The hotel was not full, but we were given a room that shared a wall with the elevators. Yes, we got to hear the elevators EVERY TIME THEY MOVED. We were already settled into the room so complaining and switching rooms at 10:30pm wasn’t done. Thankfully it was a one night stay. Additionally, the bathroom wasn’t very even had a used shower cap on the floor next to the toilet! The person at the desk when we checked out asked us how our stay was so we told her. She didn’t care about the noise or bathroom. Why ask if you don’t care? We expect better from a Marriott hotel. We won’t be back.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Check I. Was smooth as was reserving the room through the app. The staff was excellent. Room and bathroom were as expected and clean. The breakfast was better than expected. The eggs were freshly made and the sausage and ham were also good. We will definitely stay here when we come back to Owensboro.

We stayed at this hotel for an overnight for the kids to use the hotel swimming pool. This hotel did not disappoint. The indoor pool was a good size and the entire pool area seemed to be very well kept. I found it odd that there our rooms overlooking the indoor pool area. I would have no desire to stay in one of those rooms...but if you'd like to have a pool view I suppose you could request one at check in. The room was nice and everything seemed clean. The breakfast area was large with many seats and tables available. The day we were there they were serving scrambled eggs and Canadian bacon. Then all the usual cereal, waffle maker, yogurts, fruits, etc... You must try the chocolate breakfast bread! It was delicious!

We have been staying at this Fairfield for our youth group events in Owensboro for probably close to 8 years. They have always done an excellent job with our group. They work with me to get the rooms close together. The breakfast is always timely and the staff keeps everything stocked even with the crowd. If there is ever any issue with the room, they have immediately made things right. We will continue coming back.

This hotel was clean and served it’s purpose. Not much to say. It was in a good neighborhood at a decent price. Breakfast was your typical Hampton Inn fare. Nothing spectacular, but it is free food in the gut.

I have stayed here twice, first in August 2017 and then again at the very end of December 2017. My chief complaint is that housekeeping did not clean my room either visit, and the rooms do show general neglect overall (stains and/or rips in bedskirt and window treatments; poorly cleaned bathroom fixtures). Following my first stay, I attributed the lack of housekeeping to confusion following a fully booked hotel during the total solar eclipse. (I arrived the evening following the eclipse.) On my second stay, however, there were more problems. I had booked for two nights through the Marriott website. On the day between my two booked nights, I received a call from the front desk (around 4 p.m.) to "remind" me that checkout time had long passed. I was baffled and said that I was sure I had booked for two nights. The front desk clerk said that it was not a problem to book me for an additional night (not really hearing what I had just said). After hanging up, I immediately checked my phone for the e-mail confirming my two night booking. I called the clerk right back to say that in fact I had a second night already booked. Her response was something to the effect of "OK, no problem..." When I returned to my room later that evening, I was HORRIFIED to discover that housekeeping had packed all my toiletries and medications into my travel kit and had placed that in my suitcase in the room. (And the room hadn't been cleaned as of 6 p.m.) Who does this?! The purpose of my visit was to care for a relative who is unwell. At the time, I had bigger fish to fry, so to speak, so I did not express my frustration and dismay to the staff. I always try to be kind and understanding when mistakes such as these occur. Upon further reflection, though, I recognize that this sort of incompetence reflects on poor management, and I will not be returning to this hotel (even though my regular visits to Owensboro require me to find lodging). I can't trust a facility that did not manage to clean my room during 2 out of 2 stays. I did receive a follow-up survey following my first stay but not my second. Had I been contacted by the hotel, I would have given this same feedback. One more big deficiency: during my second stay in December, when temperatures were extremely cold (and pavement might have been icy), there were no parking lot lights on whatsoever. I mentioned this to the front desk, but I have no confidence that the issue was taken any further. It was pitch black apart from any light coming from nearby businesses. Is that safe? How did the nonfunctioning lights escape the hotel staff's attention? Again, this reflects poorly on management. Something just isn't right. [In all fairness, I will say the bed was comfortable and up to the brand's standards. The bedding appeared very clean. Also, breakfast is perfectly acceptable, and the breakfast staff (one woman whom I saw on both visits) was as friendly as could be.]

I'm visiting my daughter in Owenboro. I had not made reservations but they had rooms available. Staff was friendly. Hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a nice variety. Definitely would recommend.

Very nice hotel. Bed was super comfy. Great water pressure. Very clean room. Very friendly staff, Lakesha checked us in and was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, well maintained, clean area and there were a lot of choices. Location was good for us. We had a great night sleep. Only problem we had was we didn't realize we were next to the pool, we were on the second floor. There were children playing in this pool, there was a lot of screaming from the children, which I understand but didn't want to have to listen to. So we went down and talk to Lakesha to get a different room that was not along the pool. Would stay here again.

We had a family emergency and had to stay in Owensboro. I was impressed with this hotel. Other hotels I checked didn't offer free breakfast so I booked this hote because they did include breakfast. The breakfast was really good and they offered more options than most hotels I've stayed at. The young brunette girl who worked in this area was very pleasant. She made sure everyone had what they needed and made sure food never ran out. I never seen her stop, very good employee. Check in was easy and the hotel had a cute retro but modern look. Our room was clean and pleasant. The blue walls in the room gave it a better feel than many hotels. Very pleasant stay and would recommend.
