Absolutely loved it. Spacious, walk-in closet private bathroom. Balcony and views were clutch, laundry all the aminities of home while on the road. Could not locate the iron tho but that really didnt matter.

Great Location

Start w/the good: The location was excellent, the elevators were fast & the fridge & AC were super cold. The wifi worked great and the in-unit laundry was a nice perk (bring your own detergent!). The pool was also nice w/lots of covered spaces & a bar for food & drinks. Now the not so good. The apartment looked great at first glance, but it became obvious it's in need of some updates/repairs. Even when fully closed there was still a gap at the top of the balcony door. The veneer was peeling off the bedroom furniture. The bathroom looked old & one of the sinks didn't drain. Bedroom TV didn't work. We arrived to no toilet paper in 1 bath & half a roll in the other. The house rules provided at check-in state it's intended for "independent" stays (e.g. buy your own TP), but nowhere does it say that in the listing when you book (it actually says TP provided). We were each provided 1 towel for a 3 night stay. Small hotel-type bars of soap were provided, but no soap tray. Kitchen had a small random selection of cookware - not sure a proper meal could have been cooked. They provided individual coffee but no filters for the coffee maker. No hot water. Never responded to our request to fix the TV & sink (but they did drop off toilet paper). The check-in process was also a hassle b/c they didn't send the check-in email until we were on our flight to Panama, which made the process difficult & time consuming once we arrived at the apartments. Just hotel it.

We spent a great time in this apartment. A beautiful ocean view, with a nice terrace. Very good communication with the host. 2 large bedrooms with their own private bathroom. The large bedroom has a beautiful view of the "rambla". In terms of amenities, the apartment is well-equipped and there is plenty of storage. Location wise, the place is perfect, on Balboa. The only downside, I would say, is that some of the furniture is old and damaged, and the host should replace it. It's not a big deal in itself, but it would make for a more comfortable stay.

Yoo Apartments in Panama City left much to be desired during my recent stay. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by a lack of hot water, which persisted throughout my brief visit. Despite informing the front desk upon returning from dinner, the issue remained unresolved by the time I checked out the next morning. The manager’s attempt to address the problem was unconvincing, as he insisted the water was warming up when it clearly wasn’t. This led to a frustrating exchange of him stating it’s warming up, when clearly it wasn’t and ultimately led to no resolution with me continuing check out. When I inquired about a refund, I was directed to Expedia, only to be informed later that my reason for checking out was deemed insufficient for reimbursement because there was always hot water in the apartment. This claim that the issue was resolved shortly after my departure added to the confusion and dissatisfaction. Especially when deemed as a liar. Overall, the communication and customer service at Yoo Apartments were disappointing. The handling of the situation felt dismissive and unhelpful, leaving me with a negative impression. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Yoo Apartments to others seeking reliable accommodations in Panama City.

Not so Yoo by Boutique Apartments

I have stayed at other apartments in the building as I am a regular vistor to Panama. The aprartment was fine and in-line with the others, with one exception. The bedroom had no curtains. This is awful if you need a dark room to sleep, like me. Even at night, the lights from the bank outside lit up the bedroom. I tried to contact customer service by all means possible (phone, email & Whatsapp), but no one returned my calls or messages.

Very nice Panama City Staycation

The Yoo Apartments are very nicely located and with lots of good dining and retail options around it. The amenities are ample, pool, gym, parking, beautiful food Deli, and three really nice restaurants on site. We thought we were booking a Ocean view unit, but at check in we found otherwise, that said the City view was nice. The apartment itself is quite spacious and simply but nicely furnished, it has a large balcony with city views, which is great at night, but no furniture. The king ( comfortable bed!) bedroom was large as well as the walking closet and double sink bathroom. Air conditioning worked very well, the apt has two TVs thou we didn't use them. The kitchen was of good size and w large fridge, there is also a small laundry room with washer and dryer which is convenient. I suggest that some kitchen utelcils, pots and pans need to be updated. We were happy with the experience and plan to visit Yoo apartments again. I may just make a point of connecting with the apartment manager before arriving to go over some details and manage expectations before arrival.

This property was easily accessible, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Uber and other transportation providers can easily locate the property and it is on a main thoroughfare. The elevators do come timely for the building to be so large, but they are dimly lit.
