This hotel is a trap. My money is stolen from my room safe which is provided by the hotel itself. I went for outing and once i come back the safe was opened and a large amount of money was stolen from the safe. All my cash and valuables were locked inside and it was locked with my four digit number. Immediately after discovering the missing money I went to the hotel reception and informed them. They didn't react though they said you can go to the police but they will also not do anything. After receiving such wired reaction from the reception lady i still went to the police station and it was true police came but till date nothing happened and they are still investigating with no clue. I asked for the number of their senior authority or owner so that i can inform them about the problem but they even did't bother and simply said we cant give you. After my incident i come to know that this happened with other guests also. Their money and other valuables are also stolen from their room and hotel staff is not cooperating and not bothered at all. This hotel is a scam. They trap people like this.. Please avoid this hotel.
Ladies at the reception desk were really rude and not helpful at all..!! Location was beachfront and rooms were clean and tidy but we had a bitter experience from hotel staff... There are better hotels at the same rate in the beachfront..!!
It is a great hotel! It very clean and aesthetically beautiful. A little worn out . Walls have stains but very negligible ones. The wifi is extremely strong everywhere but where I lived. It was probably because I had a corner room. There are no handshowers so brown people be aware. The food is out of this world! The hotel is right infront of the beach. All in all amazing !
Great hotel / excellent location, central to everything/great location on the beach / great friendly staff / food excellent/ Rooms clean and comfortable ......if we had not lost substantial $ and Cards$ from our locked room safe it would have been a great stay .....but we have booked to return again soon ( should have used reception locked security boxes available... will next time ) highly recommended hotel :):):)
I was very impressed by the staff at the hotel especially the front desk and housekeeping staff were very kind to us . It was wonderful from check in to check out . looking forward to our next visit .
This is an older hotel which must have been something in it's day. It still has a classy feel to it although the decor at times is a bit odd. Front desk at arrival was a little stiff and cold. They got better as they learned my joking personality. Elevator to 6 floor is very small. 4 persons max. Our room was huge. Side view of ocean but still amazing. 605 I believe which was completely separated from any other rooms. We had zero wall noise and we were on the top floor. This was billed as standard room, no frills but it was excellent. Large bathroom, great shower, fridge with mini bar & flat screen tv w/DVD & surround sound. The speakers weren't wall mounted but the sound quality is excellent. The hotel has a library with a huge DVD selection. Only negatives for the room, there are several screws in the wall where photos have been removed. It looks bare and a bit tacky. A huge window runs on the outside of the room. The outside of the window is borderline filthy with dirt & bird poop and in the inside the frame work is filthy as well. There was also a bad smell when the a/c was turned on as if the industrial filters have not been changed. We decided to eat in the restaurant after reading the menu that's provided in the room. Upon entering the restaurant with seating inside & out, we found the dining room empty. There may have been one or two tables outside but we opted for the comfort of the a/c. There was a bit of chaos during our meal as 4 different people attended to our needs. Their professional level ranged from very friendly and helpful to none of the above. Not consistent. We wanted to relax and take our time, have a drinks first, then apps , then our entree and finally dessert. With 4 people every time we looked up someone was standing at our table going "what do you want?" At one point the bartender came over and tried to take our menus away from us before we had ordered our entrees. Ok that was the annoying portion of our program. The positive is the food was great & affordable. My friend ordered a pork steak & it was cooked to perfection with a nice sauce. We had margaritas that were deadly strong. I'm not complaining. Possibly the best spring rolls I've ever had. The cooks here, two women, are very good. They cooked our breakfast as well. Omelettes and bacon. The need to work on the bacon. On the raw side. I like it crisp . Breakfast, buffet style , is included with the room and wasn't bad. Basic but plenty to eat. The lobby is most impressive I felt with an attempt at an luxurious feel. Complete with a doorman. Just the wacky artwork takes away from the class. I loved this hotel and I look forward to returning 😎
This is the second time I am staying here, it is very beach front as only the Pattya Beach Road separate the hotel from the beach. I took 606 room which has two big windows the window in the south side has the view of the entire marine drive of Pattaya, although hotel is old rooms are kept well, bath room has good shower and very clean toilets. It has a gym, good common room and fabulous breakfast included in the price, one could sit out to have food in the front of the house watching the beach, road and life that goes on. Staff could be better they are all the same old faces but very reserved manner.
Me and husband stayed in February 2017 month I don't have a key to access to my room. I was told by the man at reception that the man has taken my key up to the room. But when I ask the man at front reception who is taking a key to my room while my husband was out side of the hotel. He got so mad at me and talk slur language to me in Thai (I'm Thai anyway) and telling me that I m a prostitute so I recorded vedio in my phone and send to HQ in Bangkok and leave my phone number until now they have not contact me to apologise.
As our Hotel, the Amari, is going to be demolished, we had a look at all hotels around. On the way home after early dinner, I realized the forst time this was a hotel. I thought it was a restaurant only. I went in and met a kind of concierge in the encuu trance. As I really needed a toilet first, I asked kindly for the restrooms and all I got was a "No, Sir! Sorry, Sir! Good evening, Sir! And a straight arm, pointing to the exit. I want to add, that I was dressed propperly and absolutely sober. I do understand hotel's "toilets for guests only" policy, but that was really rude!
The hotel is beachfront. It is not very big compared to the others on this road. it is beside the A-one cruise hotel. we took rooms 501 and 502. they are sea facing. the rooms are moderately sized. the balconies are really good with two wooden chairs and a table in all of them. the air conditioner worked really well. the bathroom is moderately sized and all the amenities are spot-on. the shower has very good hot and cold water supply and it can be very nicely balanced. they have 3 big bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. every guest has to use the products from them. and they are good quality products. the breakfast isn't quite lavish but there is a good amount of choice. a variety of cereals to choose from. bread and lots of different jams and jellies along with butter. they also have eggs to order and they will make it according to your preference. the lady in the egg station is quite friendly. everyday they make this egg and chicken fried rice which is quite tasty. they also have a selection of fruits available which are cold and freshly cut. they have different kinds of pastries too. they make spaggettis and a potato dish too everyday along with a soup. tea and coffee are also served hot and fresh along with an array of biscuits. the room service is good and prompt too. and the housekeeping cleans the rooms daily. we used to leave for sight seeing right after breakfast and after we would return we will find our rooms made neat and clean. the hotel staff are moderately helpful.
