The positives: close to Bastille and the bars and restaurants and the place is clean. This is really where the positives end. We booked 2 night's here via Groupon this week. When we arrived the lady on the front desk was friendly and checked us into our room. Looking around the place is clean but very sparse and has no atmosphere whatsoever, it did feel a lot more like a hostel. Having had a look at the breakfast area which was tiny I wondered how a hotel (which she claimed was fully booked) could accommodate it's guests for breakfast with 8 seats! We got to our room and small is not the word, I know Paris hotels are small but this was absurd nowhere to move, nowhere to put luggage or hand clothes and the shower is in the room. There is a separate toilet which you have to squeeze by the bed to get into. The safe was also broken so I asked very nicely for another room as I felt this one was not fit for 2 people whatsoever, one at a push. We then had a 20 minute discussion about having to pay to upgrade to a room which was only a fraction bigger with a working safe. We were completely held to ransom because we booked via Groupon and therefore pre-paid. I didn't back down and we were able to 'upgrade' with a very small u to another room for no extra cost. The room has a few hooks for clothes, no wardrobe, shower in the room again which pretty much drenches the floor, nowhere to hang towels, room is either too hot or too cold and the hotel itself is utterly soulless. There are also no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, I mean where would you put it? The breakfast is just depressing, cold meats and yogurt and cereals and pastries are ok, there is someone there but you get your coffee from a machine and there is absolutely no pleasantries and you sit on a stool over a bench. Considering how much that hotel charges and the fact it isn't a central location I am pretty shocked. We spent our last 2 days in paris in a more central hotel with a bigger room, better breakfast and nicer staff for the same price. Don't bother with BLC it won't enhance your holiday one bit and if you try to complain they will hold you to ransom which just spoils your experience of being on holiday.

Overall we had a nice stay. I was travelling with a friend and we booked a twin room. We arrived around 10.30pm an were checked in promptly. The receptionist was perceptive enough to ask if we wanted a hairdryer for the room. The rooms were very basic, but clean. Disappointingly there were no tea or coffee facilities. There was however a bottle of water for each of us on arrival in the room. The shower and sink / vanity area was a little unusual in that it was only separated from the bedroom by a shower curtain. The wc was in its own separate cubicle. Not ideal if you are travelling with someone you don't know particularly well! Breakfast was a buffet in the reception area which we skipped as we felt some of the cafes nearby would have better atmosphere.

I loved this hotel..close to everything..transport, cafes, restaurants. Very clean, staff are lovely and helpful. Breakfast is an extra 13 euro a day but worth it. Rooms serviced everyday. Best thing is checkout is noon, so unless you have an early departure it is great not to have to rush!

Last October I travelled to Paris with my son and stayed at BLC Design Hotel. I returned this October with my husband. The hotel is so well situated. It is located on a quiet street steps away from a main road, two metros and many restaurants. It is perfect for visiting sites during the day and returning at night to eat and drink at one of many local restaurants. The staff are very kind and will help with whatever you need to have a great vacation. Just be sure to ask. The rooms are very clean and well organized. I made use of the many hooks and side table to organize my belongings. The waterfall shower was so wonderful at the end of each long day. Breakfast of course was delicious and we always took a second cup of coffee up to the room to get ready. The staff wants you to have the little extras, such as taking a wine glass to use with your own bottle of wine, etc. I suggest taking a few hours to wander around the area during the day. We found quaint little shops (leather and wooden items) and amazing restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Next year when we go, we will spend more time around the hotel. Try out La Belle Equipe (busier) and A la Table d'Atila (quieter). Both are located on Rue de Charonne. Start a conversation with locals and wait staff.

Hotel is good for for friends or couples. Room was small but good enough for short stay. It is very clean hotel, near to metro station, local coffee shops, patisseries...It takes 20-30 min to reach all amenities.

I have to admit I was pretty impressed with this room and the price we had paid for it. We came to Paris for a weekend break and found this hotel to be just what we needed! Quiet barely any noise and stylish! I found the shower separate from the toilet a bit different however I've seen this many times in European countries and now it doesn't faze me as much. Room service was done everyday and provided with fresh towels. Couldn't fault this at all. Also great location however to all sites via uber!

I had a really pleasant stay of almost a week in this hotel in a cold february Paris I really enjoyed the white pureness of the room, the kindness of the hotel's staff, the absolute cleanliness (every day I was pleased by a fully mirrored bathroom and shower without any stain and a white floor without any footprint). Even the area is comfortable and offers a really huge range of this upcoming new Paris bistrot style like Septime, Paul Bert, Dauphin, Chateaubriand...). You easily reach la place d'Aligre, la Bastille, Merci, le Marais by walking and even several Metro and bus lines are nearby. À recommander!

Beautiful hotel with friendly welcoming staff modern interiors with clean rooms excellent choice for getting around the city and checking out real Paris ask at the front desk for details of the best places to find vintage clothes Lots of cafes and restaurants filled with young fashionists GREAT HOTEL excellent rooms

Beautiful, comfortable, quiet, great transport links, nice location with good restaurants and bars close by and with very professional and courteous staff. I would happily recommend the hotel to anybody visiting Paris.

Fast check-in with all the information I needed, very clean room with a very comfortable bed, nice shower with good water pressure. The room is small, but not super small. Location is pretty good, about a block away from a metro station and surrounded by bars, cafes and bakeries. Only problem is that the WiFi was pretty bad -- slow and unreliable.
