It was a great property for our event and very accommodating. The host was super responsive and very friendly. There were a couple of issues with getting the TVs to work with the WiFi but overall we had a fantastic weekend.

A much needed family visit

Had a few issues getting folks comfortable with the AC but beyond that this was an AMAZING stay and so grateful for the opportunity to have our extended family and our doggos together for the first time in many years! Incredible beach access and so many great photos with our family. Thank you!

Beach Trip With Family & Friends

Overall property is as listed. Owner was easily reachable and responsive. Group of 5 families with children fit comfortably. Pool was very nice and clean. Overall would recommend this property.

We very much enjoyed this home and all the amenities! And loved that we could take our puppy too! We’ve been vacationing in OIB for 40 years and this home is one of the best that we’ve rented. The location on the island is ideal, close to the center of the island but yet still quiet. Had great experience with communications with the host. My only complaint (and it’s not exclusive to this home) is the cleanliness! It’s awful! Nobody checks on the quality of their work.

My family & I stayed @ Beach House West over Spring Break. I was very concerned about finding a place that would meet all of our needs…oceanfront, pet friendly, heated pool, enough beds with the right configuration for our family, and be affordable. This house was everything that was advertised! Upon check-in we found the house very clean. The ocean view is completely unobstructed. The pool is gated & just down the steps. (We paid a reasonable extra fee to have it heated). The ocean is just down the private walkway and mid-way there is a deck w/rocking chairs! After a day of beach & pool, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals for the family. Just as important, the beds were extremely comfortable. The host was very responsive during the rental process as well as during our stay. We noticed there was not a golf cart at the property. When we asked about it we were told it was being serviced & would not be available during our stay. We expressed our disappointment and by 5:00 that afternoon the host had rented and delivered a golf cart for our use throughout our stay. I highly recommend this property. It is definitely “as advertised”, and the host goes “above and beyond” to ensure you feel at home and your expectation are exceeded.

incredibly dirty and worn

Socks from prior renter in bedroom, food and dirt on the floor behind doors and under cabinets. Shelving in fridge broken, no trash bag in kitchen (not even one or two) dirty inside drawers and cabinets in kitchen. Pool wasn't heated even after we called a second time to request it. Beer cans and bottles on ground all over dunes around pool fencing and walking to beach. Bedrooms were all very hot and home was humid, water damage on ceiling and carpets wet to the touch. Couldnt get any of the tvs in bedrooms to work. Location was wonderful and pool area and beach were perfect. Hope they will thoroughly clean the home and update HVAC. Could be an incredible place with a little more attention given to upkeep.

Great Location and Facility for Our Family Reunion

We had a wonderful time at Ocean Isle Beach NC using this rental as a base of operations. It is right on the beach and morning and evenings in the rocking chairs on the deck overlooking the ocean were fantastic. The accommodations were roomy and comfortable for the most part. The pool area has a shower as does the beach access. The beach access also has a spigot for washing your feet after coming from the beach. The large golf cart was also definitely a plus. There were some minor cleanliness issues, e.g. pet urine smell in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Also, the television in one of the upstairs bedrooms didn't work. The host was very responsive when I contacted him about these issues. They sent someone over right away, who was very friendly and accommodating. Also, many of the mattresses were in poor condition with deep depressions in the areas where people are most likely to sleep. The unit is a duplex; and it is easy to hear occupants in the adjacent unit through the walls in the bedrooms. The living rooms and kitchens are separated by a breezeway between the units which helps somewhat with that. I would recommend this rental for family beach vacations. We had a wonderful time, and made excellent memories which we will always treasure.
