Ideal for us as tourists: In the centre of the CBD + a 5 min walk to city centre shops / restaurants etc. 10 min walk to Elizabeth Quay .- very pretty (and safe) to walk round at night. 30 min walk to the old WACA. Room - clean, modern decor, comfy bed etc. Secure safe + good wifi connection for all 5 devices. friendly staff. Ate one night at Adelphis (hotel restarant) and had a really super meal. I had a fish medley that was delicious and my husbands steak was cooked perfectly. We had a taxi to and from the airport which was AUD 50 each way. One very minor problem; was the room kettle (lid) that didnt close properly and it was immediately replaced with a new one.
I'm in my room at 12.20am sweating. There is no A/c just vents with a tempreture gauge. It doesn't seem to work though. I can hear a loud motor running outside if I open my window but It couldnt be the A/C as there is no cool air coming out of it. Also at check in I was told I needed to use my credit card to pay for the room and deposit and they wouldn't take a debit mastercard. I was told by Daniel that it was a new rule brought in by the Australian govenment 2 weeks ago. I find this odd that the government would care how hotels took payment. Also restaurant was closed. I booked via booking .com and was advertised as 20% off in restaurant for guests. Other than that the room was clean and shower was nice.
Stayed 5 nights with my family. Found on arrival that the restaurant and bar area was closed - no notification in advance. Overall it is fine and a decent location and for a city centre hotel has a good pool and fitness centre but it is tired, the walls are thin and it is quite noisy - you hear doors banging late at night. They also take a credit card hold charge of £100 per room per evening stay despite the fact that we had pre-paid which is removed 5-7 days following checking out which seems excessive. Mini bar charges even for water are laughable.
I could not give this a 5 star rating this stay only because the restaurant was being refurbished and no access to a bar. The front desk was very good with Daniel in training and learning the ropes but very professional. The star of the front desk is Carol who managed a situation where I needed help with humour and organisation. The Night manager Steve was excellent in also helping with after hour service and as a team they both work well together. If I have any advice look to purchase a queen suite for those extra dollars and the comfort and space is 5 star. Breakfast can be hectic on a Sunday so avoid 9-1 am if you can as it’s very busy. The food on offer is fine but what makes it memorable is Jono who is a star member! Helpful and remembers your name and excellent customer service exactly what makes you feel a special guest. Looking forward to seeing the Adelphi finished and I’m sure that it will help the hotel be even more appealing. Final thank you to the operation manager Des who thanked us for staying when we bumped into him in the foyer. This type of family feeling makes you want to rebook and we will be back , thanks to everyone!
We spent two nights in Hilton Perth. Hotel and room are very clean with a comfortable bed, big and modern bathroom (bathtub and shower), lots of closets. The hotel is extremely well located not far from Elizabeth Quay and not far from the city centre. Breakfast is delicious with a huge variety of different food! Negative is that the pool has no more sun in the late afternoon and the views from the hotel are limited. However very good price/ quality ratio and we can definitely recommend it for your Perth stay.
Perfect location for tourist things - next to kings park and the tours we did picked us up from the hotel and were able to drop us off (first drop off as well which is always good after a long day). We got a really good price for 4 nights and the room was huge and in perfect condition. Would stay again & would reccomend
Checked into the hotel and discovered they had a twin room booked instead of the requested queen room. No problem they searched for a new room and put us in a King room, making all the necessary changes without fuss. Very professional and appreciated.
When I read others reviews about the noisy air con, I thought to myself, it should be fixed by now. Well, this morning I have never woken up so tired after a night's 'sleep'. The complaints about the air con dated as far back as 2012! Good luck trying to get some sleep in room 1001.
The hotel is one of the original 5 star hotels in Perth. It is in a good location for walking around the city and is easy to access by most transport methods. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The beds are big and comfortable. The hotel has an excellent gym and pool. The internet is reasonable at about 5 mb/s and very reliable. The restaurant closed on our last day for a refurb but we ate here on a couple of occasions and found the food very good albeit a little expensive. The staff were helpful and courteous. Since we were there during a quiet week for the hotel we got a great deal on the room rate that included breakfast. Our breakfast was included but it took a couple of days before we were added to the list at breakfast. However, breakfast was very good. The air conditioning in the room is difficult to adjust and had very old controllers. The bathroom is probably a little overdue for a refit.
Used to be an incon but is now just an old and tired property. Some staff try to be helpful some have no clue. Definitely don’t park, outrageously expensive. Needs an extensive renovation to make a stay worthwhile.
