Old but quite comfortable. Liked the porch - not the bathroom.

Thus historic property is 100 years old, quaint, clean and mold free. Very amenable staff that enjoy what they do and go out of their way to help. The area around it is walkable, upscale, lots of eateries shops filled with college students with colleges nearby. It is surprisingly like Coral Gables, Carmel or Bronxville, NY including its commuter train which you will hear. They have ear plugs and white noise machines are available. It has city noises like you wound expect in an European hotel. It was about a 30 minute commute to the smaller Sanford airport.

I liked that they brought up your continental breakfast to your room as soon as you called for it -- very fast service! I also liked the quaint lobby and the staff was very pleasant. I didn't like that the morning we checked out there was no hot water to take a shower and although there was a very nice apology, no adjustment was made to my account because they said I had already received a "discounted rate" thru the online service. Even at the discounted rate I expect hot water.

The hotel is quite old and well kept. The biggest asset is the location where there are so many dining/shopping choices within easy walking distance.

Charming property with a great location and tranquil.

Wonderful old school hotel with plenty of charm. Excellent location within walking distance of dozens of shops and restaurants.

My wife and I live in Orlando but stayed here for a local romantic getaway. Charming hotel in a great location. It reminded me of some if the Inn's I've stayed in while traveling through Europe. You will need the ear plugs they provide for the trains in the morning but if you love trains, that's a bonus.

Charming and historic atmosphere. Very friendly. Fantastic balcony view with breakfast. Will return. Great location.

Outstanding location. Lots of charm. Rooms have paper thin walls, you hear everything from the hallway and adjoining rooms. Tiny bathroom with poor water pressure. Continual breakfast was inedible, giant dry croissants. Weak coffee, processed o j. Train wakes you every time it goes by during the night. .

The balcony was great; the web site listed restaurant and bar; there was none on the property misrepresented

The property is quaint in a period building. Very pretty lobby. Staff is excellent. Room is basic but nice for the age of the building. Beware that this property is right next to the railroad station and you will definitely hear trains blasting their warning horns all night. Also the walls are thin in this building (it is older) so if you are next to noisy people it will make for an unpleasant stay (we left early). You should ask for a room street side to avoid being close to the train station and if you have a noisy neighbor call the front desk and ask for a room change.

The Hotel is unique and the location is excellent, parking is a bit of a challenge since this is downtown Winter Park, however there are parking spots behind the hotel for guests and there is a pay lot connected if those spaces are taken.

This is a very special place, with a level of luxury, character and personal service that transports you to an earlier era. I would have expected the rates to be much higher than they were. Really memorable.

Beautiful hotel. Great location. Wonderful staff. Excellent service.

Yes, the trains do pass by. But the historic nature of the building, the friendly and helpful staff and exposed brick wall in our room more than make up for those trains. The location is perfect for walking to many of the must-see stops in Winter Park, not to mention the nearness of the great restaurants and shopping! While the bath and rooms are not as spacious as modern bland hotel rooms, this is a charming place with a very cool old elevator. Warm croissants for breakfast delivered to the room are a plus.
