If you are touring Paris this is a good location. I had heard great things about this hotel, unfortunately our stay fell very short from that. Rooms were nice, overall underwhelming for what we paid. Front desk service was very poor and rude. Concierge was decent, but rest of staff acted liked we were an inconvenience. Plenty of other great hotels to choose from in area.
My daughter and I stayed here and had a wonderful visit. While the room was small by American standards, it was well appointed and comfortable. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the staff is excellent - they were extremely courteous, helpful and friendly.
We really loved this hotel. Took my daughter for an early birthday celebration and came home with fantastic memories. Location was unbelievable - just across from the Louvre's courtyard.! Everything was clean and very stylish. The beds were so comfortable it was hard to wake up each morning. I was very impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. (especially the guys at the concierge). It was hard to leave. Would definitely stay here again!
I loved my stay in this truly beautiful hotel. I normally stay with a friend on Rue St Honoré so wanted to stay in this area. I visited the hotel in advance to check it out and my stay did not disappoint. The room was gorgeous, the staff wonderful. It’s in a fantastic, convenient location. I didn’t want to share the review as I wanted it to remain a hidden gem. I would not stay anywhere else in Paris if I needed a hotel and I’m very fussy.
We really LOVED this hotel. The service is top notch and location cannot be beat. The rooms and lobby are updated but the hotel still retains that old world feel and the courtyard outside the hotel is perfect. Bed was the amazing and the included breakfast was delicious. Concierge went above and beyond for anything requested. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heart beat.
Great location but definitely not worth the amount you spend to stay here. Noisy room, AC that does not cool the room well, no turndown service, and you need to keep asking for coffee creamer if you want more than two in your room. Staff is not friendly and did nothing when we mentioned the problems we were having with the noisy rooftop terrace above our room. We have stayed at the Bristol and loved it there -much better staff and lovely rooms for the same price.
Excellent location, excellent, helpful staff in every aspect - door men, front desk, concierges, restaurant, bar, etc. great rooms, good buffet breakfast. Fitness room spare, with limited workout options.
This small jewel of a hotel is perfectly located near the Louvre and great shopping. Rooms are small but very well appointed and the showers were fantastic. The restaurant and bar are limited but the menu is well chosen. The breakfast buffet is excellent with eggs cooked to order as part of the buffet. They were just about the best eggs I have ever had in my life. The best thing about this hotel, however, is the staff. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home, and made to feel known. As my husband and I have some mobility issues, we appreciated the extra care taken to make sure we would be okay in navigating. When we went to the train station with entirely too much luggage (pending a cruise later on our trip), one of the bell staff went with us to make sure we could get everything checked in. We have stayed in palaces and boutique hotels around the world and have never had better service.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of our 15th anniversary trip. The front desk was excellent - always helpful, excellent English, and would never just direct you somewhere if they could personally escort you. The concierge was excellent - helped us with some restaurants and set up spa reservations quickly and easily The rooms are wonderful - Parisian hotel rooms are quite small, but the Premium room we stayed in had excellent space and storage. Decor was beautiful. Housekeeping was excellent The on site bar and restaurant were excellent. Roman the bartender does amazing work and is very knowledgeable about bar craft! I highly recommend trying the house cocktails. Overall, this was a 5 star stay, and I am pretty sure if my wife and I travel here again that we will be return visitors here.
My husband and I arrived early in the day after an overnight flight. Although our room was not ready, the use of the changing area, complete with a shower, was offered so that we could freshen up. A few hours later, our room was ready, and we were escorted to our small, but well-designed, room that had a balcony overlooking the city. The hotel is very convenient to the Louvre, the Palais Royal, restaurants, and shopping. While the location, the rooms, and the hotel itself, are first-rate, it is the staff that make this hotel special. The front desk always greeted us upon returning, the restaurant staff was quick to welcome and take our orders, and the housekeepers kept our room spotless. We were especially grateful to the concierge staff (Alex and Jeremy), they had excellent restaurant suggestions, and filled our ticket requests quickly and easily. On the day we checked out, we had a very early pick up, and breakfast was not being served. No problem! The front desk sent coffee and pastries for us as we waited on our driver. We truly enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel du Palais Royal and enthusiastically recommend it!
