Great hotel at a reasonable price. Centrally located in a safe and clear area. Great if you plan to do any day trips with tour companies which originate just down the block. For an American the air conditioning left something to be desired during the 104 degree heat wave, but overall room was clean, stylish and comfortable.

Quaint little hotel in the middle of Paris. My flight arrived at 6.30 am and I made my way to the hotel by 9.30 am. The reception checked me in (room was smaller but I did not mind) even though the check-in time was 2 pm. As for the daily breakfast at 7 am, the spread is reasonable but be prepared to wait. The door to the dining area opens 10 minutes pass 7 and only half the spread is there (on all 3 days). When I asked for the scrabble eggs (which they served prepared in a heated pot), I got a shout from across the room from a lady (supposingly in-charged) - 'you want eggs, you wait'! This was at 7.35 am! All in all, its a great place with helpful and accommodating front-desk staff.

This is a boutique hotel with only a few rooms per floor and perhaps a single staff member available at any time other than adjacent restaurant staff. While quaint in a Parisian way, it is absolutely not suited for a family. Among other things, the bathroom doors are basically folding closet doors so there is no privacy. The staff was helpful and nice enough, but we had to ask repeatedly for sheets, blankets, and towels. The wifi is a joke. Worst of all, the air conditioning barely had any effect on a hot Parisian day. That being said, it is okay in a funky boutique way, the location is great, and we might stay here as a couple but not as parents with children.

Nice staff, nice features. The attached restaurant can be a bit expensive, and the room itself was slightly smaller than I'd hoped. That aside, staff was very friendly and helpful, and you're very close to the Louvre and Opera, and the Metro for trips all over the city.

This was my first trip to Paris and when making reservations-I had no idea which hotel or area we should stay however when we arrived at the hotel...I knew we had made a wise choice! The staff were all very professional and friendly. The room- although small- was clean and comfortable! We were in a great location without being in the busiest/loudest part of the city. There are metro stops within walking distance in every direction. The restaurant downstairs was convenient and the food delicious! The staff at the restaurant were friendly and jovial! There are also very good cafés on each corner of the street. There is also major shopping malls nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends!

Lovely Hotel design and concept. This hotel was truly a Parisian experience. It was wonderful to receive a small bottle of wine upon arrival, but we did not receive any "hot towels" during our departure. The hotel concierge was not great by American standards as American hotels are a bit more accommodating in the way of customer service. I didn't like the restaurant that they recommended to us, (though they did give good directions) it seemed as though every american in walking distance was there. I assumed that they refer all their patrons there because the wait staff speaks English. I did not have a chance to eat at the hotel restaurant, but it looked very good. Great area for shopping and to see the Louvre. No need to rent a car, everything is in walking / cab distance. The room was a little small for two people and the view was not spectacular. It kind of creeped me out that the mirrors in the hotel looked like they could be two-way mirrors, but after much investigating I found that they were not, and that was just the design aesthetic. The noise level was low despite that the room had a street window. My biggest pet peve has to do with most all French hotels. French showers only have a small piece of glass that covers 1/4 of the shower to act as a shower door. Enviably the floors are soaking wet at the end of your shower, but I've found this to be the standard in many hotels in France. Overall, its a great, clean hotel in a good location for a reasonable price.

perfect location to all the attractions, great transportation system , friendly staff, just an over all great time

The front desk was extremely helpful I believe her name was OM and the front desk sir, was equally as helpful. I enjoyed the stay and the location was perfect.

We had a terrific experience here and would definitely consider staying here again. This was the second Paris hotel we stayed in on our trip and definitely our favorite. We went on the off season and booked a package including breakfast, which was an excellent value. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed the wine that was waiting for us upon arrival. Good location close to the Louvre. We were very happy with our stay!

The hotel was recommended as part of a flight / hotel package. I took the "risk" and added this hotel to the flight and found it to be a good recommendation. I was somewhat disappointed from the room size, but its location compensated for this inconvenience.

This was my wife's and my first trip to Paris, and we couldn't be happier with the hotel we chose. The location is perfect, within a stone's throw to the Louvre and Jardin des Tuileries. Metro stops nearby, lots of cafes and shopping, and, most importantly, clean and safe. The staff is so courteous and helpful, willing to do whatever it takes to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The room was small, but perfectly comfortable for two people. Clean and elegant and well-kept, the cleaning staff was also friendly and excellent at their job. My wife and I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would love to stay here again in the future.

What a great place to stay. When checking in I was asked if i required a tub. I said all i needed was a shower. The young woman checking me in smiled and said, "good, because I assigned our room with a designer shower in it." Wow, what a bathroom! Glass walls, huge black granite shower with both a rain forest showerhead at the very high ceiling and a hand held shower. Room was small but beautiful and perfect for me. Hotel staff was friendly, and very accommodating. A great experience.

The location is great, less that two blocks from the Louvre. The hotel is fine, but the rooms (even the Superior one I booked) are small. But we spent little time there, so it wasn't that much of a problem. The breakfast was good as was the restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Highly recommended! This centerally located hotel had a tres comfortable bed, great in-house resaurant (Oscars), and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Air conditioning worked great -- as did the no-charge Wifi. Tub for soaking feet and towel warmer in bath were added bonus. About 1 block from Pyramides metro (follow the signs to the Tourist Information (TI) and it is just down the block). We easily got our Museum Passes at the TI (took less than 5 minutes). Also, hotel is about 2 blocks to the Louvre and Tulleries Gardens. There is also a place to book bus tours a block toward the Louvre. We had a wonderful visit and would definately stay there again.

My daughter and I just returned from a once in a lifetime trip to Paris. I booked througb Orbitz. We stayed at the Hotel Lumen. The hotel was amazing. It is just blocks from the Louve and many other sites. It is also a short walk to the metro which is easy access to any of the sites of Paris. The hotel staff gave us excellent advice on how to use the metro system, where to get souveneirs, and resturants to get the best food for the $. I would recommend bringing an electric outlet converter. Ours did not work so we could not charge iPod or iphone for internet. No hotel computer to use. Amazing continental breakfast with fresh pastries, fruit, cheeses, and fantastic coffee with steamed milk!

Very friendly staff and the location is excellent (walking distance to the two Cityrama offices for day tours). Very close to the Louvre.

Visited lesser known sights, did some serious people watching from sidewalk cafes, absorbed beaucoup atmosphere

The other reviews are pretty accurate. I would only say that the rooms are too dark as the lighting is inadequate and the desk is a bit small for both a laptop and a note pad and since there is no desklamp or overhead light, a bit difficult for the business traveler. Otherwise, clean, well located, quiet, great wifi, great staff, abundant toiletries, efficient air-conditioning.

Near the metro, easy walk to just about everything. Comfortable room and bed, small but cozy. Open bathroom concept which was fine for this solo traveler but for a couple? Staff was very helpful and spoke englsh.

Great location, lovely staff, great room. It's minutes from the Louvre, the Tuilleries, the Orangerie, Musee D'Orssay, Ile de la Cite. It's a great little place and highly recommended. Oh, a bit out of order, but easy access to the Metro.
