There was no desk chair, and front desk could not get one immediately. I was ok without it as there was another chair, but felt that this place was not well maintained.
Exterior and interior in major need of updates. However, the beds were clean and that was most important. Staff was nothing but helpful and courteous. The grounds around the building could use some pickup/haul off to improve exterior.
This place is a DUMP! That said, the beds were clean and comfortable.
Good location but it's a dump...............................................
Never told us that they were going to resurface parking lot. Stunk that night had to walk quite a ways with luggage upon check out. A/c not working in room house cleaning were good people.
I chose the hotel because of its proximity to the downtown part of Pagosa Springs. Unfortunately while I was there the main bridge and sidewalk were closed for reconstruction and I had to take a detour every day. As for the hotel the free breakfasts were very good and the staff was very helpful but I found the bed to be too soft and the phones didn't work at all. When I complained about the phones I was told that most people didn't care because they always used their cell phones. Nevertheless I think they should either fix the phones or remove them from the rooms.
Very close to the Springs! And quite. Beds are nice but room decor is a little dated. Overall, can't beat the location.
Nice location in Pagosa Springs, right across street from Hot Springs. Hotel is okay, layout is a bit awkward but they make the best of it. Heating was noisy and mattress needs to be replaced. Room was okay, large and spacious. Unfortunately not all the lights worked. Staff was very friendly and the barkeeper was fun to chat with. Drinks were good, free breakfast was okay.
A little dingy and rundown but the super friendly staff more than made up for any short comings.
Room was 2 star, not 3 star as shown on Orbitz. Sheets seemed clean as did the bathroom and sink. Went there to sleep, not watch TV.
We stayed here because I failed to make early reservations for the springs resort, and they too were pet friendly. First off, the lady at the front desk was tremendously friendly. Also, the location is directly across the street from The Springs which was great as well. Otherwise, the place was sub-par. You couldn't walk in the hallway without feeling like you were getting high, although there is a no smoking policy. Our rooms fridge didn't work and smelled horrible. There was no remote for the 20" tube tv with a barely visible picture. The air in the room was finicky as well as quite odorous. I will also add that it was nice that I could park my car within view of the room.
This is a good hotel if you want a standard, reasonably priced hotel in a great location in Pagosa. It is an older hotel, but clean with friendly staff. Right across the street from the hot springs, easy walk to restaurants, and a trail head right behind the hotel.
Hotel was not lit when we arrived at 8 pm. No signage anywhere showing the name of the hotel anywhere on the premises until you reached the lobby.(If I wasnt a CO native and been to pagosa before we would not of known where to go) Our room was in the second "south" building Room 148. The carpets looked like a cleaned up homicide, or someone decided to change their motor oil on them. The beds had a queen mattress underneath the queen mattress instead of boxsprings making the stay utterly pointless as if I wanted to sleep on the floor I could of slept in my truck for free instead. didnt even need the keys they provided to the room, if you pushed really hard on the door the lock mechanism bends and the door pops open....... The breakfast consisted of a pitcher of orange juice and a bowl of fruit in some makeshift dump lobby. Will be trying to get a refund. Its a real shame that this place has the perfect location across the street from the hot springs and is basically running a third world slum. Do yourself a favor and just camp or pay the hotsprings prices for a room or stay across town (west pagosa) at another location as this is utterly THE worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
Front desk was helpful and friendly. Room was clean. Shower and sink drained very slowly. Great location near the hot springs and wolfcreek. A little pricey for having the sink and shower backing up.
The rooms need updated interior especially for the price.
We booked this hotel last minute to ski Wolf Creek which typically has some of the best snow in the country. We were very happy with the hotel. It's no Waldorf but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The warm breakfast option was a great deal and perfect before setting out on a day skiing. The location across the street from the thermal springs capped off a great day on the slopes. In short, good value, great location, and an overall good experience.
The location of this hotel makes it worth while. It is in need of some remodel and upgrades but is accross the street from the hot springs so it is convenient and much cheaper that the Spring Inn.
