We stayed here a couple of years ago and were very pleased with the room. We stayed in one of the rooms with a kitchenette and two beds. Everything was clean and the beds are amazing! We are staying there again this summer and really looking forward to it. The owners and staff are wonderful and very welcoming. Can't wait!
The first night we had a very nice remodeled kitchenette (which we didn't use). The room was clean and comfortable on the ground floor by the gazebo. The hot tub was great. We could do a load of laundry. On the weekends you can catch a shuttle to go downtown. We decided to stay another night, but had to change rooms. This one was partly remodeled. The bedroom was fine. The bathroom had a vanity with cigarette burns in it, but there was another larger newer vanity outside. The kitchenette was a separate room that was mostly empty. As others stated it seems it depends on the room that you get. Smokers can only smoke in the parking area.
Had an upstairs room. Very clean and comfortable. Would totally recommend this hotel. You have to keep in mind this is a 2 star hotel and if with this in mind its fantastic value. I enjoyed my stay immensely.
We stayed at this property twice in February. We booked a few months prior to our stay. Our first stay was for two nights. We were given the wheelchair accessible room. We did not ask for it, but that was what was available. The room was fresh and modern with a laminate floor. The bed was comfy and the room seemed quiet. The air conditioning worked fine. For the money the property met our expectations (4 out of 5 stars). After touring Arizona we returned to this property for 5 days. For this stay we had requested a kitchen unit. We were put up on the second floor facing the pool. Obviously this room had not been updated. Now we are pretty easy going people and I usually give people the benefit of the doubt but here are a few things I wish I knew before booking; The kitchen had one dinner plate, and few somewhat clean sandwich plates and a few cutlery odds and ends. No corkscrew for example. They did provide coffee mugs and glasses. The single cup coffee maker they in the kitchen made something, but it didn't taste like coffee. We went out and bought a $20 coffee maker so we could have coffee in the morning. The fridge, gas stove and microwave worked fine. We had to leave the water running for 5 minutes to get hot water in the kitchen (no lie). They did not provide a towel to dry dishes so we used a bathroom towel. No paper towels either. The bathroom was very outdated and worn. The bathroom window was crooked and did not close. Water pressure was good for about 1 minute and then faded away. The bed was good. The air conditioner would not stay on. We had set it so just the fan was running but it kept shutting off. This was a problem when our neighbors were having a heated argument and we could hear every word. The air conditioner would have drowned out the noise. I know the cleaning staff came in every day and gave the room a cleaning but overall it seemed grimy. This room I give 2 out of 5 stars. The pool and spa courtyard was very nice and quiet. The ice machine worked good. The folks running the hotel were very friendly. There are not a lot of eating choices within walking distance of the hotel. There is a trolley which you can take into town a few days a week. Parking in main park of Palm Springs was not difficult. "Ralph's" grocery star is a 5 minute drive away. If this hotel is going to keep renting out this room it MUST refurbish and modernize it. I have no idea how many other rooms at this property need this attention. To be fair, the cost of this room was $138 per night. A good price for Palm Springs, but still, minimum standards are expected. We stayed in 9 different hotels on this trip, all in the $130-160 per night range. This was by far the biggest disappointment. Despite my observations, I wish this property the very best and hope they are successful getting all their rooms upgraded and prosper.
Three adults, no children or pets (this time.) Place was clean, good value and we loved the kitchenette - didn't know that that was included. The distance to the airport was great as friends were flying in.
We picked this hotel because of its combination of good Trip Advisor reviews, its overall ranking, and the value. Don't make the same mistake! It was awful. From the moment we checked in I couldn't wait to check out. Where to start, was it the strong perfume smell from cheap cleaning chemicals? The thin sheets and towels that weren't clean and felt like sandpaper? How about the incessant chirping of a dying fire alarm somewhere on the property that beeped all night long? The way our room shook every time a door was closed on the lower floor? Hair on the shower walls? Or the bathroom that was caked with so many years of peeling paint that thought the walls were covered with stucco. On a positive note the staff was very warm, friendly, and welcoming. However, that won't be enough to get us to come back...EVER.
They have managed to update an old Motel into an old motel, The Room needed some serious work, Location was so so, The view from the room was of a stairwell, With that being said, The room was clean, The staff was Very Friendly and knowledgeable of the are with lots of good tips. Definitely a no frills place to stay..
My friend and I each took a room and although each it was pretty basic, we both found the rooms and premises very clean and quiet. We were especially pleased with Gus at the front desk, who was extremely friendly and helpful. We are seniors, and felt we were looked after by him.
Dated and in need of a good remodel. Room smelled from mildew and air condotioner noisy. Bathroom was awful. Stall shower 2ft x 2ft and mold on glass door. Found out after 2nd call to desk that mismatched faucets were reversed and hot was cold. Not enough parking. Ice maker had mold on it. Could not leave soon enough.
Our stay didn't start too well when we got caught in a flash flood, but that's another story !!! The motel unfortunately is in need of a good refurbishment. The beds were okay, but I'm glad we only booked a single night. Not likely to return.
