I found this place while moving from one property to another that wasn't ready yet. Decent sized rooms, so-so decor but acceptable. Dated but doable, price was a tad bit much especially for the type of folks I seen occupying the rooms but the location is spot on for restaurants, stores, gas and shopping mall.
I was looking for a fair price place to stay for a month and found this name on Internet. The welcome was friendly, but that was the last good thing I can remember from this place. Once I got room key I was shown where to pass to get to the room. The way towards the room was so filthy I thought I got the wrong way to the room. The room was smelly and stuffy, with old beds and seats seriously stained. I paid for 2 nights but fled after only one.
The front desk had no social graces upon arrival and was overpricing the room after another was advertised, no interest in finalizing business in a positive tone. We move to the one next door that had updated rooms for $20 per night more affordable and considerate.
We came from Germany and were on holidays. Never saw such a bad place before and we stayed several times in the US. We had to stay there since no rooms were available in the whole Orlando and Tampa area because of a holiday weekend and Daytona race. For this reason they charged $550 per night for a room which isn’t even worth $50. We call this modern robbery. Room smelled bad, furniture was old, would never use refrigerator or microwave, not clean. Next morning we even saw other guests using their own pillows. The air condition was so loud, that we could hardly sleep. Even one star is too much. Never stay in this motel when you are not in trouble finding someplace else to stay.
When I arrived to check-in, I was told that the motel was being renovated and that the rooms that myself and my business partner took were the last ones available. I don't know what the renovated rooms will look like, but the un-renovated rooms are the pits! Carpets in the rooms were throughly stained and nasty. The rooms smelled and the furniture was not matching in either the room or the motel. And...I killed 3 roaches in the in-room fridge on the first night! Any hotel in the area, is probably better than this one...and I am holding back!
Unfortunately when I was evacuated during hurricane Irma this was the last hotel I could find that was available. I had to send my dog to a home that she'd never been to who was out of the threat zone because the hotel refused my 4 pound dogs I had to put a deposit down for the TV remote control. There was no coffee maker in the room or ice bucket. As far as ice goes the machine didn't work. There were tiny ants EVERYWHERE. No phone book or any type of advertising for local food or anything. There was a microwave and refrigerator but the refrigerator didn't stay closed so I had to prop something in front of it to keep it closed. There was 1 light for the entire room. And it didn't have a lampshade and only worked when it wanted to. All in all I would NOT recommend this motel to anyone!! Unless shelter from a hurricane.
Cigarette burns in the bedspread, Poopy streaks the toilet, charged $15 more upon checking in that I was quoted. This is just within the first fifteen minutes of walking on the property. Nothing good avoid this place
this has been my worst experience ever. beds are broke, slanted to the side. lamp shades are missing. room stinks. nothing matches in the room , looks like they bought everything from goodwill. don't stay here, you will think you will get robbed . and the staff is very unprofessional. lol they charge a 5 dollar fee for the remote to the TV. need I say more? oh and the bedding had blood stains on them.
We didn't actually stay at the hotel(after the reviews on the site, thank god!)but when hurricane matthew was gonna come through we were looking for a hotel. We got to the ambassador and the charge was gonna be 250$! Total crap, and we went next door to the enterprise(an honest business for once.)and found out the ambassador is usually are cheaper but theyre taking advantage of people looking for a place to stay during the hurricane!Sad that ANYBODY would do this.It should be a crime.Go to the enterprise, might not be super nice but they deserve the business simply for being an honest buisness. oh and when you find out the Wi-Fi password...its awesome.
I have stayed in a lot of little hotels/motels in the area and this one by far has done a number. When I arrived here the door was locked as the attendee was cleaning a room. She saw me standing there at the door, she came out and said give me a few minutes. Really... excuse me.. you are the one that need my business and you are going to make me wait outside.. Really??? Well, she did for a few minutes. Prior to me arriving here I had called and was told you can only book online, and when you do they literally charge after the second person in the room extra. I always pick a double queen as I have kids, at the time of checking I let them know of my kids. This motel literally charges per child $20.00. That is just ridiculous. A room based on two queen bed can hold 4 people with no extra cost.
