Knights Inn Palm Springs2.0 out of 5.0

Room is clean, quiet and safe, with good air con. Hardly luxury, but great value at $50 a night. Well located too. Only quibble was that the water pressure in the shower was poor which made it tricky to wash my hair.
The place is very cute and nice, but staff is not helpful at all. I forgot my jacket in the room and called one day later to inquire and they didn't return my calls nor answer my emails to answer my questions. They never found my jacket even if I know I forgot it on the bed, so clearly housekeeping must have taken it. Even after many calls, I didn't get any help from their side. Also, when we reached Knights Inn around 5pm, the temperature was too hot, the AC clearly wasn't turned on. In order to stay or sleep in the room, we had to leave it for a few hours. It's unfortunate the stay will be a negative memory for me, as I enjoyed the stay otherwise.
I was blown away by this place, it has a retro 60's feel to it that's actually really cool but the rooms were amazing !! beautiful decor, beautiful furniture and paint on the wall, this isn't your typical hotel, this place is great ! All staff were very friendly, the hotel is clean and the rooms were very clean. Super comfy bed, HUGE television, great wifi, really cool huge shower. All in all I cant say enough great things about this place, it's got tons of charm and I truly loved the furniture that felt super trendy and fashionable. Highly recommended !
The room wasn't bad, it was pretty average. I think what was more off putting was the bathroom. The water pressure was horrible and the floor in the shower looked pretty gross that we had to shower in flip flops. I'm sure it was clean but it looked pretty dang nasty. The pool was decent it just had a lot of the fall out from the palm trees. Would we stay here again probably not.
This was a very clean & quaint hotel. Outside does no justice for the simple but updated rooms. There is a clean pool and hot tub. The towels could be a little thicker but basic does the job. The staff is very nice. There are shopping areas close by and downtown Palm Springs is about 10 minutes away. Recommend
The staff worked to get a room that was better for my handicap mother. Then last night there were terrible winds that filled the pool with debris but the staff arrived at 8 a.m. and had it sparkling by noon! Perfect vacation!
I flew from Alabama to Palm Springs to meet my husband who is stationed at Twentynine Palms Marine Corps base. We loved this little Inn! My flight arrived a few hours before check-in, but the staff went ahead and let me get into the room and wait for my husband. The staff went above and beyond referring places to eat, things to do, and made sure we knew the buzz schedule. The inn is cute. The staff is friendly. The location is amazing.
Pride of ownership is evident here. From the care of landscaping to room cleanliness to friendly staff there is nothing lacking. I would have given an 'excellent' rating but for the few room issues I had. I realize the Motel is in the process of updating and perhaps room 30 is next. The room itself is great but the bathroom needs some sort of storage. There is a pedestal sink which is totally useless except in a powder room. There is nowhere to put your shaving kit and toiletries. There is a tiny soap dish in the shower (no tub) but no place for your own shampoo and body wash. One bath towel was nice and thick but the rest are pretty thin. I am guessing they are being upgraded. Both the beds have a mattress pad which is to be expected but the mattress is also wrapped in a vinyl/cloth pad. I absolutely hate these things. They're noisy and they make you sweat. The location of the Motel is great, on the southwest edge of the city. Easy access to everything. Plenty of free parking, nice pool and hot tub area. Poolside rooms are enclosed in a fenced in area and are secured with guest accessi only keys. We stayed four nights. I'd stay here again.
I booked a reservation to stay at the Knights Inn through Hotels.com for an educational conference for teachers. Due to the lack of funding in our school, we had to change the amount of nights we can stay for this conference. I contacted Knights Inn to make an adjustment to our itinerary and they said they are "unable to make any changes because of Hotels.com's policy." Soon after, I contacted hotels.com to make the adjustments. Hotels.com said that they would make the adjustments to our booking and provide me with a refund, but first they needed to get a release from the Knights Inn. Hotels.com spoke with a manager from Knights Inn and they refused to make the adjustment to the booking and refund me. This left me confused because just a phone call ago, Knights Inn told me that it was Hotels.com that was in control of my refund and booking.... From there, I called back Knights Inn and my call was repeatedly ignored. It is upsetting that there is no support for teachers and education.
Knights inn has been renovated inside and out. Very modern and CLEAN rooms. The best beds in Palm Springs. Slept like a rock. New frig. The pool area is CLEAN and in perfect working order. Our room (34) overlooked the pool area. Because we were in the pool area it had a security fence and gate so outside people couldn't just walk in around the rooms. The manger and employees were the best. Answered all our questions. You can catch the BUZZ right out front every 15 minutes to down town. Great place to stay. Don't let the fair price fool you.
