There was some delay in getting the code prior to checking in (even though it was a late check in) which made us feel unsafe waiting outside in the dark with little lighting. We ended up fidgeting with the lockbox and found it opened up easily to get the keys. We all felt uncomfortable with this, given the area. The owner did finally contact us with the code after we reached out through the app - just wish he emailed it earlier and prior to check in time as an earlier email suggested he would. There were other things that flagged our stay as not being the most clean set up - but the accommodations did get us through the night and in time for the ferry right across the street, for that we are grateful.

We needed help with our stay and the host was not available. I would not book with this host again. I messaged the host multiple times and they never responded for my request for help. I needed to escalate to VRBO to get any communication through to the host. It still took multiple days for the host to reply to VRBO. Even after that I could not get any communication directly from the host.

Very pleased with the apartment. It has been updated to a very comfortable standard. Very clean and neat. The area around the apartment is industrial and a little intimidating but safe for walking. It is a bit hard to find. It is across the Street from the ferry terminal and behind the building with the word “SNACK” written in red out front. The hosts are very nice and very accommodating.
