We stayed at this hotel last weekend while there for a basketball tournament. We stayed two nights. The hotel facilities were nice and the breakfast was good and different both days. There are great outdoor seating areas. The problem was with charges. We reserved the room through Hotwire which requires prepayment. We should not have been charged again. We checked our online bank account and saw pending charges for $40 and $160. We stopped at the front desk to ask. She said there was a $40 pending charge for incidentals. We understand that because every hotel does that. It's refunded after a few days if it isn't used. She was unable to explain the pending $160 and kept telling us it would come off in a few days but was unable to tell us why it was there. We asked for a manager and of course they were "out of town." First thing Tuesday morning those charges were gone. However, there was a new pending charge for $159.36. What's that for you ask? No clue. Sounds like a room charge based on the odd amount. We called a manager and were told it would be taken off right away. Next day...charge is still there but no longer pending. It's fully gone through and off our account. Rest assured we are calling again today but let me say they have been less than helpful. As much as we thought the hotel facility was nice, I'm doubtful we'd ever stay there again due to not being able to trust that they won't charge our credit card without authorization.
We have stayed her before so we were a little surprised and dissappointed the Pool was closed. I wished I would have know because I would have probably moved our reservations. The staff was polite and did let us go over to a sister property to use their pool (ok, but not convenient) we were told it had been down for more than a week. The Pool did get fixed on Friday . If you have children and the Pool is a big deal you may want to confirm all is in working order. We arrived on a Wednesday, they had the dessert/drink social that was basic but nice, loved the chocolate chip cookies. They had also updated decor since the last time we had been there. The Staff is very friendly, helpful and polite.
The pool was great because it was fairly shallow on one end for the younger kids so the adults didn’t have to get in. The breakfast was above average with a good variety and lots of options for kids and adults alike. The room was good, it had been mostly updated and was spacious. The location was close to the interstate but surprisingly a little difficult to see from the frontage road. A good option if what you need to get to is nearby.
We were here for a soccer tournament and it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel was quiet, clean and well maintained. We appreciated having a clean kitchen in our room to be able to utilize in between games. The staff at breakfast was attentive, hard-working, and friendly. There was oatmeal, cereal, waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, and a small selection of breads. The pool area was clean and fresh towels were at each chair/lounge area. Our only complaint (hardly worth mentioning) was the elevator was slow and with only one for the hotel it was faster to take the stairs. All in all it was a great place to stay for the weekend!
My wife and I stayed here because this hotel is so close (walking distance) to the shuttle stop for the Garmin Marathon. Great hotel. We asked for a room far from the elevator and the friendly staff accommodated us. Our room had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen! We will definitely be back....
The location is right in the middle of tons of shopping, food options, and right off the highway. It's across the street from the best BBQ in Kansas City, Joes of KC. I stayed here for work 6 years ago and loved it. They have only gotten better. The entire staff, front deck, food, housekeeping, maintenance is very helpful and attentive. They listen instead of ignoring you. I'm halfway through a three week stay for work and excited to cook in the outdoor area as the weather has just warned up. The hot tub really helps with my back pain after a long day. Thank you to everyone at the Residence Inn Olathe!!!
We stopped here on our way to Atlanta. The hotel is in a nice part of town with several restaurants nearby. It is off the highway so quiet and and restful. The hotel is very nice and so are the staff The breakfast is good and was replaced constantly so there were many options to choose from. The room was spacious and comfortable and the price was very reasonable. Pets are welcome and the hotel and area outside are very clean. It has an indoor poor and hot tub which was nice after the long drive. The only down side was the small pantry onsite which charged a lot for a soda and probably other items. Will definitely stay here again when passing through or when we return later this summer for a family trip to Nashville
I had a good stay. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and not much fuss. When you book, be sure to request an oven if you would like one in your room. While all of the rooms have a stove top, fridge, microwave, etc. not all have ovens. I booked a suite under the impression they all had ovens due to the room description, but this not the case. However, they accommodated me once I made the discovery that my room was sans an oven. Keep in mind that if you stay here, you may have a long walk to your room as there are not a lot of parking places except directly out in front of the hotel. I was in room 201 with a exterior door right outside my door, but no parking was on that side of the building except a few handicap spaces.
This was a really clean and comfortable hotel. Although we don't have a pet I was happy to see they are pet friendly and even have dog biscuits at the front desk. The fireplace in the lobby made it feel welcoming. The rooms were really clean and nice. I wish the A/C would have worked a little better but we were able to open the windows to cool the room down. The room was very quiet even with a full hotel. The breakfast was good. Your usual hot continental breakfast selection except it included a tortilla breakfast selection as well as a waffle bar. My only complaint is that the hall to get to the pool and the hall from the lobby to the elevator is the same and it is slick tile floor so I was afraid of slipping each time I came in or left.
I have stayed at quite a few and this is one of the better ones. Really nice carpet, clean rooms, ok breakfast, and great front desk staff. Definitely would stay here again. Bonus, you can walk to Schlotzsky's for lunch or dinner sandwich.
