Booked this suite well in advance. Arrived early so not ready- perfectly fair. Used bathroom in a suite which looked basic, clean, large. Thought it would do. Arrived back later to check on our room. Shown to a tiny suite on top floor, quarter of size of one we’d seen earlier. That one was rented to people who turned up that day. Why does booking ahead mean you get a worse room? We were 4 adults. One bedroom with tiny living room with bed settee. Bore no resemblance to pics on website. 1 tiny bathroom only accessed through bedroom, when bed settee unfolded literally no room to move. In morning couple in bedroom had to get ready and struggle out of room only size of the bed, swap places with couple using sofa bed so they could wash and dress. Very very basic. Clean bedding. Confusing to call it a hotel and suites and say it is 4 star. It is more like a very simple hostel. Fine if that is what you know you are booking but a surprise compared to the photos.
Decent place given the location but not a 4-star by miles (lacks any large hotel amenity - lobby, gym, restaurant, etc). The building is a quaint renovated older house now transformed - it has all the lovely amenities in the pictures and very useful to have a little kitchenette but would rather go for an AirbnB at this price-point for the same result. That being said all was satisfactory and would recommend if a good deal was obtained price wise on the property
I booked for three nights and was told upon arrival my room wasn't ready. I was then told I had to pay the bill for the 3 days. Crazy. I didn't know our plans during our vacation! The wifi doesn't work - a real disaster for adolescents and even for us. There's a machine in the next door building that rumbles on through the night. I've bought 3 pairs of earplugs for tonight. I stayed here before and it was ok - it's really gone downhill. Ive included a photo of the view from our suite. I'll leave you to decide what you think.
We stayed in the Helzear Montparnasse during May half term last year (2016). It was our first time taking the kids (9 years and 6 years old) to Paris - myself and my husband have been many times before. I struggled to find a reasonable accommodation option where the 4 of us could share a quadruple room, but the Helzear came up trumps. It is in a great location, quiet enough locally, but with easy access to the Metro for getting about. The rooms were small but perfectly formed, decorated in a modern style, with a small kitchenette so we could purchase breakfast and lunch things locally (there is a monoprix supermarket in the adjacent street). *Tip you can buy your 'own brand' nespresso pods for your coffee maker here too! Locally my kids loved walking trough the Cemetery to get to the metro stop and I loved the 'Hemingway' bars on Boulevard Montparnasse. A great little apart-hotel and great value for money.
Our family of five stayed here for one lovely night. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, and an easy walk from the Denfert Rochereau station of the RER (which you can take directly from Charles de Gaulle airport). We were warmly welcomed, although our room wasn't quite ready at 4 pm. Benefits include: charming and helpful staff; walking distance to metro; Saturday farmers market on Blvd Edgar Quinet; fresh patisserie breakfast delivered to room for very little extra charge; tasteful room in elegant neighborhood. Downsides: when we opened the extra foldout beds we could barely navigate rooms! They are small. Also, a multi-floor daycare next door looks directly into some rooms, so we had to keep shades closed to not be observed by very young Parisians. Still, overall, this was a good find and we would gladly return.
The hotel gave us an offer and said this was the total amount we need to pay. So we booked the room. But when we checked out, they asked for the city tax again. I said I was told yesterday that amount was the total I needed to pay, and that means the amount should include the city tax. Obviously we could not leave if we did not pay the extra money they asked for. It is a cheating!!! ！！
Couldn't sleep all night because a group of young guys next door were drinking alcohol, absolutely drunk and have been screaming all night. I told them two times to stop but nothing. Than I called the staff to do something because this was absolutely not normal. After someone talked with them they stoped but not completely. The rooms are next to each other with thin wall and you can hear everything. Next day we couldn't even enjoy Paris because we barely slept. Moreover, this hotel doesn't have staff members. There is no one at the reception. Only one guy that we had to call otherwise we couldn't find even him. Imagine if you don't have money on your phone or if your phone can not call abroad, then no way you can get in touch with someone from the staff. Lastly, we booked the room in this hotel in a very last minute (21:30 end of the day) and with a reduced price (special offer) but as soon as we booked, the receptionist calls us and tells us that we need to pay 90€ more from the price that we already paid. He said that the advertisement was saying that if you don't check in before 22:00 o'clock the price is another 90€ extra. I check extremely careful before I take a decision and this statement was not mentioned at all. We were extremely surprised but after some talks they said its okay you don't have to pay it. (It seemed like they lied from the very begining). Avoid avoid avoid this place! Truly mean it!
It was very nice there. We only spent one day before leaving back to Indonesia. The apartment was small but beautiful decorated and complete equip with everything you need to cook. The location is super, it was very near to Galeries Lafayette and traditional market where we bought souvenir/food to bring home. Beside of that the reception was so helpful, we give two thumbs up for Mr. Khristian who serve us and help/give us necessary information that we need.
It is a short walking distance from Denfert-Rochereau station, which takes you directly to CDG Airport. The neighborhood is residential, but with lots of restaurants at walking distance. The rooms are recently renovated with taste, and the rooms include all the amenities required to eat there. It is a perfect place for a transit stay.
If you are looking for something different for your stay in Paris, try this apartment hotel. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood with most of the rooms inside a courtyard. The rooms themselves are kind of quirky yet comfortable with kitchens and everything you need as a base to explore this city. The Helper Montparnasse is very easy to get to from Paris Orly airport and public transit. And there some nice pedestrian streets nearby with restaurants, bars and food shops so you will be well served. The staff is friendly, and the stay is pleasant.
