I stopped here for one night to visit a friend in the nearby Montparnasse district (14th Arrd). It is literally across the road from the metro so very easy to reach, great especially when laden with baggage! I arrived around lunchtime, in the pouring/freezing rain to a warm welcome by the lady on reception and to the best news which was that my room was ready. My room was a cosy double but had everything I needed and was toasty warm. I had a balcony to the front of the hotel which I can imagine in the summer is lovely and lets in light and air. The bed was super comfy and I had a great night of undisturbed sleep. The hotel is in a great spot for exploring Montparnasse, and finding the market streets tucked away nearby along with the dozens of coffee shops. If you want to head right into the city, expect it to take you around 20 mins via metro and 30 mins to reach Gare du Nord. I would definitely recommend this little hotel and I would love to come back to it on my next trip to Paris.

Unless you want to spend a great deal more, the Sophie Garmin really offers everything needed from a small central hotel. Very clean, proper size beds for someone of 1.90m, smart modern bathrooms with several small freebies that help make a guest at home. Great breakfast. Genuinely helpful staff keen to assist - not typical in Paris. For anyone travelling with a large car; having found only options suitable for parking small vehicles, you can rest assured that the parking facilities available from Sophie Garmin (2 min walk away) can accommodate a larger than average vehicle without issue. Brilliant for central Paris.

This is a nice little hotel in a great location in Paris. I got a promotion with a great price. It’s clean and offers all you need for a solo business trip. No frills, a good bed, a kettle for some coffee and a good shower. Friendly staff.

A great place to stay in Paris. I can recommend this to all visitors, be it private or on business The rooms are tiny, with an even tinier bathroom. But what counts: Very clean Very friendly staff Very good breakfast In a quiet neighborhood. Over all at a (for Paris) bargain price I'll come again!

If you don't mind taking the MTR to the city centre, the hotel Sophie Germain will be a perfect pick! I went there last July by car to visit Paris for the 2nd time and at first, I was a bit afraid that it would be too far from the City centre. First of all, the parking is no problem. You can find a place on the street or ask the hotel (they will charge you). Then, the hotel is around the corner of a subway entrance and if you like walking, you can enjoy a lot of places that you would never see if you only stay in the city centre. We went walking to the asian district for some food. It was about 30min walking from the hotel. Anyway, we were welcomed by friendly staff (all of them) and the hotel looked very modern and most important, the room was clean and the bed was just perfect for a hotel! When I visit Paris again, I would probably visit this hotel again!

As I said, it's a charming and cosy hotel. Close to the metro and boulevard Montparnasse Almost downton and not far from Louvre. I recomend it to my frinds And you'll be welcomed by the charming Sofie.

We stayed about 5 days at Hotel Sophie Germain during our visit to Paris. The room and overall hotel is somewhat small, but comfortable and clean. Our room had enough room for two of us and multiple pieces of large luggage. They included a complimentary bottle of champagne in the refrigerator which was a nice welcoming touch. One odd thing we were asked during our stay was to give the room key to the front desk whenever we left for long periods – this may be due to only having on key for the room to allow them to clean but overall it was no impact on our stay. As for location, it was about a block away from the Paris Catacombs entrance which was extremely convenient when we visited that on our last day (get there by ~8:30AM to avoid a huge line when it opens at 10AM). About half a block from the Hotel is the Mouton-Duvernet Metro Station that made access to the rest of Paris extremely easy – during our stay we got the unlimited Metro pass which made life extremely easy! As for things nearby the hotel, there were plenty of restaurants, convenience stores and shopping. Just over a block away are two good bakeries, Paul and Le Pain au Naturel right in front of the Paris Catacombs. Our first night we got in late and went down the block to Les Jardins Contini and got a delicious Pizza to go. Parking was around the corner accessed off the main road in front of the hotel (Avenue du General Leclerc) just prior to turning onto the road in front of the hotel (Rue Sophie Germain). The entrance to the parking is two blue double doors between babaO and Saint Algue with the words ‘Boxes a Louer’ above them. You’ll need to get the clicker from the Hotel to access the parking but you should definitely drop your luggage at the hotel prior to parking – there is no elevator in the parking garage. The garage is extremely tight and the Hotel’s spots are on the very top. Access back down is via a tight, circling stair case.

Great location, with shopping, transit, restaurants and cafes all nearby. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and quiet, and the breakfast is lovely. This hotel is a nice discovery. Don't miss the florist on the corner!

The hotel is located close to the station and it is very convenient. But it is also located in a quiet area. The room is relatively spacious compared to Paris standard. The design of the bath room is new, but it is comfortable.

Booked for a business trip as meeting hotel full. What a find - Room spotless comfortable and quiet while not large size was adequate as was breakfast. Close to some great restaurants and very helpful staff will certainly use again if staying in Paris. Also close to RER from CDG made travel easy and a part of Paris that felt safe to walk at night
