When you're on the road and want some rest, clean and quiet is what matters, The Comfort Suites in Oxford, Alabama delivers. I would stay here anytime I'm in the area and need a good night of peaceful sleep.
we checked in after traveling all day...feeling lucky to get a room....the room was fine even though both beds had one side up against a wall.....neither here nor there. I left an expensive Bamboo bed pillow there....called and asked it be sent to my home...was told the Mgr would call me back...but did they??????NO NO NO !!!!!! unacceptable. I posted on Social Media this had happened and was flooded by people saying they had similar situations and the hotels or motels always mailed their left behind items. I can't even get a return phone call and needless to say when returning home after a week of vacation...NO PILLOW in the mail either....my hope had been they had just mailed it home.
Room was clean. Fan and overhead light in bathroom didn't work. Commode ran unless you lifted the handle up. Breakfast was good. Eggs were not real. Coffee was good. Selection and quanity was sparce. Our room was located on the back of the building. We could hear 18 wheelers as they came down the road behind the hotel.
Hurricane Irma sent us 550 miles away into Oxford Alabama. This hotel was spotless thanks to a great staff and they were extremely friendly too. Everyone wished us the best and treated us like long lost friends. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
First impression, I wouldn't stay again. Wrong place, wrong time. Walk in to some type of little league event and greeted by a bunch of unruly kids running through lobby with no regard for those around them. I checked in at 3pm, it's now 11p and those unruly kids are running rampant through the halls knocking on doors. No apparent adult supervision. Hallways smell of mildew and must. Room hass a closed in, dusty smell. I wiped everything with lysol wipes and the room surfaces were dusty. Bathroom sink drains slowly, tub stopper broken, no towel racks in the bathroom. Stayed at the Laquinta in this same area last year, it was cheaper and much nicer unfortunately they were booked and this is what it is. I'm exhausted and hoping the beds are so comfortable I'll forget all my complaints by morning.
We decided to stop in Oxford on way home during a long vacation road trip and spotted this place after pulling off I-20. The staff was very professional and helped us get checked in quickly. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and we had a decent free breakfast before heading out the next morning. Wold definitely stay here again; very close to a lot of restaurants
The staff at this hotel are great. Very helpful with were to eat and enjoy yourself. Clean and comfortable and quite. Only down side breakfast is the mormal powdered eggs....etc. Coffee was good and fresh. Good places to eat all around hotel. Will stay their again. The Japanese Restaurant across the street name is Fugi....Great!
The hotel is just off US 20, and close to several restaurants and pubs offering late-night food and drink. It's nice to see more hotels providing microwaves and fridges as standard amenities; we were able to safely save our substantial leftovers from our dinner. Breakfast included hot items, and was kept well-stocked, although the employee assigned to that area never cracked a smile or made a pleasant remark. The room was clean and quiet, the bed comfortable, and there were plenty of outlets. We will definitely stay here again.
We booked through Trip Advisor and were in our room minutes after we pulled in. We were pulling a trailer and it was easy to park, get in and maneuver the parking lot. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was full because of a softball tournament but the staff made sure that the spacious breakfast area stayed clean and the bar stayed full of food.
We got in town at 2am. We were very tired from driving. My friend had hip surgery recently and needed a handicapped room. We stopped at two other hotels before this one and they were more expensive and had no handicapped rooms. Our room was so big and so nice and clean. I have traveled to many places and stayed in many hotels and this one is at the top. Very quiet. We stayed two nights and both night and day clerks very very helpful and had positive attitudes. Breakfast was great and the person overseeing it was very nice and announced that if we wanted anything else to get it before she cleaned up!! There are a lot of shopping opportunities and restaurants very close to this hotel!!
