Aristocratic, elegant business oriented hotel closed to Panama finacial sistrict. Very comfortable hotel, nice looking restaurant, fantastic breakfast buffet, local beer selection, fascinating outside pool with poolbar Relaxing atmosphere, reliable and discrete personnel, imperious architecture. My house in Panama!

Stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in Panama City for six days. I have a fairly good feel for hotels in Latin America and I would say this ranks pretty high for luxury and I felt the rate was really reasonable. Hotel is right on the ocean in the downtown area with great views of the city skyline and ocean. The hotel itself is clean and appears to be well maintained and has marble and other aesthetics that make it visually appealing. Pool area is beautiful although you do get some sound from the cars on the street out front. My room was clean and quiet on the 15th floor. Fairly spacious with a walk in shower. The real strength of this property however in my opinion is not visual appearance but in a highly trained and efficient staff. The bartenders in the lounge quickly learned what I was drinking and the moment I walked in recognized me and knew my drink of choice. The waiters in the restaurant were efficient and courteous. However when I experienced extremely poor treatment from Gamboa Tours who are actually based at this hotel. The Concierge Erika Mora quickly and efficiently booked an with an alternate tour company to see the Panama Canal. I was impressed.

My room was very well equipped and clean, coffee maker was better than normal and bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and meals in the restaurant were high quality. Pool area was clean and relaxing. Great location with view over the harbour (nice at high tide) and short walk to the old city

The is nothing not to like about this hotel. Rooms, breakfast, location, employees, etc. Looking out to the ships lined up in order to enter the canal was special. The breakfast bar had a huge variety of foods to choose from, one item more yummy than the next.

The staff were accommodating and responsive, the hotel was beautiful, parking was easy (!!!), the included breakfast was delicious and such a deal. And we loved the pool! We would definitely come back!

This hotel worked perfectly for three generations exploring Panama City for the first time. The kids loved the huge pool and the breakfast buffet (ask for them to include it in your rate.) The adults loved the views over the water (ask for a high level with a view of the water.) The location was perfect to catch the hop-on-hop off bus and to visit neighborhood Italian restaurant La Posta.

We stayed in this hotel for a week. It is a nice hotel in a good location. We got a room overlooking the pacific ocean which is really nice. We can cross the street and take a walk alongside the ocean. Our room has a nice view of the Casco Antigua, the Amador Causeway and the Panama City Skyline. We enjoyed free hot breakfast which is nice as part of our accommodation. I always enjoyed the cappuccino they prepare to order and the fresh croissant. We also tried their breakfast buffet in their restaurant downstairs and they have a great selection of food to be had. It’s just that you get to eat more than you would want because they are really good. They got a nice big pool outside the restaurant. The hotel is close to major streets and it’s easy to take a taxi or Uber or even the Metro buses if you are up to it.

One of the iconic hotels in Panama city is the Intercontinental which is on the ocean front with marvellous views over over the sea and the causeway. It is about 20 minute drive from the airport and just a short walk from business quarters and a short drive from the old town. The interior design is colonial with dark wood. They have a very big and nice pool area as well as a big gym and a Spa. There is a nice club lounge on the 5th with breakfast and evening canapes as well as an all day offering with soft drinks and coffee. The rooms are spacious with big bathrooms and functional but the furniture and decor could do with an update as it is a little dated. Overall a great hotel with a great size pool and one of the better club lounge offerings.

Even though we only stayed for one night, the Intercontinental Miramar, in Panama City, Panama, met all our expectations of a first class hotel. We were about 30 minute Saturday morning ride from the airport and close to shops and restaurants that would interest the tourist. Our room over looked a marina which was a nice view from the eleventh floor. Our room was large and squeaky clean. We ate in the hotel at a buffet that was set up for our group. The food was good and plentiful and the waiters were helpful and an asset to the hotel. Without any doubt, I recommend the Intercontinental Miramar if you are in Panama City.

The hotel has major highways to the front an rear so strolling along the extensive promenade requires detours by crossing the few pedestrian road bridges. The dining room seemed exceptionally cold, not conducive to relaxing dining, and the buffet food selection was unfortunately uninspiring. Our bedroom (705) overlooked the bay, but was just above the rooftop of the small lift. Fortunately we were only staying one night, otherwise we would have changed room to avoid lift noises, the noisy fridge and the interconnecting door.
