This is not by any means a luxury place. But the rooms are spacious enough and the location great if you want to visit Osaka and Kyoto without having to pay Kyoto prices, which can easily be twice as high. To get there, if you have been traveling on a shinkansen, you go from the Shin-Osaka shinkansen station to the Osaka train station and then take the Osaka loop line to Morinomiya ststion. You exit the station and cross the street to the Osaka Castle park. You walk about one and a half kilometer towards the NHK and police headquarters buildings and you are almost there. It's just a bit farther down. The walk across the park is very nice. And then you know the way back to get Shin-Osaka station and to Kyoto, which is less than an hour away by bullet train.

We stayed here for three nights. Room is clean and quiet, well equipped with coin launderette in basement which is handy. Good location, 5 minutes walk to nearby subway station, for train to Dontonbori and Osaka Aquarium. 10 minutes walk to Osaka castle. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Room is spacious and clean. Hotel location is very near the train station as well as the famous Osaka Castle. We stayed at the Lutheran Hotel for four while we were vacationing at Osaka from Kyoto. While weather at that time was very cold, the hotel has a heater that kept our stay very comfortable. Will certainly be back!

The hotel was located only a few minutes walking from the metro stop and as we walked to it we could see views of Osaka Castle. A nice modern hotel, the room was lovely and clean and the staff were very friendly.

Excellent location ( Exit 1B for elavator ) ,nearest to subway, Osaka-jo ,NHK , Japan Mint and others. The room was too small for family , it smaller than my expectation but very clean. The breakfast was ok.

Sufficient room space, convenient and extremely close to Osaka park. Close by to metro station. Excellent breakfast. Will definitely consider to stay here if I return. Friendly staff and clean premise.

Overall very nice hotel, but the WiFi has to be reset every hour or so. Many US websites blocked (e.g., MUST only use Japanese version!) Rooms adequate, breakfast excellent and varied day to day.

Clean, unembellished room is, to my pleasant surprise, relatively very spacios in Osaka. Also, well-maintained by GRANVISTA Hotels&Resorts co.,Ltd, which is a hotel chain managing Sapporo Grand Hotel etc.. Location is near to the Osaka Castle. And also it takes only 3-5 min. walk from Tanimachi-yon(4)chome Stn. on underground Tanimachi-line. It means, you can easily get to Umeda and Tenma Greengrocer's Market. Tenma Market Area, southeast side of Tenjinbashisuji-roku(6)chome Stn. is a fun area to go bar-hopping between densely packed 100s of unique Izakaya. Locals call there "bini-shi dori (transparent-clear plastic sheet street)". Enjoy Sake, Beer, Wine etc. and also find out why.

Plus points to this hotel. It withstood an 5.2 earthquake tremor - admittedly the epicentre was some hundred and fifty kilometres away in the Wakayama are, but certainly was a weird sensation as my 10th floor room gently shuddered! Location to Osaka Castle and Park is excellent. Also there is a subway entrance 1 minute walk from the hotel which connects you easily to the rest of the city. Generally the hotel is clean and rooms are a decent size. Negative points - I had amended my booking to a non-smoking room, but on checking in this was honoured. At first the hotel seemed inflexible but after some protest I was upgraded to a larger smoking room - there was still the slight musty smell of smoke but I put up with it otherwise it would have meant the hassle of changing rooms the next day.. Overall a good stay

I really liked this hotel. The location is great, right by the metro and very close to Osaka Castle. The hotel was a standard corporate style hotel, but it was clean and comfortable and had helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was ok, plenty of options both Japanese and western. I would recommend it.
