RIHGA Nakanoshima Inn – OSAKA This was adequate inexpensive 3 star hotel room for 1 comfortable enough bed and really clean linen. Bathroom well maintained. The price was great 60.00AUD for the night and I was only staying one. Central Osaka closest subway station is Higobashi and the hotel is right there on the corner. It’s a little unassuming and that is a feature. Vending machines with hot and cold drinks on every floor – super simple efficient and fast check-in and check-out. For a quick visit or just a sleep & shower this is good. Quiet clean and well kept !
Stay for 2 nights before flying back home. Hotel is easy to reach and a lift to underground train station is just inside next building. Have a convenience store just next to the lobby and Matsuya restaurant chain just across the street. Overall good value. Rooms is a bit dated but clean as per Japan hotel standard. The only problem is just need a transfer at Umeda if coming/going to Shin Osaka station. Also need to walk 15 minutes inside Namba to transfer to Namba Nankai line going to/from KIX.
Very clean and tidy presentation. Close to public transport - subway station 1 min, 1km walk to JR Osaka station. Two convenience stores at ground level. Rooms are neat, tidy and well equipped. Beds are quite firm but comfortable. All non smoking floors. Staff friendly and helpful. WiFi included but very poor - difficult to even web browse. Overall pleasant stay.
As I am travelling on my own - location is the most important when selecting hotels. RIGHA Nakankshima Inn offers what I need. 1. Location - subway Higobashi station - exit from ex.10 and right on your left when you get out approximately 20 steps away right opposite to Starbucks. As I arrived after midnight I had to take the bus to Namba and caught a cab to the hotel which cost ¥1000 which is reasonable. Otherwise you can either catch the Rapid Train to the city and change to subway from there. 2. Room is good enough for one person and comfortable although I prefer a larger pillow. Bathroom is equipped with combined shower and tub. Not sure if they have larger rooms for couple travellers. 3. Staff are friendly and always at your service. They remember your name and face. 4. Convenience store next to reception - always nice to be able to get a snack and drink real quickk
Pretty central location on the Yotsubashi line, right next to Higobashi metro station. The location makes it really great. Good rooms, good breakfast, internet etc. Nothing fancy. It has a convenience store attached to it. Quite next to it, there is a Japanese style restaurant & a Star-bucks as well. Staff was also pretty helpful with subway maps, directions etc.
We stayed at the RNI for 3 nights. We were travelling as a group of 7 and booked a double room (for hubby and myself). At first we thought it was extremely small but compared to other places ie Best Western Tokyo it is a better than average size. I would still suggest upgrading to larger room or twin if an older couple as bed is against wall and theres not a lot of walkway around bed especially with luggage. The service was better than average and staff are helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast was good with a range of food to satisfy most tastes. Subway exit is right beside building and very convenient. When you go through Higobashi subway exit turn right and follow the walkway to exit 10. (If you find stairs leading out of station your going the wrong way) take the elevator up and cross the stoplights/zebra crossing at elevator exit ... your there 😆 The rooms were clean and comfortable and i found the bed and pillows quiet comfortable. The convenience store attached is great and has a range of snacks and prepared meals at cheap prices. We had no problem with wifi.
The bearings and skates stayed in the Rihga Royal in late June 2016 and we were very glad we did. Our travel requirements are simple. This isn't a travelers hotel as much as a business hotel (I assume) and the accommodations are therefore mixed and serve for both. There's a convenience store downstairs. A 7-11 around the corner. A very excellent sake bar not too far away. Early morning street cleaners. A waterfront. Not too far of a walk from the Basho shrine (actually bearings reminds me definitely too far in the heat since we got very lost and nobody knew where the Minami Mido Namba Betsuin Center for Companions on the Way actually was because showing off an old copy of and English edition of the master's poetry just doesn't cut it.) Stay there if you don't need to roll out of bed and fall into the gutter of nightlife or if you cannot afford the price (understandable, of course).
A typical, basic Japanese hotel, there wasn't much space inside the room. They made it up however by making up the room every day, maintaining cleanliness and providing courteous service with English Speaking receptionists who made efforts to help me with my Japanese ! The hotel location nonetheless is very convenient - just a minute walk to Higobashi station. Its lovely to walk about in Osaka and this Hotel was right in the middle of everything. I spent considerable time at the Park, close to the hotel, observing typical Osaka city dwellers spend their day. Several convenience stores downstairs and nearby eateries make up for the room size. I would consider staying at this hotel !
The hotel location is very convenient, just 1-min walk to Higobashi station (1 station from Umeda area). Besides, there are 2 convenience stores downstairs where you can buy your late-night snack/ breakfast there. There are also nice eateries nearby. However, there was not much space inside the room, and the huge (with the size of a 20~22-inch suitcase) but useless humidifier had made the room even more cramped. The biggest problem is that the pillows were not comfy (it seemed that the pillows were filled with dried beans) and I could not sleep well. I believe that my impression for this hotel could be greatly improved if they changed the pillows to comfy ones.
Rihga Nakanoshima Inn is located in a strategic location. There are 24 hours convenience stores and food outlets around the hotel. Starbucks is right in front of the hotel. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. Towels, pillow cases and bed sheets are changed every day. Staff speaks English and they have ready maps to guide you around Osaka .Very friendly accommodating staff. There is a good spread of Western and Japanese dishes at the breakfast buffet every morning. If you are coming from Kansai International Airport taking the Airport Limousine bus (buy return ticket if stay is less than 14 days) to Herbis Osaka bus terminal. Then catch the train on purple Yotsubashi line from Nishi Umeda station to Higobashi station. Use exist 10 for elevator or walk up stairs at exist 2. I will definitely stay in this hotel on my next visit to Osaka and also introduce it to my families and friends.
