From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome. Yes as other reviews have said, the rooms are not huge, but are clean, warm and bed very comfortable. You are there for the beautiful sights of Paris, not to spend time in your room. We had a lovely stay and would return.

The staff were really nice and friendly, it was clean and presentable, plus we really appreciated having the TV in our room! The hotel's located right near Gare de L'Est and Gare du Nord so its a really practical option. Breakfast was also really good considering how affordable it was. Only thing I could possibly complain about was that bottled water was a little overpriced and the room was slightly crammed but that was expected. All in all we had a great time and would totally recommend!

The hotel is very conveniently located close to Gare de l'Est. My booking was confirmed promptly. The staff are very friendly, helpful and competent, and the receptionists speak excellent English. I was pleasantly surprised by my room: it was on the top floor, and really quiet. It was also nice and warm (I was there in November). Based on my stay there, I can recommend this hotel without reservation. The slightly annoying part came later. By the time I got back home, there was an e-mail asking me to evaluate the hotel on TripAdvisor. Fair enough - since I was happy there, I do not mind saying so. However, it seems that I did not respond quickly enough because a week later, I received another e-mail reminding me that other travellers were waiting for my review. This is really a bit too much. A hotel can ask for a review, but in my opinion, it should not clamour for one.

For a weekend is the right choice. The hotel is located near the Gare de l'Est and the Metro. The room was quite small and clean, the bathroom was really tiny. The personell is very friendly and polite. At the day of departure it was also possible to leave the luggage.

My partner and I stayed here while having a long weekend break . For the money we paid it was ok . Lucky for us it was just a place to get some shut eye as if we stayed in the hotel for long periods we would have been annoyed with the very basic facilities and the fact the room was so small . Having said that we enjoyed our weekend and would stay here again if a simular offer came up on groupon Final point is how friendly and professional the staff were everyone who we spoke to were very polite and their customer service was top notch

The hotel is a very good location , very convenient ,if you are going to use the metro, metro station is located in 1/2 a block .walking distance. taxis pass frequently. the receptionist were super nice ladies. the room was clean , small but comfy

Our room allthough very tiny had a nice renovated bathroom and great windows that completely shut out the noise from the street below. The staff were friendly and though the neighbor hood was a little rough it was close to metro and train stations

Located at the heart of the city this hotel is a so so place to put up.. the room we were in was very small.. just enough to accommodate a bed and a table.. but then as we were there to explore the city so didn't spend much time in the hotel except for sleeping at night..well that's what most of the tourists like us look for.. a place clean enough to rest for night.. But again the breakfast layout was quite disappointing. Very basic with very limited options as compared to all the other places we stayed in Europe.. this was the only drawback of this place.. other than that it was fine..

The hotel itself has nothing to write about. Its small, cramped and the rooms end where they start. However this is the case everywhere in Europe for budget hotels and in any case no one spends much time in hotels in Paris when there are thousands of other things to do and time is limited. However compared to other hotels in Europe, breakfast was a big letdown and was too plain.

The hotel was clean and tidy but our recently re-furbished room on the 5th floor was very small although it did have a balcony giving good views of the surrounding area. Boulevard de Magenta is a busy road and noisy throughout the night and as it was warm during our stay we needed to have the windows open but the fan supplied in the room helped to cool it down. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room is fitted with a safe which is FREE! which was a pleasant surprise. The continental breakfast was acceptable but the breakfast room is very small and croissants are obtained from the local boulangerie 'as needed'. Coffee is excellent.
