Bait and Switch

I booked a 5 bedroom/3 full bathroom apartment in Paris and found out 3 days before arrival that there was only ONE toilet! The description and included diagrams stated that there were three (3) toilets--I have printed proof of this. When we arrived for our two week stay, the door jamb was broken so the door would not close and one of the air conditioners leaked; only ONE set of keys was supplied for an apartment that is advertised to accommodate 14 (fourteen) people! The management of the accommodation was mildly responsive--the door jamb was repaired on day 6 of our stay; after much "back and forth" we had three sets of functional keys on day 8 of our stay. We were told that "toilet" means something different in France; however, it seemed to mean "commode" in all the restaurants and museums--and the diagram in the description of the apartment belied their argument. If you rent from VRBO in Paris (and we have rented all over the world!), be sure you get what you are paying for--WE DID NOT!!

Great stay but key things missing frrom the listing!

- 9 friends stayed at this property over 2 nights - There are 3 showers (one of which is in one of the bedrooms and not a separate bathroom - There is only 1 toilet and if you're a big group can be very disruptive. - Check in process was a bit longer than usual and felt a bit like an escape room - There is a lift to this apartment but beware that only 2 people max at a time (it's on the 4th floor) - We were only given one key so if you're not travelling around Paris together, it can be awkward - Other than that, accommodation was clean and comfortable and the property manager was very responsive!
