Overall, my stay at Edgewater Beach Resort was enjoyable. However the time spent in the villa had its issues. The Emerald Beach Properties charged a $70 for a resort fee and parking pass. Upon arrival at the entrance gate to the resort, there was no parking pass assigned or paid. The resort employee stated I would need to talk to the resort manager to aquire a parking pass. The the resort manager stated no pass had been purchased for my stay and that I would be required to purchase a parking pass. They also stated this has been a consistent issue with Emerald Beach Properties customers.
When I notified Emerald Beach Properties, they promptly refunded the resort/parking fee.
The villa itself had a few issues. The kitchen light fixture was missing the cover and a bulb, the TV remotes did not operate the TV, there were stains on the carpet, the master shower leaked extensively onto the bathroom floor creating a fall concern and potential for long term water damage. I contacted Emerald Beach Properties to notify them of the issues/concerns. They scheduled maintenance to arrive during our stay at a time convenient for me. Unfortunately maintenance arrived, unannounced, almost 3 hours earlier than scheduled. I was not present and was alarmed to see someone had been in the villa without my knowledge.
Furthermore, maintenance only addressed 3 of the 7 issues/concerns. The most concerning issue, the leaking shower, was not addressed. End of available characters...
