"The room was nice overall, with a clean interior and a very nice view. However, the shower pressure was poor, and the shower head was loose and leaking where it connected inside the wall. It also would not adjust properly through all of the available settings. The room also had enough space for a small two-person table, which would have been a nice addition for eating meals or having coffee in the morning. In addition, the railing on the outside balcony could use a fresh coat of paint. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful overall, with the exception of one male employee working the night shift during our stay. We were trying to locate a luggage cart, and although there were supposed to be two assigned to our building, we could not find either of them. When I called the front desk to ask about it, the employee told us that our building did not have any luggage carts available, which was frustrating and not very helpful. The housekeeping staff worked hard and were polite, but there appeared to be a language barrier at times. When we asked for clean towels, there was difficulty understanding the request, which made communication challenging. Other than those issues, the room was clean and the view was excellent."

"Overall it was nice the only complaints I have is when I want ocean front views I want beach with the ocean not just the ocean.I paid $150 a night to see the beach and the ocean and that’s what I expected. Breakfast was ridiculous, I just wanted yogurt and fruit not to be hit with a menu of omelette and how do you want your eggs cooked. What in the world was the luggage carrier all about? The staff was extremely friendly."

"Our first visit to the Outer Banks was enhanced by our accommodations at Shutters on the Banks. The room was very clean, the staff was respectful, and the amenities very convenient and helpful. We will definitely return to SOTB on our next trip to the OB!"
