Lovely villa, in wonderful relaxing location
We had a wonderful two weeks family holiday in Orba. We arrived very late on our first night due to flight delays but Jose, the Villa manager, left all exterior lights on to make it easier to gain access. The Villa itself was very clean and well looked after and the kitchen was very well stocked with plates, pots pans etc. The air con in the main bedroom and the fans were a god send in the evening, as temperatures didn’t dip much below 26 degrees.
The true beauty of this villa lie in its location on the side of a mountain, with panoramic views of Orba below and it’s fantastic pool.
Orba is quite a sleepy little town (except during the fiesta!) but has numerous bars and restaurants whose food is both excellent and reasonably priced. Have to put a plug in here for the Awraba Restaurant in Orba. Fantastic value set menu and lovely surroundings in rear walled gardens. Would suggest you book!
There are numerous towns and beaches within 40 mins drive and would recommend
a visit to Denia, Altea and Moraira. Beach wise definitely try El Portet next to Moraira. Not too crowded and it’s great for young kids, as the bay is very protected and the beach slopes very gently into the sea.
All in all my family voted this to be one of our best holidays yet, in terms of villa and location. We would definitely recommend it to others looking for a peaceful summer retreat and will hopefully return one day ourselves.
Finally one last mention should go to Jose, who helped in any way he could during our stay and who is a very courteous and discreet host.
