We stayed in the Helzear Montparnasse during May half term last year (2016). It was our first time taking the kids (9 years and 6 years old) to Paris - myself and my husband have been many times before. I struggled to find a reasonable accommodation option where the 4 of us could share a quadruple room, but the Helzear came up trumps. It is in a great location, quiet enough locally, but with easy access to the Metro for getting about. The rooms were small but perfectly formed, decorated in a modern style, with a small kitchenette so we could purchase breakfast and lunch things locally (there is a monoprix supermarket in the adjacent street). *Tip you can buy your 'own brand' nespresso pods for your coffee maker here too! Locally my kids loved walking trough the Cemetery to get to the metro stop and I loved the 'Hemingway' bars on Boulevard Montparnasse. A great little apart-hotel and great value for money.

Our family of five stayed here for one lovely night. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, and an easy walk from the Denfert Rochereau station of the RER (which you can take directly from Charles de Gaulle airport). We were warmly welcomed, although our room wasn't quite ready at 4 pm. Benefits include: charming and helpful staff; walking distance to metro; Saturday farmers market on Blvd Edgar Quinet; fresh patisserie breakfast delivered to room for very little extra charge; tasteful room in elegant neighborhood. Downsides: when we opened the extra foldout beds we could barely navigate rooms! They are small. Also, a multi-floor daycare next door looks directly into some rooms, so we had to keep shades closed to not be observed by very young Parisians. Still, overall, this was a good find and we would gladly return.

The hotel gave us an offer and said this was the total amount we need to pay. So we booked the room. But when we checked out, they asked for the city tax again. I said I was told yesterday that amount was the total I needed to pay, and that means the amount should include the city tax. Obviously we could not leave if we did not pay the extra money they asked for. It is a cheating!!!

Couldn't sleep all night because a group of young guys next door were drinking alcohol, absolutely drunk and have been screaming all night. I told them two times to stop but nothing. Than I called the staff to do something because this was absolutely not normal. After someone talked with them they stoped but not completely. The rooms are next to each other with thin wall and you can hear everything. Next day we couldn't even enjoy Paris because we barely slept. Moreover, this hotel doesn't have staff members. There is no one at the reception. Only one guy that we had to call otherwise we couldn't find even him. Imagine if you don't have money on your phone or if your phone can not call abroad, then no way you can get in touch with someone from the staff. Lastly, we booked the room in this hotel in a very last minute (21:30 end of the day) and with a reduced price (special offer) but as soon as we booked, the receptionist calls us and tells us that we need to pay 90€ more from the price that we already paid. He said that the advertisement was saying that if you don't check in before 22:00 o'clock the price is another 90€ extra. I check extremely careful before I take a decision and this statement was not mentioned at all. We were extremely surprised but after some talks they said its okay you don't have to pay it. (It seemed like they lied from the very begining). Avoid avoid avoid this place! Truly mean it!

It was very nice there. We only spent one day before leaving back to Indonesia. The apartment was small but beautiful decorated and complete equip with everything you need to cook. The location is super, it was very near to Galeries Lafayette and traditional market where we bought souvenir/food to bring home. Beside of that the reception was so helpful, we give two thumbs up for Mr. Khristian who serve us and help/give us necessary information that we need.

It is a short walking distance from Denfert-Rochereau station, which takes you directly to CDG Airport. The neighborhood is residential, but with lots of restaurants at walking distance. The rooms are recently renovated with taste, and the rooms include all the amenities required to eat there. It is a perfect place for a transit stay.

If you are looking for something different for your stay in Paris, try this apartment hotel. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood with most of the rooms inside a courtyard. The rooms themselves are kind of quirky yet comfortable with kitchens and everything you need as a base to explore this city. The Helper Montparnasse is very easy to get to from Paris Orly airport and public transit. And there some nice pedestrian streets nearby with restaurants, bars and food shops so you will be well served. The staff is friendly, and the stay is pleasant.

It was great to find this little apartment in the middle of the 14eme! It was a very good surprise! If you want to come to Paris and feel at home, this is the spot. The staff is very nice and helpful and the studio is very comfortable and well decorated. There are lots of bars and restaurants around as well as shops and supermarkets. The Denfert-Rochereau station is at 8 minutes walking (it takes you to Orly or CDG airports).

This apartment (not a hotel) is in a wonderful location that is rather peaceful, ordinarily quiet and residential part of Montparnasse. We only had 2 nights here and that is pretty much enough for this place. First of all, let me categorically state that the best part of this place is the service from it's employees. Standouts were Olga and Stan, in particular Stan who did a great job in the evening. He was always helpful and ready to assist. For any site or even the owners to claim this is a four star property is absolutely ridiculous! The apartment allocated to my family was on the first floor adjacent to the Courtyard, there was an automated entry door with a buzzer that was wonderfully loud and irritable for those that came in and out in the evening. Secondly, the apartment needs updating as the carpeting is poor, it retains dirt/debris and is more like commercial carpeting that you find in a warehouse. The kitchen area is small as many others have noted but adequate for a short stay, there are many grocery options nearby to fill your fridge with the basic supplies. We utilized a wonderful boulangerie around the corner for fresh pastries and breakfast items. It is understandable that an older city like Paris does not have the infrastructure for air conditioning etc. but the bedroom at this place had no circulation of air as it was tucked away in the back. Leaving the window open in the main room meant we heard lots of street noise and every other resident coming in and out of the property. Overall this seemed a very average property to me, my job is to connect planners with Hotels and this is not one I would ever recommend to anyone but backpackers and students. One redeeming factor was the location of Rue Daguerre which contains an open air market, a number of restaurants, bars, bakeries etc. that really brings home a proper taste of Paris.

Very attentive, friendly and professional staff, would made our stay all the more enjoyable. The apartment was clean, comfortable and modern. Great location. It even has a sunny garden. Will certainly visit again.
