms, caring about who you put next to who (with a dog!) in adjoining rooms.

Unfortunate Experience

This hotel was under renovation but it wasn't listed as such on the website. We noticed the lobbly was disrupted but it didn't prepare us for the rest. The external security door near our room was broken, key didn't work but door could be pulled open without it; there was no carpet, only raw concrete in the hallway; the window in the room (first floor) was open and lock was defective; the trim around room door leaked light on all sides; bathroom had mold around faucet and door wouldn't close all the way. Unfortunately, room was paid in advance and we arrived after the 4 pm no charge cancellation time. At check out, staff was aware the security door was broken "earlier that week" and said renovation was now posted on website. No discount was offered for condition of room/hotel, definitely not worth $275 per night (with tax, over $300). Would not recommend or stay there again.

We loved the new bathroom and newly decorated room. We were surprised there wasn't a closet or rod to hang up clothes, but it looked like they may have not been finished with the remodel.

The location was very good. The property itself is in poor condition, dilapidated furniture, dirty carpets, needs an urgent remodel. Expensive for what it is. No real breakfast, muffins and bagels, coffee.

Property location is great. Central to dining options and recreational areas. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The property itself is in need of some renovation. Room, in general, was haphazard. Air conditioner was very loud and leaking onto the floor. “Wood” floor panels had many gaps and were heaving/buckling in some places. Marble counter in the bathroom was cracked.. just needs some love. Bed was very comfortable. Overall, if you need a place to sleep, it will do, just don’t expect the quintessential hotel experience.

This is a great property if you just need to sleep for one night. The room smelled like a combination of mold and stale cigarettes. The staff weren’t directly rude but did not stop their personal conversation to check us in and didn’t look up from their phone to check us out. The bed was comfortable but I’m not convinced that things were clean in that room. We’d driven 10 hours and left early so it was fine for that, but wouldn’t recommend for any other reason.
