Staff were all really friendly and helpful, breakfast was really good, and the pool was clean. Really low pressure in the showers and just-ok beds were both expected for the price but we were still comfortable. Our room had a pretty significant ant problem in the bathroom on the third day (no food, they were going for wet swimsuits). Not a high security location, houseless folks occasionally hung out in the pool area and around the lobby doors at night, I didn't see any non-guests going up and down the stairs but there's nothing to stop non-guests from walking all through the hotel and even up to your room window. There were plenty of kids there but I wouldn't bring my toddler again if only because the houseless folks around the pool made it feel uncomfortable for our daughter and she loves to swim so a pool is a must for us while traveling. I would definitely stay here again with adults :) I generally have no problem with houseless folks just trying to stay comfortable but twice there was a guy having a loud argument with himself and saying some pretty upsetting things for a long time in the pool area and walking up and down the stairs towards guest rooms, I feel like that is something the hotel staff should have had some boundaries over for safety and for maintaining a family friendly environment. Otherwise the staff were excellent and amenable.

No complaints. A recommendation: There was no soap in the bathroom. I mentioned this to the desk upon checking out after my stay. Checked in at 7PM checked out at 8AM. Was told at the desk that there was a shortage of soap and it was available upon demand. It would have been helpful IF there was a note at check in saying you had to ask for the soap. I assumed there would be soap.

The breakfast was really nice as well as the pool and courtyard area. The average rating is because of the room itself and location of our room. We were placed on the first floor right next to the stairs and elevator. It was loud all night and we could hear every word of every conversation happening outside our door. Not to mention the light that floods in because of the courtyard. It wasnt a bad experience but wouldnt necessarily book here in the future.

I’ve stayed at a bunch of hotels in Irvine and this one beats all of them hands down! The bedding is fantastic and the hotel amenities are wonderful. Check in and check out process was a breeze and the staff was friendly and provided excellent service. I’ll recommend all my friends and family to stay here.

Unfortunately our stay was less than desirable. When we walked into the room it was musty and smelled funny. Thankfully I brought a diffuser. We turned on the A/C but it really never got cool. I had to kill a live bug in the bathroom, hair was on the floor (not ours), we received a prank call at 3:30am, and there was not enough food at breakfast. The location was convenient to our event but that was about the only redeeming quality.

Do not stay here!!!

Don’t stay here. Lots of bugs in the room and spiders. Doors don’t seal and they crawl into room. The carpet was sticky and super dirty. Lots of families and kids running around with no supervision. Felt as if I was visiting my parents at their apartment in the hood. The trash cans outside overfilled and lots of nasty liquids ran down the walkways. The best way to describe this is lipstick on a pig.

This property is obviously older and the neighborhood is run down but the owners have kept up withmodernizing, fixing problems and providing for the needs of their guests. Its a great mix of old and new.It was clean. My husband was thankful of the roll in shower so he could clean up without help. The breakfast is very nice. It waseverything we needed.
