location was good but Ac was broken so it was like sleeping in a closet, couldn’t get any air circulation, i talked to receptionist about it and he just shrugged, it made me upset that he didn’t care at all, so i won’t be back!

Simple but effective stay in a really good area of Paris. Simple accommodation no doubt, but conveniently located by many dining options, public transportation and a short stroll to the Seine.

The hotel is an old property but well maintained and run. The staff are helpful and friendly and for us, this hotel was perfect. It’s located close to the Metro with many bars and cafes also close by and easily walkable to attractions like Notre Dame.

We had a great time in Paris. Hotel Castex is very good. The staff is very friendly, and the location is very convenient. However, the bedrooms are very small. If you have a lot of luggage, it will be difficult to fit them in the bedroom.

1 minutes walk to lots of cares/restaraunts nice busy area just around the corner ,but very quiet peacefull side street the hotel is on.nice clean rooms ,freindly helpfull staff.15 minute stroll to notre dame cathederal.breakfast wasn't very good but that's not a problem as you only need to walk 1 minute around the corner and you are spoilt for choice for nice breakfasts.i would definitely recomend this hotel and would stay here again and the complimentary bottle of red wine was a nice touch whent down well😋

Great part of Paris

Let me start out by saying my fiance and I loved the hotel itself. The decor was wonderful, very warm, rustic with wood accents. The staff was polite and helpful, the breakfast buffet was amazingly fresh, bed was comfy and showers spacious. Everything was super clean. One massive negative note. All this is located in a sketchy neighborhood. Let me explain. It’s in a predominantly Turkish, Arabic neighborhood where the people there openly ogled my soon to be wife like they wanted to either buy her or rape her. Don’t leave your lady unattended here! The hotel area has several “adult entertainment” businesses nearby and we walked by several sex shops with big displays of dildos in the window. Not cool if you have kids walking with you, you will be doing lots of explaining. It’s close to Marianplatz so that was nice. We enjoyed our stay but would probably not return bc of the neighborhood.
