Location of Hotel is good, on Hay St, can walk to many places. The room we had was very ordinary needing a refurb, and the shower was atrocious. Very poor pressure and the temperature was tepid at best. Notified reception and ZERO was done. Again complained the following day and we were moved to another room. The shower was better but not good. Overall a frustrating eperience
Our family of 2 adults and 2 teens enjoyed a total of a 4 night stay in 2 different rooms. The first room 304 was a bit tired but had a view onto Hay St but at the end of our holiday we had another 3 night stay and ended up on level 6 in rooms 603 & 604 with the same view. Our room had an ensuite with QS bed and a single bed with a huge wardrobe, mini fridge/tv and behind the 'secret door' was room 604 which had another QS bed, sofa, printer/fax, larger tv, reading lamp and desk, table and 2 chairs, FULL kitchen with hot plates and oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine AND yes there's more we also had a fully laundry with a fridge/freezer, washer, dryer, laundry tub, ironing board/iron and powder/stain remover sprays etc. There are laundry facilities on level 5 but we had our own. We felt really spoilt having this huge space which was modern and very clean. There were a few dinner plates missing but we had everything we needed. We paid a little extra to enjoy the buffet breakfast from Blue Rock Cafe downstairs 6-9am. The Hotel is an easy walk to the Perth Mint and there are several eateries nearby with our favourite the kebab shop. We also dined at the Grosvenor Hotel. There are two hotel parking areas available, enter from either Hay St or from Forrest Ave - parking is limited. The Hay St Mall is an easy walk and check out London Court. There are plenty of buses but we had a hire car. The Hotel was in a quiet part of the city and we had no issues with noise in any of our rooms. We also booked a courtesy bus to collect us from across the road for our day trip to Rottnest Island which was really convenient. Check out is at 10am. We had free wifi 500mb for each of us each day which was excellent. Kings Park is well worth visiting and was an easy drive away and Elizabeth Quay is within walking distance. We paid $160 a night which was value for money.
We stopped off here for a couple of nights to break our trip from the UK to Sydney. It's some 15 minutes by taxi both from the centre of Perth and the airport. A shuttle service for the airport is provided. The room was on the small side but adequate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Both buffet and cooked breakfasts were good.
We stayed 4 nights here and it was better than I thought it would be. Beds were great only negative was the lift woke us up constantly. Perfect location we had heaps of restaurants within 5 mins walk and the mint was 200m away - great location. Don't have breakfast downstairs - too expensive.
This hotel has everything for the average traveller: a decent per night price, a good continental breakfast spread at the café downstairs with plenty of seats and friendly staff, free parking, comfortable beds, good room size with lots of space for your luggages, quick efficient check in and check out. This is my 2nd stay here. I would stay here again for my next trip to Perth.
Rooms are quite spacious and comfortable at an affordable price. Still within walking distance to various attractions at Perth CBD. Another plus point is that they provide free and accessible parking for patrons. Worth considering this place for those travelling with car for a short stay to Perth.
I booked at the last minute and got a pretty good price. The room is a bit tired, but all I really wanted was a bed for a few nights and this was perfect. The staff at the counter were so helpful, plus there is a free Perth City bus stop really close. This hotel is actually with in easy walking distance to the Perth Mint. I loved the black out curtains and that there were free newspapers in the lobby. A restaurant is attached to the hotel, but I didn't have a chance to go in.
Decent location within walking distance of the Waca, Perth Mint and not a million miles staggering distance from Northbridge. Nice sized, comfortable and fairly well equipped room. Nice and helpful staff. Enjoyable stay.
Stayed here one night via a very reasonable internet deal. Reception was efficient if not overly friendly. Parking is free on a 'first come, first served' basis and if you have a car I suggest you come early.. I arrived at 3.00 pm and snared the last spot under the building. I believe, though, the hotel has access to a second carpark nearby. I have no complaints about my room, including the bathroom. All fine. No view, but not to worry. The cafe was also good for breakfast. Only complaint really was about the TV remote in my room that looked like it had come off the Ark - little stickers on it telling you which buttons to push, tape holding in the batteries, and some functions (+ / -) and numbers so worn by usage that the lettering was no longer visible. Also had no ABC reception when I first turned on TV, which girl on front desk said was 'often a problem'. Anyway, she was able to re-tune and that concern was quickly solved. All in all, would stay again.
This was a okey budget hotel. Breakfast was super. But WIFI was "limited" to 500MB/day. And even if just browsing on my phone for a short time. I run out of MB. Parking behind hotel was nice and just 15 min walking to city center
