Amy Lee was the breakfast host and she was wonderful. She ensured everything was clean and kept the food coming even though we were with a bus load of people. Room was as expected. Ice was hard to find since the sign had been removed from our floor.
We booked 2 rooms for an over night stay 8/11/17. The rooms were spacious and the bed comfy. There was a mini refrigerator and a microwave in each room. Both rooms and a overwhelming odor (similar to cigarette smoke$ that bothered our allergies. The breakfast TJ he next morning was excellent, offered a great variety, and offered plenty of seating.
My son and I stayed here for a 3 day business trip. Expecting to soak in the hot tub (as pictured on website) after a long day of meetings,we were very disappointed to see the pictures were WRONG...no hot tub...we were advised it had been removed 3 months previous.Deceptive and disappointing in my eyes...should have updated pics on website.Room was "upgraded" because of overbooking. One king and fold out couch bed is not really an upgrade in my eyes.Room was clean and breakfast was great and well maintained.
We stayed here for a tennis weekend. The front desk staff were nice and helpful, but the housekeeping staff were awful. First the good. Our rooms were nice: beds were comfortable, room was equipped with a refrigerator and microwave, bathroom had sparse amenities. There was an odor in the room we could not identify that we noticed when we first opened the door. Breakfast was plentiful with cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, bagels, breads, fresh fruit, yogurts, coffee, milk, make your own waffles, and juices. It was well stocked through out breakfast hours. The pool was small - good for a dip. There are many fast food places close by. Now the bad. We were at this hotel for 4 days, and our trash was never removed. We put our towels on the floor to be replaced, and they were never removed. We did get new towels, but no more soap or shampoo. The water in the shower was barely warm the last night we were there.
Checked into our room on the third floor and was overwhelmed with an odor like old dish rags. Determined that the smell was coming from the shower curtain. Went to the desk to report and ask for a new room and the front desk was very accommodating. The second room had a similar but less offensive smell and this also from the shower curtain. The next day we asked if the shower curtain could be replaced and was done so promptly. We did not check to see if the first room issues were addressed but the hotel was fully booked so I doubt it. The breakfast manager was very efficient and helpful. There was a nice selection of fresh fruit available and all items were replaced quickly. We stayed here last year and the same breakfast manager was here then. She does an excellent fob. The room was acceptable, nothing really wrong and cleanliness was good. Location is good though. Chic-fil-a right next door and other restaurants and a small mall are close. Other services were adequate other than having to walk through cigarette smoke from employees at the front door. Not bad, not good, just a fair place to stay.
We stayed here for a night for a baseball tournament. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Pool is in a small room that is very loudand echos if there is kids yelling or playing Only issue was that we had no hot water on the morning we checked out.It is in a good location around a lot of restraunts.
I booked this double queen room through the TripAdvisor site. After placing the guaranteed reservation, I called the property to confirm our stay prior to arrival and was happy to hear that we could get a lower rate by calling them directly, The representative was happy to help me make a new reservation that reflected the new rate and cancel the old one, which I really appreciated. We drove most of the day through pouring rain and were allowed to check in before the check-in time. We were pleased with our clean room and bathroom. It was free of bedbugs and other pests. The beds were quite comfortable with nice, fluffy pillows and fabulous comforters. After the rain finally stopped, we swam in the very nice salt water pool. When asked for additional washcloths, the front desk worker promptly delivered them right to our room. The only negative to report was the size and layout of the breakfast area. Although the food was very good, the serving area was quite small and hot. The steam tray and waffle irons heated the area to an uncomfortable temperature because the area was so small. It was also difficult to get food because the area was not conducive to more that two guests having access at any given time. All in all, we were pleased with this particular property, mostly because the staff were all so friendly and efficient and the room was just so nice. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for lodging in Owensboro.
The hotel was perfect for our group. We had eleven rooms booked and they put us all next to each other on the same floor. Most hotels don't do that. The lobby was very large and had private areas that allowed us to gather in the evening and hang out as a group. We can sometimes get loud and this lobby was set up so that we could not bother other hotel guests. The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. The only thing I would change is the double beds. If you are not used to sharing a double bed, it can feel crowded. Queen beds would be nice. The location was perfect. We walked across the parking lot to the Chik-fila. The breakfast was good and offered a variety of hot and cold items. There was coffee available 24 hours a day.
The hotel was full, so arriving late they gave me keys to a handicap accessible room. I was hesitant at first, but it was perfect! The bathroom had a large walk in shower and the location was ideal, right around the corner from the lobby, breakfast area and pool. The indoor pool area was nice and clean with everything in working order. Comfortable beds. The FREE, hot breakfast was basic but good, one day there was a vegetarian sausage offering...If I visit Owensboro again, I will check prices here. The location was ok, but not super close to downtown.
Great place to stay. Checking in was easy with friendly staff. Bed was extremely comfortable.Room clean! Restaurants close by. Breakfast was usual offered items. I would definitely recommend hotel for anyone to stay for leisure or business trip.
