This is just an average Hotel, it is well located particularly if you are about to board a cruise ship or get a ferry out of there. Our room was spacious and clean. Only had breakfast there on one day, the service?was slow the hot food was cool at beat and I had to ask for a steak knife to cut the toast.

We stayed here post-cruise, and check-in was a nightmare. The entire lobby was filled with luggage for hours. The staff was very nice and patient, and tried to accommodate the many people waiting. The hotel is located quite close to the cruise ship port, and right across the street from the ferry port, so it is convenient. However, our only view was of the ferry port. The air conditioning in our room was completely inadequate. The temperature never got less than 10 degrees above what it was set for. We heard complaints from many other guests also. Thankfully we travel with venty fans - they were a life saver. The hotel offers very few amenities. Apparently there was a nice patio area off the first floor, but we were never told about it. This hotel is okay as a short stop over pre- or post-cruise, but there are many better options a little further out.

The Hotel is smaller with eclectic design. Room was large and included an efficient kitchen. Shampoo/Soap dispensers were hard to use and difficult to pump anything but a drip or two. Overall, the staff was friendly.

It was kitschy, but that's the best I can say. The biggest issue was poor air conditioning. It was hot all around the property, especially my room, which was 25.5 C / 79 F and despite complaining about the air conditioning numerous times, the lowest they could get my room was 24.5 C / 75 F. Terrible. Very uncomfortable. The hallways were even worse. Staff could not move me to another room because they said the hotel was full. Didn't offer anything, not even a free breakfast. Otherwise, the kitsch is appealing to the eye, but not functional in the rooms - shelves too narrow and placement of fixtures, furniture and outlets awkward. Only 1 small elevator, which was a pain standing in a hot hallway waiting. I won't be recommending this place or returning.

Our room had a small kitchenette along with some utensils. We didn't cook, and we did utilize the coffee and tea. The blackout curtains are helpful, however the lights on the balcony still leaked around the corners of the curtains. The coffee shop downstairs made good coffees. The croque monsieur left a lot to be desired - triple decker bread and very thin layers of cheese and meat. Staff is very pleasant and enjoyable. My wife could hear the people upstairs, I wasn't bothered by them. While there is some street noise (we were on the street facing room), it was not very loud and the double sliding doors to the Juliette balcony serve both to reduce noise and heat. Generally a clean and tidy property. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice room in an excellent location right across from the ferry terminal to Moorea and a 5 minute walk to the cruise ship terminal. It has a nice restaurant upstairs and a rooftop bar. It also has a nice outside seating area on the first floor with a kitchen to make tea/coffee and fill up your water bottles. It's conveniently located within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

Our stay went really well! We checked in a little later than expected around 10pm due to a long wait time at customs in the airport. The staff gladly and nicely checked us in to our Tahitian Home (Ocean Side) Double that had a beautiful view even if it was a little cloudy from rain. Drinks were provided in the fridge for purchase. The shower was beautiful and big with a rainfall shower head and nice smelling body wash and shampoo. The breakfast was by far the highlight of the stay, everything was fresh and delicious. I’m still thinking about the french toast and croissants! They had anything you could want at breakfast including fresh local pineapple and mango juice. I also loved how close to the ferry the hotel was. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone!

We only stayed at the Kon Tiki Tahiti for 1 night, but that was not a great stay. We arrived to check in and everyone had to hand over their passports to be individually checked in to our 2 rooms. Once we got to our rooms, I called down to the front desk to ask if we needed to make a reservation for the restaurant upstairs. She told me no, we could just go on up when ever we wanted. At around 6:30 pm, the four of us in our party went up stairs to have some dinner, and the host told us that they were completely booked all night. Frustrated, we made our way back down, after waiting through several elevators packed full of people. The neighborhood around the hotel is not the nicest, or safest. When we finally got back to the hotel after some dinner in the city, we spent all night listening to the booming sounds from the nightclub next door. No sleep. Would not recommend.
